The vehicle I booked was very very rough to drive, Suspension on the vehicle needs some serious maintenance, I would highly not recommend anyone to use this vehicle if they are transporting anything valuable.FRANCKY O.

I just wanted to say that we're a lot of negative reviews for this location, but I had a good experience. The location was right on my route. Easy to get in and out of and convenient.MARK S.
On the 6 x 12 trailers a hand crank lift at the tongue would be helpful I hurt my back trying to lift trailer on to towing ball and needed a person from the garage to help lift When I returned the trailer I brought a car jack to make things easierGILLES S.
Owner didn't wear a mask, was too lazy to type in my driver's license (wanted me to photograph and text/email it somewhere and was anger that I didn't have a smartphone), had to walk through a muddy field to get to the van that was filthy and had garbage in it, and then discovered on the highway when a car splashed me that the van had no windshield wiper fluid. I could go on, but I think you get the picture.Robert M.
The mobile pick-up did not seem to work with iOS even with all of my location services available. Thankfully, I had a friend helping me move that day who had an android phone and it worked then. Otherwise I would have been pretty screwed over on a cold windy day. Before trying my friend's android, I was in the phone queue with uhaul, no one answering on a Sunday.Courtney D.
The reason I would not recommend this location is because the owner is not enforcing Ottawa's mask regulations for his employees. The mechanics working in the garage allow the customers to be in the garage with them as I witnessed yesterday. Nobody, including the customer, was wearing a mask and they were all standing close together under her car. I mentioned this to the owner who told me he had made his employees sign a form that they would follow the regulations after being trained but he admitted he wasn't strict enough with them. In addition, the small piece of plexiglass between the owner and I at the counter was not enough to protect me from him when he was on the phone when I arrived to pick up the truck without his face shield on and when he walked from where he said he was eating lunch adjacent to the garage area, through the garage and into the reception area where he then put his face shield on.Brenda C.
The cargo van was FILTHY, I could write my name on the dust/dirt. There was a USED/DIRTY Mask in the van!!! The side mirror was broken. Really dissapointed.Jennifer H.

Truck was not at the location--had to go across st. to get it. It had broken glass and some type of liquid in it (trusted the guy when he said it was clean). Had to wait for owner to arrive at the location. then he helped other customers first even tho' we had reservation. Uhaul is not priority here. Avoid this place if you can.Carolyn S.
The pricing was way higher than I was quoted or expected. It would have been cheaper for me to rent a truck through Discount or Hertz. Probably won't rent again with UHaul for that very reason.Jacob S.

I have no issues with the U-haul location, I just would like to point out that the method of after hours drop off; texting to the link provided at this location is tricky (drop off is across the street in an extra lot). I didn't realize that questionnaire was going to ask for photos of the fuel gauge and odometer to be taken while using the link. I did take photos, but the link/service doesn't allow already taken photos; I only discovered this after I dropped off the key and couldn't get back into the vehicle I was using.CHARLOTTE M.
Owner would not complete the truck check in while we waited. Wouldnt confirm mileage or gas level or even look at the truck for return condition. Truck was left parked on the road. FInal truck closure documentation resulted in extra gas charge due to inaccurate fuel level shown on virtual documentation.TED G.

Very disappointed in your staff and service. First time we went into your location there were no trucks available yet they had about 15 sitting In the lot right beside. My grandfather(74) was told to GO HOME and order online! The ordering process online as long and very difficult. He went on the day scheduled to pick up our uhaul to find he had to drive across town to pick it up because they didn't have any. Even though we paid to reserve it. Once he got to that location the sales representative had no clue how to look up our reservation and made my grandfather fill out a whole new report. We never got all the supplies we had originally reserved. The truck they first tried to give him was a total wreck and ready to fall apart. Luckily my grandfather knew a thing or two about trucks and reasonable customer service! He went back into the building and got assigned a better truck however this truck was extremely dirty and had only a quarter of a tank left! He was told he had to go and fill it himself. And still return the truck with a full tank. No reimbursement for the previous gas he had to put in when it should have already been full! I am beyond disgusted by the service that was provided for my grandfather.Robert M.
I could not adjust the outside mirrors left-right. They worked fine up-down. Not a big deal, I'm just fussy about having my mirrors just so.Darryl M.
Worst experience ever !! Booked a 20 feet truck 2 months befor my move. I selected the location in carp which has a counter service to avoid having problems with picking up the keys as I had some negativ feedback on that process. The nightmare started at 8 am when I received a call from that office informing me that finally there is no 20 feet truck and I have to choose between a 15 and 26 !!! So I told them that I will take the 26...at 9h30 I arrived to the location to pick up then another surprise, the 26 truck was not starting and obviously the agent knew that.. after 45 min I have been sent to another location but there, collecting the keys is done online and it was again an awfull experience ...lost more than one hour in making calls to try to open the lock to collect the keys ..since it did not work, they send me to a third location which had a counter service..and there again another surprise they did not have furniture pads !! Lost 3.5 hours, had to sentback the helpers scheduled to help me for the move ... overall a very bad experience and your staff acting like it is a normal situation... !!!!Rachid M.
first i take a reservation in Aylmer, QuÃ©bec...change my destination to a place over 40 minutes away, change my location hours without telling me !! the trailer was in bad condition..one tie down strap was almost gone, brake fluid leak everywhere on my car.....i rent 4 trailer in the past month and can have a honest service...dont give me any discount for all the trouble ! very disapointed about the service this time !!!Mathieu H.

truck was very dirty , inside cab was dirty and not sanitized , back of truck inside was very dirty , complained to manager on robertson rd where i picked up the truck , and was told that they do not clean or sanitize the truck , and was told to take the truck as is or leave it , was rude , had to run to other end of town and pickup cleaning suplies and come back to clean inside of truck , real inconvinance , will never go to that location again on robertson rdDaryle R.
Check-in Clerk had trouble providing receipt and deposit return. Initially asked customer to drive vehicle to another parking location up the street. When I refused they did not pursue the matter. Would not recommend this location for service.COLINS W.

This has to do with the U-Haul website... it gave me the wrong Uhaul location for pickup. It also made me fill out the information for towing vehicle and vehicle to be towed on the auto trailer and it said everything was good yet when I picked up the trailer they would not rent to me with the vehicle I I was using as their system said it wasn't able to tow it. I said why did the website say it could? He said that I couldn't go by the website. What's the point in having this feature on your website? The trailer had a sticker on it saying the weight which was under my vehicle specifications for towing yet I still couldn't use my vehicle and had to borrow a vehicle.Corey L.
