The people at this location are not bad as such, they're pretty helpful, but it looks like some of them are unexperienced, they had to call the manager often. But this didn't really piss me off, it can happen, what made me give them this rating is the technical condition of the trucks. It's clear that nobody does any technical inspection after the customer returns the vehicle, or they just don't care about fixing it. The first 15 ft truck they gave me lacked engine power and the mirrors were stuck with rust, so I couldn't even adjust them. The key was broken at the handle and had no tag, very easy to lose. The truck did't have a dolly inside, too. But this wasn't the worst thing. When I drove it to my house to start loading, I noticed it was handling strangely. When I parked it, I discovered what was wrong about it at once. The outer right rear tire (it has dual wheels) was flat! The rim was damaged badly and had rust on it, so obviously some time ago somebody who never drove anything larger than a sedan used this truck be and didn't make one of the corners, as the wheel had sidewall damage. And nobody noticed it! Of course, I didn't load it because it's absolutely unsafe. I called them and returned the truck. To give them some credit, they gave me the supplies for free for this inconvenience. Well, they gave me a different truck. Guess what? It also had critical sidewall damage on the same wheel, a very deep cut and the cord was showing through. I had to move so I had to take it, while they said "it's all right" (but of course it isn't, tires with such damage are dangerous junk, but they didn't care). When I started it, I found that it had a Check Engine light on (that's probably why it had such horrible MPG about 6.5). Next, I found that the driver's door was very difficult to close completely, you had to slam it with all your strength, otherwise it left a crack and the wind was whistling terribly while driving, not mentioning the loss of heat. But again, the real fun was ahead! When it got dark and I had to turn on the lights, I discovered that the damn thing had dashboard lights out! So I could only see the needles, but not the gauges. Either drive with the cab light on all the time, or try to guess your speed, gas level etc. Oh, and the roof had a dent from the previous mover, which made a small hole, and it was really good that it didn't rain because otherwise my belongings could get wet. Let me tell you, I'm a mechanic by MOS, and this is not how a reputable company maintains their vehicles. Luckily, I'm a good driver and have experience with big trucks in the military, so I made it there and back safely, but I definitely will think more than twice before using U-Haul again. On a side note, why doesn't the company purchase some diesel trucks? The fuel mileage will be way better. In my opinion, it's stupid to use gasoline vehicles for such purposes. Of course, it's all on the customer, I know...

Our rental truck was not in great condition. Both Driver Door and Passenger Door would not shut properly, constantly triggering alerts about the doors not being closed. There was also an alert about needing to service the Tire Pressure Monitor system. The Tire Pressure light was on and the check engine light was on. To me, that signals poorly maintained trucks which could lead to safety issues.

The equipment was clean, the people were kind, and the service was good. When they failed to mention that my hitch install had been completed I was given a discount off the cost of the install on the spot, which was great customer service. And the rental process went off without a hitch...pardon the expression. Thank you for the positive role you played in our move!

Grado:

The gentleman I spoke with was courteous and helpful as I tried to figure out the self check in process. However the truck cab was dirty with something slippery under the pedals and the tires were under inflated to a point where my moving help almost felt it was unsafe to drive. I think the trucks need to be checked better before they go out for an inexperienced big vehicle driver...

The truck rental process was great. The movers we hired (Elite movers ) thru U-Haul were not. They never showed up. It took 8 hours for my daughter & I to move everything. That was awful.

IT SUCKED

Paul J. en

Grado:

Parking was at a premium. One flaw with truck was the mirror needed repair. All else was fine

Gary R. en

Grado:

Little bit of trash in cab & box. Also, top rail (wooden) driver's side in box needs replaced.

RYAN B. en

Grado:

The truck was unbelievably dirty, the box was digusting, uncleaned, caked in stains, mud, and a pile of dirt in it. The wheel dolly wasnt reattached with the plastic zip tie as it should've been, the cab was caked in mud and smoked in, getting the keys after doing the self pickup was a ridiculous joke. 24/7 pickup is incorrect. And the girl at the desk seemingly didnt know you even had a self pickup option. I shouldn't have had to pay for the damn truck. My bed is now ruined due to the unclean condition of the box and the attitudes of the 2 guys working in the return area outside was not welcoming or pleasant. I had to sink $40 into fuel on top of the mileage and rate for the truck to ruin a $600 mattress. I use uhaul often and this unacceptable.

GAHRAMAN G. en

Grado:

I ask for a truck and they said that they could give it to me only for 4 hours. After asking for more hours, they said that i can bring it back at the end of the day. So it was 7hours but they charged me same price

Anastacio B. en

I was charged for gas after I received the truck with less than a quarter of a tank and I returned it with more than I got it with. Person had no explanation for me...

The truck was rough to drive while on the highway, The smell of smoke was in the truck. I was told that I needed to make sure the truck was swept out after using, however when I opened it, the previous user had not done it.
