Truck was beat up real bad and smelt like cigarettes smoke with a whole in the seat. Then the guy checking me into the truck gave me a hard time about my severe animal he asking if he sheds bad. I then pointed out the smoke and the hole. And I had to call to ask what types of gas bc it was not indicated on contract. It was a gas truck in such bad shape it engine wise it ran ruff like a disal.

I was told I driven the truck 16 miles and the destination to pick up furniture was down the street from the this company back to my address to drop off an later after seven I return vehicle just like I receive if I was charge a additional 22$ next time I need for managerment to explain contract much better than they did thank you n advance

FIRST RENTED 1 ONE WAY FROM NEW JERSEY TO FLORIDA. UPON ARRIVING IN FLORIDA . THE DROP OFF LOCATION WAS NO LONGER A U-HAUL . WENT TO THE NEXT CLOSEST . TERRIBLE LOCATION . WAS TOLD BECAUSE I WAS DROPPING IT OFF AT DIFFERENT LOCATION THERE WOULD BE A ADDITIONAL CHARGE AND EITHER WAY THEY WERE UNABLE TO ACCEPT MY DRIVE ON TRAILER . REASON FOR THIS NOT : CONTACTED WENDALL PINKETT AT THE 2055 STATE RD 436 , WINTER PARK . BEST GENERAL MANAGER YOU HAVE . WAS ABLE TO RETURN BOTH THE TRUCK AND TRAILER THERE WITHOUT A PROBLEM . GOT A RENTAL UNIT THERE AND HAVE KEPT A UNIT FROM AUG 17 TILL FEB 18 . DID UPGRADE AND DOWNGRADE AS NEEDED. DID ALSO RENT A CARGO VAN AND 3 TRUCKS I BELIEVE FOR A TOTAL OF 5 RENTALS . WENDALL WAS ALWAYS THERE TO HELP ME IN ANY WAY HE CAN . VERY PROFESSIONAL AND A PEOPLE PERSON . U-HAUL NEEDS MORE PEOPLE LIKE HIM . THANK YOU WENDALL PINKETT SINCERELY , JOSEPH MELON

The truck I rented had mechanical problems. The wheels were so out of balance that the truck was undriveable above 64 miles an hour making it a hazard on the road. The power steering unit fluid was ether low or getting ready to die. The personal on both sided of the trip were professional and attentive.

Even though the trailer I rented came completely off the hitch before I left the parking lot....even though the appliance dolly was not put into the trailer and I had to return to get it....the staff did all the appropriate things to make it right and, most importantly, sincerely apologized for the inconvenience.

Costumer service is terrible. I specifically ask for a specific method of payment. The person who did all the paper work missed up everything and I got charge with overdraft fees. Need a better customer service personnel.

Have employee that answer the phone to give you correct information. I was told very confidently that if a third party wants to pay they have to be there in person and that truck rental for local (or whithin the country) has to be paid in person only. I asked to speak with a manager because I was told the opposite when I went in person to get a quote. She said she would relay the message but that it would be the same answer. As I waited the manager just simply said it's paid for see you here at pick up time. I didn't appreciate the confident I'm right your misinformed attitude which could've easily turned into something worse. I'm thankful for God's grace on me to stay calm cool and collective but please fix that. It might not have the same result again.

I made an appointment for 10 am. The day before Uhaul called me for confirmation at 10am and I advised I will see them in the morning. The next morning I arrived at 0950. I stood inside the Uhaul and the lady said she doesn't know where the two guys are. I continue to wait for several minutes while she went to find someone to assist me. Several more minutes went by and a gentleman walked in by the name of Wendal. After the paper work was completed Wendal told me to back up to trailer #1075, so I walk out and looked for the trailer. After several minutes I wasn't able to find the trailer and out comes Wendal. I advised him I couldn't find the trailer and he looked and couldn't find it either. He then advised me to pull over to this side location that it was probably parked there, so I did. Once we got there he said the trailer was blocked in!! He then told me to drive around to where two trailers were sitting and he replied to pick one and he would hook it up. I went to the trailers and picked up to one and he then said I couldn't take that one to pull over to one that appeared to have damage to the right fender. I stepped out of my vehicle and looked at the trailer that had wire ties holding the fender on and told Wendal I don't feel safe driving that one to Tennessee. So now Wendal tells me to drive back over to the other side and he would dig one out. I then drove back over and he pulls one out of a parking spot and hooks it up. Mean while my wife calls me and ask where I was at and I advised her what was going on. She pulled up your contract that states if the trailer wasn't ready at pickup Uhaul will take 50 dollars off. I showed Wendal the contract and he advised it doesn't work that way. This was the worst experience I have ever had and will never rent from that location again

The pick up process was great. There was about a 15 minute wait but the woman who took care of us was very nice, polite and helpful. The man who brought out the truck and checked it with us was also very nice and helpful. The return process is what turned this rental. There were quite a few trucks coming in at once but there seemed to be some people that didn't know what they were doing. A female came up to us and said the other guy would be with us soon. We waited about 15 minutes then the same female came to check the mileage and said she couldn't check us in because she didn't have her phone. She then sent us inside with our paperwork. There was only one person inside and when he finished with the person he was with, he went outside. There were already at least 2 people outside but no one seemed to be able to check us out. At this point we had waited another 10-15 minutes when a man finally came back in and asked people who had come after us if they were waiting to check out. I said we were waiting to check out too and we had been there first. He then told the girl who had checked the mileage on our truck to check us out and he helped the people who came in after us. She said she didn't know how to do it and he kept telling her it was just like on the phone. She was mad he was making her check us out and made faces the entire time. She tried to say we had the truck for 2 days and I told her we had picked it up that morning. She made more faces. It finally got done but it was a long, painful process. I know a lot of people come in at the same time but you need to keep more staff who know what they are doing at peak times. If the return process had been like the pick up process, this would have been a 5 star experience.

When I rented the track yesterday, I informed the employee this rental should not be tax exempt. When I returned it today noticed no tax was being applied. No employee at the facility knew how to correct it, this was after waiting about 15-20 minutes for someone to check in the truck.

The manager Wendell at the Winter Park Semoran Boulevard is whiny black and annoying..he rambles and will sit there and interview females for personal info ..google ladies names in front of you! Psycho Creeper!! Wendell focuses on hair and shoes with customers to lunch instead of getting his business with the equipment done. He's incompetent and argumentative when he makes mistakes and do unprofessional things as a manager there. We had to call corporate offices on him. He screams when hw is proven wrong..dont go to his location alone ladies!
