Went to pick up my cargo van rental. Sign outside said to call when you arrive, due to COVID and wait for assistance remaining in your vehicle. I did. They forgot I was waiting for 1 hour. My Quoted price over the phone was 10cents lower per mile then what they made me pay. When I completed all paperwork, ready to receive the van, I walked way out into the lot alone with the keys and my paperwork to find that it was literally filthy! I drove up to the entry, and was told sometimes they â€œare just like thatâ€. The van was being rented for a wedding to move all of the brides personal items, I was so appalled, I insisted they wash the van, So they agreed, and 2-1/2 hours later I was on my way. What a pleasant way to start off your daughter's wedding weekend!TAMARA S.

Don't touch these guys for hitch installation. I drove 1400 miles from Houston to DC with an incorrectly wired, Uhaul installed trailer hitch and trailer - no brake lights, no running or tail lights. In winter weather. Should have checked it myself, took their word it was wired correctly. The one hour install job took the tech three plus hours. The Uhaul (unmasked!) repair guy in Louisiana threw up his hands and couldn't undo the wiring mess. Finally fixed it at drop off in DC - the Houston guy just screwed up. Worse, the same Houston tech broke my drivers side tail light(inside the trunk, where he apparently tried to pry it open during wiring -noted and photographed by two downstream Uhaul techs - see photo). $325 plus labor Honda dealer estimate to replace. Amazingly, Uhaul management decided it was all my fault (!?) and blew me off. They won't even pay for the breakage, even after I pointed out that if there was pre-existing damage (there wasn't) he would surely have noted it. Worse still, the original quote for the hitch was raised and raised again at checkout- until I complained and they adjusted somewhat. Ok I understand some adjustment, but this was over the top. UHaul corporate via customer service promised to make things right, but never called back as promised. When I finally called, they passed me off to file an insurance claim which went no where. Their customer service people are sweet, sympathetic and good listeners. But... are overruled by â€œmanagementâ€. They have a slick operation, except for safety orientation and customer orientation. Never had problems with Uhaul before. I'm talking 40 years. Give these guys a pass. If you must, triple check everything and be prepared to walk when they bait and switch your quote. If you're a safety oriented person like me, stay away.Steven T.
Truck was late and unsafe. Had to get a different truck. Ended up getting out of uhaul nearly two hours late. Still had to pay the movers for the time they waited. Contract contained incorrect information and employee said he couldn't fix it.jeff R.

We came on 2/5/2021. Got that before appointment time and had a hard time doing the contactless and verification. Kimberly was there and we tried to get assistance. We walked in was not greet with a smile but an eye roll attitude and smack of the lip when told what happened and what we needed to be done. Tried doing the it again because I needed to show her my driver license and explain that we have the paper copy from the DPS with renewal. She processed to say she closed and her computer was down. This was 15minutes before closing. Her customer service is horrible and an horrible representation of a person for UHAUL. The guy that was there dealing with the equipment and return of vehicle was very pleasant. He tried to assist with locating another location. Ms.Kimberly need to go back to training for Customer Service.CHERIS C.

IMPROVE YOUR INTER-COMPANY COMMUNICATIONS! There is a huge disconnect between the electronic process, the service reps in the store, the person at the counter and whoever is supposed to get the truck ready. It's like no one is reading that one piece of paper that has the customer request for a damn appliance dolly even though I asked for it on FOUR different occasions. Oh and don't get me started on getting wrong quotes on the prices. SMH. It's like I babysat all of you during this process.Jean G.
