Broken and abandoned vehicles around lot, broken glass and garbage scattered around lot (on city street & pedestrian walkway); individual working the U-HAUL lot was very helpful and polite.

-The truck was in poor shape. Engine slipped out of gear a couple times. -Received the truck with 5/8ths of a tank, returned it with the same, yet was still charged for gas. I can't argue this because 5/8ths is an estimation and they leave it there on purpose so they can charge for extra gas. -Finally, the truck has a 12' bed and UHaul calls it a 15' truck. The storage above the cab should not be factored into the truck size. Even so, the bed plus the elevated storage is less than 15' and renting it as a 15' truck is a fraud that resulted in me having to make two trips to do my move. Bad business all around that I will happily tell to anyone who asks what I think about renting a vehicle for a move.

The service and location were excellent. UHaul itself never sent me the location of the rental so it took me most of the morning to track it down. It'd be helpful to have the address of the rental in an easy to access email.

I selected a location online, wasn't informed my truck wasn't available there until the day before and got moved to a location 30 minutes away and had to pay the overage on the miles. I also rented equipment that I wasn't informed was unavailable until I arrived. This negatively impacted my entire move. I won't be using uhaul in the future.

Maybe do a walk around the rental to make sure you feel secure on returning in the same condition. Just handing the keys and saying fill it up and sweep out the truck doesn't make a customer feel comfortable. I don't think anyways.

I have been using uhaul for over 5 years. I reserved the uhaul for after hours pickup. When I arrived at the van I followed the pickup prompts and was rejected. Upon calling customer service I was on the phone for 45 minutes with no conclusion, explanation, re-reservation, or remedy. I was told a formal complaint was issued but when I called back the next day none had been issued, I was lied to. I could not move, was left with my items on the curb, and had to reschedule and take off work. There are alternatives to using uhaul in the future and I will take my business elsewhere and will strongly recommend my friends and family to as well.

It was a bit scary to be just standing on the street in a bad neighborhood with my phone out, trying to go through the steps of the app while being only partially aware of my surroundings (because I was concentrating on the app). Next time I'll go to a location where I feel more comfortable going through the app process.

U-Haul Representative gave false information. I was incorrectly charged for fuel. I started out with less than 3/4 tank fuel (please see attached photo) and I specifically asked the representative at my pickup location (640 W MacArthur Blvd, Oakland, CA 94609 - Phone: (510) 653-8789) The representative said it was acceptable and to simply return the truck with the same amount of fuel. However, I was still charged. Please refund $23.83 to my account. Thanks,

Was confirmed for pickup of rental vehicle at a closer location. Then told was not available at that location. This was dismaying and seemed like a "bait and switch" move. This reflects a shortcoming in the overall reservation software of U_Haul and not on the location I had to utilize instead.

I made an attempt to contact this location at 8:09 this morning regarding the U-Haul pickup time and received no answer. I left a message for them to call me back. After I received no answer I went to the location. I ask the young man after he was helping another customer about my reservations and he stated that I was supposed to pick up at 8:30 a.m. and I explained to him that I put in for 9:00 a.m. and check in also. He told me that he was busy the reason why he didn't answer the phone. But when I got there he answering other calls that was coming in. I said to him that I called there twice. I called him again at 9:44 a.m. and still didn't get an answer. So I proceeded to go there He told me that he didn't have a truck available for me. When I ask the gentleman did he have a smaller truck available he said yes a pick up. He ask me how long was I going to have the truck I explained to him that it might take approx.. 2 hour, but I asked him do I have up to 4 hours to keep the truck and he stated yes. I signed the contract not knowing that he put in for me to return the truck back at 12:30. p.m. I told the gentlemen that I had to leave to take my car home and someone drop me back off to the U-Haul place. When I arrived back it was approx. 10:57 a.m. went back into the office and I was handed the keys the truck. He was with another customer renting them the truck that I had requested. I the proceeded to walk around the truck to look for any damages to the truck and there was a dent on the driver side by the tire and scratches on the driver side from the door going toward the back I went back in and explained to the gentlemen that there was a dent in the truck. I was never told to inspect the truck for any damages. When I arrived back there to pick the truck up and was given the keys the time was never changed it still had 10:18 a.m. as if I had removed the truck off the premises .When I drove the truck off the lot and got to the corner the mileage change from as if I had dove the truck for 1 mile and hadn't. I took a picture of it. Because it was fair to me to be charged for a mile and hadn't even went a mile. He told me that he couldn't change the time of pick up so if I pick the truck up at 10:59 a.m. and was suppose to return it back at 12:30 then that means that I would have only had the truck for 1 hour and 31 minutes. I received a call from him at 1:47 p.m. asking me when was I going to return the truck because I had the truck almost 3 hours. The gentlemen said that I was suppose to have the truck back at 12:30 in which he never even stated that to me when he handed me the contract. I told him that I would be on my way back there with the truck. When I arrived a gentlemen ran out to the truck and said something to me when I was on the phone with Sherrie in the U-Haul customer service department I was explaining to her what happen and I was told to call back after the reservation was close to file my complaint. When I was in
