I dont blame the people more the system n miscommunication tho everyones human n makes mistakes it was a little frustrating to pack then need to being back the truck for a diffrent one doing so created a whole mess hopefully there can be a way to help comunicate this better so it can help the costomers and staff but im impressed how when they stuggled they found a way too make it work n was kind to be the whole time yes i woupd use them again

On way to Sioux Falls, received call from 1st place that I was to drop off said they were full and he needed me to drop off at another site, sent me text with address. Had to drive to first location to get gas nearby, then drive back to other place. Drop trailer off Saturday night when I arrived, took truck Monday morning, manager was refusing to take truck and trailer, said I had to take to another location or I would get charged $200 wrong site fee. Had to call uhaul number and talked to a lady that said to drop it there and I would not get charged. So much hassle, I bent over backwards to accommodate uhaul with nothing toward me!! Very poor service!!!!!
More professionalism. Make sure odometers are correct and maybe stop the false advertisement of the price.
My experience with this location was a nightmare. I booked and made a reservation at another location and wasn't able to pick up the truck, and then when I return this truck on the day it was too I get told that I have to pay 700 and some dollars for a damaged or missing truck. Super frustrated that I got charge for two dollies when I only had one. Even with that I got charged a $700 fee and I'll top of that I got charged an insufficient funds fee in my bank because I was being charge for a missing truck which was returned
The back door was frozen solid with snow ice, needed to chip away to open.

Cashier was incompetent. $19.99 per day as advertised on the trucks turned out to be about $83 for two hours.
Truck was not at the pictures stated and clerk was agreeing with me about the pictures as I was filling out truck info online. Stating oh you only need mileage and gas to worry about. This truck needs to be retired it rides like an old log truck.
Staff are very consumer-oriented and are good problem-solvers. Corporate computer system (for both reservations and purchases of supplies, however, is slow and klunky. Vehicles are always clean. Prices are reasonable.
They lost my truck. I rented my truck for a one way trip on Saturday. So, it was due Monday morning. All of the adults in my household worked Monday morning so we dropped the truck off Sunday evening. The drop off location closed at 5 and we got there right at closing. My travel companion dropped the keys off with an employee and, after a very brief conversation, we left. We even saw the employee move the truck to another location on the lot as we were leaving. On Tuesday evening, I got a call from a different employee asking if I wanted to extend my contract as my truck was due that morning. I said absolutely not as I had dropped off my truck two days previously, I also advised stated that my truck was due Monday morning, not Tuesday which was the whole reason for dropping it off Sunday night. She apologized and said she'd make sure there were no additional fees attached. On Wednesday morning I woke up to an email that I had been charged an additional $63 for the extra day and coverage. I called them first thing on Wednesday morning. They explained that the additional charge was because my truck was checked in Tuesday morning. I was livid. I explained the whole thing again. They said that they would have their manager and refund â€œif he felt it was appropriate.â€ I told them that I would love a call back from the manager once he made that determination, especially if he did not feel it was appropriate. I got a call back several hours later who told me that I would be refunded the late fee and that was it. No explanation as to what happened. No apology. No call back from the manager. It was very disappointing.
The van had a cigarrete-like smell and brown tobacco-like crums in the cup holders. The van was generally clean but the smell bothered me a lot. I would suggest to try having a non smoking policy for van rentals.
Alex was the associate at the pick up point in Sioux falls. He was terrific and I told him he was. Management quality.
The truck smelled like someone heavily smoked in it with the windows up. One employee there, a younger blonde guy with a hat, was SUPER unprofessional. He was a call with someone and using profanity after the call. When I went to return the truck, he took the key and kind of just walked away. The other younger guy, with darker hair, was super nice and professional. He explained what the other guy was doing.
Uhaul is usually so great. Was very disappointed this time.

The uhaul nerfs a little maintenance. It wasnt shifting properly
This wasn't a huge issue but I wish damages had been clarified on the truck. I noticed that the trucks right side had scratches and there were stickers over it. Clearly that wasn't an issue in the long run but I worried those would be charged against me even though I had nothing to do with them. This doesn't change my opinion though. The truck was easy to drive and moving was much cheaper than any other option presented.

The pickup location was changed from what I had requested. The alternate location wasn't out of the way and not far from the original location, so no big deal. The trailer was upgraded one size. No one knew why, but it worked out nicely having the larger trailer. Pickup of the trailer took a bit longer than expected.
I'm sure my issue is not normal but when I arrived and the trailer was hooked up, the lights did not work. We connected to another trailer and they worked fine. I had to settle for an open trailer verses the enclosed trailer I preferred. There was no out of town trailers available to use. I then ended up having to pull and fight with the trailer I feel I was pushed into using. The drive that took over 8 hours to drive should have only taken 6, the extra time was spent repairing the tarp over and over. This prompted me to decide that purchasing my own trailer is a better idea
find a way to better communicate how much fuel I need to re-add to the vehicle to avoid a fee - your agents can tell down to a 10th of a gallon when I check back in but I have to read the tiny meter on the dashboard and guess if its right.
Bought moving blanket but when I got home, they were not in the truck. Alex secured my vehicle on the transport trailer, but put on the wheel straps incorrectly. They had to be cut off in Chicago.
Tried to check in after hours using the /Share app. I couldn't set my phone to allow UHaul to see my location. Chatted with a rep but her advice did not help and then I lost the connection. Then made a phone call, waited what seemed to be nearly 30 minutes for someone to answer. That tech provided the same advice as on the chat so was no help in that respect. However, she did annotate my account with notes that the trailer had been returned and told me to expect an e-mail confirmation a few hours after opening the next morning. About 3 PM the next afternoon I still not received that notice, so I called again. This again added notes and again promised a response within a few hours. Finally received the notice about 2:00 AM the following morning.
