I rented a trailer. Tech did not secure receiver to ball but indicated I was good to go after he attached the trailer. Receiver came off ball during trip to my home at approx 40 mph creating a significant scare. Suggest better quality checks before allowing customer to leave. Manager compensated the cost of rental which was appropriate.

I ordered a truck a week in advance my truck was not available the day of and I already paid the reservation I set. When I got to the place they could not satisfy the reservation and I had to pay again I was told I would get my money back it’s been 2 weeks and I have not received The 184.14 that was for a 26 foot truck I got moved to a 20 that was 145.00 the only dissatisfaction I have is I paid two times and have not received my fund from the original agreement

Not call me 3 days before my scheduled appointment, which was made 3 weeks in advance, and then tell me I have to get a slightly smaller truck than I wanted and I'd have to travel 12 miles to another city just to get it.

This is the 3rd time I've rented from this place and each time previously I returned my rental after hours using the key drop box without an issue but this time they charged me an extra day. Including an extra day's 10$ insurance fee. It was explained to me that I could do the late night key drop box without additional charge on my first visit and the 2nd went smoothly but this time my total fee was basically double because no one told me if your policy changed or basically whoever checked it in the next morning was a bit of a pisser. Last time I rent from you, enjoy the extra 30$ now cuz it's the last you'll get from me.

I made a reservation for 8 am it was verified so I hired some movers to help me pack my house I didn't get the truck till 3 pm for some reason they didn't have it ready I signed my contract and was charged 174 then the next day I looked at my account and was charged another 74 dollars that I never signed for which I'm still waiting to get ahold if someone from corporate Because I guess they are the only ones that can do refunds which is funny I guess anyone can charge on my card I don't even hafta be there but I have to call several different people to get it back this was the most fustrating ordeal ever and I'm still trying going threw it if anyone ever asks about uhaul o do I have a story for them I'm sure they won't use your company as I will never again. By the way it would have been nice for someone to tell me the truck I rented ceiling leaked to it's kinda important if u are leaving your stuff in overnight thanks for making my moving very stressful and costly I appreciate it

there was way too much scented products (trees) throughout the vehicle which caused an overwhelming odor. There was also white powder/stain? in the cargo bed

My reservation was for 2:30 and there were no trucks available until 3:30. That was the only downfall. I’d say leave an hour gap between rentals to avoid this. This was definitely not the UHaul company’s fault, though! The service and employees were excellent!

For a new Van It was disgusting I think it was used as a kennel . if it wasnt the last one i would have went to a another location . I had to get the van cleaned which barely helped and picked up 4 xtra strong air freshners ..I seen a notice on the van for a 25.00 cleaning fee that rental should have been free never again

I scheduled my reservation online and chose to check in via phone once I arrived for pick up. The same truck was reserved for myself and another individual (FIRST MISTAKE). Lady at the desk had to re-do my reservation and assign another truck to me after I spent 40 minutes checking in to my original reservation on the app and taking photos of damage that was not marked with an 'X'. Credit card machine to select additional coverage options was not functioning. Employee did not verify the details of my original reservation and charged me for damage coverage that I initially waived (SECOND MISTAKE). Called U Haul to fix it and issue a refund for the additional charges that were not approved by me. They gave me the run around and eventually the employee hung up the telephone in the middle of our conversation after suggesting that I chase down the general manager to resolve the issue (THIRD and FOURTH MISTAKE). Capital One is now handling this as a fraud transaction on my account.. :) Last time I use a U-Haul and will make sure that everyone I know hears about this horrible experience.

I was promised by the 800 number man (not location pickup) that I was getting a closed trailer. When I went to pick it up it was an open trailer. I was promised compensation for having to purchase tarps and tie downs and dealing with rain. I have yet to be compensated. The issue was not with pickup location but the 800 number individual. I repeatedly said closed trailer. You have a monopoly on rental trailers so there are no others that I know if who rent trailers. When I called the 800 number back to complain, he did not want to hear it and transferred me to the pickup location. Not happy. Bill Guilmette 508-496-6168.

I when to rent a trunk and the special I put was 2995 and I used to from 24 hours for that price . I when received email that they charged me 91 dollar extra for what that no the agreement

Outstanding customer service. It was efficient -- I was in a truck in five minutes -- but thorough, as the staff stepped through the process of returning if I didn't make it back by closing time. Literally, the best experience of renting I've ever had, and we've moved a *lot* of times :)

At first I didn't know price was for all day. I was ask is 4 hours enough and then given a price. When I found out that price was good for 24 hours was very upset cause I rushed for no reason. First called and spoke with a woman who was rude and didn't really care that I was misled then called back and spoke with a man that said no problem keep it til the next day. His name is is Mathew I think and he was amazing. He made my life easier and I felt I got my money's worth

The only problem is I rented a 20 ft U-Haul the other day which was a disaster but the price for that one way for 2 days was 140was supposed to be 120 but that’s another story for another time but anyway this was a 10 ft for almost 90 for one day one way now how do you figure ?

Equipment was not available - took over 2 and half hours to obtain equipment and I did not get the equipment that I reserved. The equipment that I reserved was on the lot but I was told that it was only for local and not one way rental. I had to drive from Fall River to New Bedford to get something to tow a vehicle AND I got stuck driving in Sunday evening beach traffic on the way home. I had to pay a laborer for this time (2.5 hours). I was promised that there would be an adjustment to the charges - there wasn't one. I received an email telling me that I had to drop off miles and miles from my house when there is a large U-Haul less than a mile from my house. I called and was told that I could return Tuesday - I returned Monday night and was billed for an extra day. I am livid and disgusted at this. I called and because there were no "notes in the system" the wonderful customer service rep, Debbie, could not make the promised adjustments. I was told it would take up to 3 days to even get a call back. this is the most horrid service ever.

This is more on UHaul than the folks in Fall River. The pre-registration is useless. The email claims I save 20-30 minutes if I pre-register before picking up the trailer...not so much. Still had to go through everything with the counter rep. Insurance, drop off location, license number, etc. She was not verifying, she was inputting all the information again. Other than that everything went fine.
