Customer service was terrible. The gentleman that assisted me was less than excited to help me and the tire pressure light was on when I first started the truck. He told me it wasn't a big deal.Frank R.
The owner at this location was nice on 1st call to confirm rental booked by Owings, md location- and discussed All charges before pickup. Called back with a question and he told me not to call back... ? Went in to provide ID (with mask) and he was rude. Picked up the box truck - wouldn't start, asked him for help and he jumped in angrily, started the truck, slammed the door and left. Moved our load and returned the vehicle with no issues and pictures to reflect that. Left keys in Dropbox as instructed. Then, get a text at 9:30pm (hours after returning the vehicle) telling me to click a link a confirm vehicle returned or pay a $20 inconvenience fee (wasn't told to me). Followed instructions and weblink did not work. Then get another message saying there's a $60 minimum fee (wasn't explained after I explicitly asked for all details). So a $20 rental plus mileage and refill of gas (estimated $130 - turned into almost double). Finally, he said the vehicle was not returned, when I have pics and timestamps and keys in Dropbox as proof. So I called Owings, MD location- extremely helpful and spoke to area manager who resolved all my issues. This location is dangerous, non-trustworthy, rude and imagine if you get charged for a non-returned truck? On top of bogus charges. BEWARE. go Anywhere else. All facts. All true. He's a scammer. You think you can trust a brand like u-haul, not with dirty owner/operators. Thank you to Owings, MD location that helped me resolve and pay $138. As expected after escalating it to the area manager.David S.
Had to go into the store to find keys to truck. Also, was lucky to have alternate driver with license. My state (Maryland) does not have their DMV offices open to due COVID so expired licenses are still valid. I was denied when a I submitted a photo of my license. Although it is expired on its face, it is still valid. Other than that, the process was very easy.EULANDA H.
The truck was clean but there was a warning about the tire. The guy at the counter was rude and short with his answers. When I returned and tried to check out on-line the mileage the system had was different from was the truck had. So the guy comes out and I tell him what the website said he response was "why do you think I out here" he lucky he aint... When I made the reservation online I denied the insurance. After I returned the truck and got the receipt I saw the extra insurance charge. When I inquired I was told that I had to have insurance. When I told him I declined it online I was told that was not possible that they wouldn't just let me rent a $100,00 truck with no insurance .Darel P.
This uhaul was the filthiest vehicle I have ever been in. It had dirty tissues in the door, jewelry in the cup holder, trifold on the dash, a sticky steering wheel, a filthy head unit it (radio area), a smeared windshield, and my moving blankets were never put in the truck. This is all in addition to the worst smell that no matter how much spray or bleach towelettes I used would not go away.Dalton L.

I was told by the central reservation service that I could pick up the truck at 8 am if I did on-line check-in. I did that and could not get my truck at 8 and had to wait for someone to get there at 8:45. He was very helpful and understanding of the fact that I was quite irritated at having to wait around when I was told the I could get the truck earlier. He was great!!Marikay S.
