Whoever checked my truck in, LIED. STRAIGHT LIED. NO THAT PERSON DID NOT MAKE A MISTAKE. I DROPPED MY EQUIPMENT OFF BEFORE THERE STORE WAS OPEN AND I WAS CHARGED A LATE FEE OF 20.00 DOLLARS THAT WAS NOT RETURNED. I WAD CHARGED FOR A EXTRA DAY OF RENTAL FEE AND INSURANCE WHICH WAS REFUNDED. I'M JUST UPSET THAT A SERVICE REP AT UHAUL WOULD ATTEMPT SUCH A FEAT ASSUMING THAT THE CUSTOMER (ME) WOULD NOT CHECK MY RECEIPT. THERE'S NO TELLING HOW MANY PEOPLE HAVE BEEN TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF. UHAUL CAN REFUND MY ADDITIONAL 20.00 DOLLARS FOR A FALSE LATE FEE THAT I WAS CHARGED. THAT'S HOW YOU CAN IMPROVE FOR EVERYONE AND NOT JUST THE NEXT CUSTOMERSarah B.

I used the gentilly location in New Orleans, the employee was horrible at communicating, and kept telling us we couldn't extend our rental days for q more day but could extend it for 3 days plus. It just didn't make any sense. And on top of all that they had the wrong phone number for me and they wonder why I wasn't receiving their phone calls but I made sure I called them every day and let them know my situation. Why don't the one-way truck/vans have cruise control? How is that a good policy for any distance? Are you not aware people use the feature without getting into accidents? If anything, not have this useful could cause the accidents your â€˜trying to have clients avoid'. What if the driver has a condition and the strain of continually having their foot down, slowing down, speeding up, eyes away from the street and mirrors is more of a distraction? Without CC this also causes strain on the equipment so that â€˜reason' doesn't make sense either. And the amount of money wasted on fuel, I could go on but this is more than likely a sham to make clients feel that they're considered but I figured why not air my grievances into the empty algorithm void that will auto-generate a no reply email to me.DIANNE O.

New Orleans was unprofessional and nonhelpful. I was told my fuse was out in my Cadillac Escalade, due to right turn signal. Made me go to Auto Zone, to purchase fuses, 2 hours later it was the trailer wire. After paying, refused and paying again, I was finally able to leave.GINO B.

The problem that I have with Uhaul in that city is that for this trip I scheduled my equipment (truck and auto transport) two weeks ahead of my move. I received a call two days before the move telling me that they would not have a auto transport available at the location on the day of my move and that they would have to move my reservation to another location. Then the person I spoke with moved the reservation to a location that was 40 minutes away from me. I asked if they could move the reservation to a location that is closer to where I lived and was told the only way they could do that is if I pick the truck up from one location and the auto transport from another. My plans changed to where I now had to make two trips to pick up the different pieces of equipment, and start two separate contracts for the trip. Also, the price went up by $200 dollars. I offered to move the truck to where the auto transport was located myself cause I didnt understand how the equipment that has wheels could not be moved to the same location so I could start just one contract. The people at the locations were great and helped me get on my way. I just do not understand why I had to pay more and spend more time trying to get on the road when the truck could of been taken to where the auto transport was located.Terrell B.
