Customer Reviews

I received a quote for a longer rental and was overcharged by over $500.00 and after repeated calls U Haul would not correct their errors. I was charged on my Visa Card without my authorization several times. I am trying to recoup my money through the credit card. All I can say is be aware of your charges! NEVER AGAIN U HAUL!

Great service & Price

Waited 3 days to receive email invoice.

We did have 1 van with mechanical issues, so perhaps some addl. diligence on the maintenance would be a help. Staff are very professional and helpful.

No cause for improvement with this past rental experience. I would like to let you know that Debbie who took the reservation over the phone in the AM was very helpful, nice and professional. Also, Ellen, who checked us in was also very friendly, proficient and professional. This great customer service is not easy to find in the MD/DC area. Many thanks to them.

Multiple cashiers to handle customers. Knowledgeable, friendly personnel to hook up trailers in the back. Efficient process and reasonable prices.

They issued me paperwork for a one truck and a gave me another costing me about $35in gas. They made me park my personal vehicle a block away while I paid for the rental.

Very nice staff

I held the reservation with a credit card; however, it was difficult to pay with cash instead of a credit card. It took about 10 minutes for them to figure out how to process the cash payment. Offer no credit card reservations.

You need to train your employees in using better customer service skills. This place was lacking.

I had planned for a late night return, however the lot was blocked off on all sides. I therefore had to get a hotel and check in the next morning, driving the trailer in rush hour traffic.

I was incorrectly charged for an extra day when I returned the truck on time.

They *really* need more space! Lots of inventory, but access was very tight.

I have used this location for many occasions and had great service over the last 3-4 years. Thank you!

Do not close entrances of lots when spaces are available for return vehicles. If you do, have a back up lot. Leaving the customers with no options other than try again is unacceptable.

Parking was a problem. I looked online for a phone number connected to the Uhaul location, found it, and I didn't know at the time... but I reached out to the central Uhaul HQ's. I spoke with someone who said that they "think" I can park at the location and leave my car there but that they weren't sure and didn't see any reason why I couldn't. When I showed up and asked the man at the counter, he instructed me to go park in a parking lot across the street at another business. I ended up just parking on a residential street a 10 min walk away. This was the most annoying part of my truck-renting experience. Other than that it was OK.

space for customer parking where they can leave their vehicle on a short rental

Although the guy that signed me up Daniel was helpful and pointed out I needed a higher hitch mount for the trailer, there were a lot of other issues with my rental. 1- tires were flat and even after I told Fredd to fix the issues all tires did not get inflated by him, had to wait there to get the tires inflated, 2- I was charged over $40+ for ball and hitch mount by Daniel where as I could have been charged $20 for a set of ball and hitch mount, also the guy did not give me the pin and clip that came with the hitch mount and used my existing hitch mount pin and clip when he installed the new one on. Finally 3- A guy name Jose checked me in as "Late" even though I bought it in time within the grace period within 1 hour after the due date and charged an extra day for the trailer during after hours.

Called early to find out about the parking possibility at the facility the attendance was positive letting me know there was no problem for park my car at the facility. I did have to leave my car at the shopping center a across the facility at a risk of getting a ticket when it was very annoy because I was by my self and drove all the way to the rental facility having no one to take back my car home. and of curse the customer service at the facility was not polite in managing my situation concerning my issue and then dropping off the rental vehicle at the street at a risk in a space where it could have got hit by a car, so all this was not for to be in good mood. .

Everything went normal, except when given the keys I wasn’t told which truck it was and I didn’t know which one to go into. ( key didn’t have the tag # on the key chain ) However after trying two or three trucks I looked on the invoice and found the tag # of the truck in between the fine print. I wish someone told me the tag # was on the invoice or an escort to the truck would have been great!

First, I was notified the night prior that the equipment that I reserved would not be available at the location it was supposed to be in. I had to alter my travel plans because there were no car transport trailers in my state, I had to drive up another state. When I arrived at the Rockville location, I was hooked up to a trailer and sent in my way. As I exited the driveway one of the tires on the trailer has flopping around. The tire was cut in half and no one even checked it before sending me out. I had to navigate the tight parking lot and streets to return the trailer. I was told that this was the only trailer approved for a one way trip. We waited around for another hour while someone changed the damaged tire. There were about 8 other transport trailers that we were told were either broken or not approved to leave the state. After finally getting on our way the trailer was filthy, covered in sticks and dirt. Along our drive the ramps built into the trainer came out while we were driving and we had to pull over on the interstate to fix them. Overall this was a miserable experience with unsatisfactory equipment and unnecessary delays. This is by far the worst rental I've ever had. No one seemed to care, the equipment was disgusting and defective in almost every way. I paid a lot of money to rent the trailer and I really I wish I hadn't.
