Nobody will ever be more grateful for your kind and understanding employees than me. I was wrongfully evicted and being denied access to 30 yrs of personal property by the "new owner" of my home. After I rented the uhaul online, the order was updated to pick up the truck at a location farther away. When I called, the cust rep said that was the only option and when i asked if i would receive a discount she said no, and no again. I begrudgingly picked up the uhaul at the updated location, and was almost in tears when the young man at the counter remedied the situation and provided 2 dollies and blankets at no extra charge. I drove home feeling relieved having been treated like a worthy human being for the first time in quite awhile. And then the new owner denied me access to my personal property and demanded I hire movers who were licensed and bonded, after he failed to secure the home and many of my possessions were missing. I managed to hire movers, with their own truck at 6:30 on a Sunday morning, a near impossible feat but didnt get a response from the new owner until after 9am, meaning I missed the 9:15am cutoff to return the truck a day early. Oh well. He never allowed me in, said he would tell movers what to take, which is illegal, he isnt legally allowed alone with my property until after 15 days after eviction which is may 8th, 4 days away. So, i paid for both trucks, and got to move none of my things. This "new owner" has taken advantage of me not having an attorney, cut corners, taken shortcuts, and ignored the civil code of procedures. He thinks I'm stupid but he is very wrong. His attorneys are bullies and laughed when I asked them to advise their client to follow the law, they said they'd call him but wont. They've advised him to do the things hes doing because I'm represented by no one, just me, and they can get away with it. So, i returned the truck the morning it was due, having moved nothing, but was returning it to a place where i wasn't treated like garbage and was given basic human respect. Jokingly, i said I'm returning your least used vehicle ever, turned in the keys and went on my way home. If you have ever experienced eviction or foreclosure, wrongful or not, it is humiliating and demeaning. For some it is not worth surviving,it can be that bad. So whether or not your employee even recalls his act of kindness to me that saturday morning, it reminded me that people can be kind, it gave me my hope back when i lost it. What may have seemed like a small gesture by your employee to a customer, meant everything to me in that moment. It may have been just making a situation right, but it kept me going, kept me believing that people will still do right and good when given the choice. He could have said no, said company policy wouldn't allow, but he didnt. I hope you recognize this young man, his name escapes me at this moment, I apologize my mind is still coping with a desperate situation as my belongings are still locked away and I'm running out of time. 4 days is not enough time to retrieve 30 years from a home. I will somehow get through this mess, I hope. Your employee gave me hope again, it's a valuable commodity that people dont appreciate much anymore. I've told a couple dozen people about this experience, and will continue to tell others. They may not care, but that's not the point. It really helped me more than you know in that moment to continue on. Thank you for hiring and keeping good people, I think you should promote this employee personally, give him a bonus, or something so he knows how meaningful his actions were that day. Thank you for reading to the end of this, I didnt intend to write a novel, but hope you will pass it along accordingly. Almost forgot...i also received a refund of $25 dollars when i returned the truck, so kudos to that young man as well, I was too exhausted to figure the exact amount of gas and I believe that's where the refund was from. I never would have noticed if he didnt, but just so you know, that $25 feeds my dog and two cats for a month. I may not have a home anymore, but I'm okay if my pets are okay. Thank you again, I will use uhaul exclusively in the future if I have the need and will suggest uhaul to others when the opportunity arises. Encourage and recognize your employees for doing good things and for acts of kindness. God knows there's not enough of it these days and ho would've ever thought that my hope would be renewed because of a simple transaction at uhaul...thank you again, I promise that's all. The lock for getting the key is not very intuitive. Please add instructions of turning that small lever once you enter the word on the lock in your documentation.

When a vehicle is being returned, the person receiving the vehicle should be clear if the person is good to go. I sat in the vehicle for about 5 mins waiting for someone to receive the vehicle. Only to have an employee walk up to say, "oh you can just leave the keys in the vehicle". Then he just walked away with no direction if I was good to go or if I need to do anything more. Other than that the return process was quick and easy. Thank you for your service.

Things I rent here are normally dirty. The biggest problem I have is what I rent online is not the same as what I'm given. I rented the Ford cargo van because it is larger. I has given a Chevy Express which made my job more difficult. I don't know if this is a corporate or a location issue. Regardless, you can't change the equipment someone is renting. I won't be renting another vehicle from uhaul.

I've been charged $202.59. My receipt (via email shows a total of $193.92. That same receipt indicates I rented 4 dollies. I actually rented 2 dollies. One (1) of those dollies was bent such that it couldn't be used to pick up boxes. Each box had to be picked up and placed on the dolly, then rolled away, and then again picked up and taken off the dolly at the other end. That doubles the amount of work required to move boxes. So, essentially, using that bent dolly cancelled out the benefit of using both dollies Regardless I was charged for four and rented only two (2), of which one (1), was damaged. I should be charged for only one (1) dolly rental. $8.67 ($202.59-$193.92) $21.00 ($7.00 x 3) $29.67 It looks like I've been over charged by $29.67 plus any applicable taxes. When a customer rent a u- Haul, there should be enough gas in that truck to take you to the nearst gas station, my truck ran out of gas one mile after I left the station. NOT GOOD

I've moved several times in my life and used U-Haul most of the time. After the way I was treated I might have to rethink that for future moves. I got to the location 30 min early as per past experience if you don't get there early you're usually waiting in a long line. To my surprise there was no one there. When I got to the counter to check in after asking my name the guy behind the counter said “you're 30 minutes early “ I said yes, it's usually good to be early. He then proceeded to tell me that they're waiting for a truck and that the truck might not be there right at 10 to which I said I made a reservation for 10 and I have movers coming at 10 so I need to truck by 10. With a lot of attitude and push back he finally figured out a solution. What I didn't appreciate was being talked down to because I showed up early. He was rude and condescending, not what you want in customer service. I also don't understand how my original quote was $53 and somehow I ended up paying $103 I understand that it fluctuates but that seems like a lot to pay to use a truck for two hours and only go 20 miles. Needless to say from the rude person behind the counter to overpaying to use the truck I will have to look at other choices in the future.

The truck was very shaky which lead to: Not being able to use side mirrors because they are vibrating so violently that you can't make out any objects & the plastic backing behind the center seat slams against another plastic piece that is louder than the road noise with the windows rolled down. The 12 o clock of the steering wheel needs to be at 2 o clock to drive straight.
