Terrible! In addition to the attendant complaining because I arrived a little early to pick up the car, it wasn't that well maintained! I traveled about 10KM longer than expected and was charged for the difference, so far so good, but as I filled up MANY more liters of gasoline, I asked if they could give me a discount on that amount and they said NO! And let me keep this loss! I would like to ask you to do the right thing, which is to deliver the vehicles with a full tank and demand them with a full tank! the personal service has deteriorated (I have been to this location many times) - yesterday 8:55 am for a 9 o'clock pick up : NOBODY at the counter for 25 min (sign > we are out parking cars > nobody out anywhere. Caused me to be late. No explanation of fees charged. you have to tell everything to the client so he do not find himself with a price he did not expected. that's very bad. Also your client service is very bad because you are not willing to solve the problems you are creatingdjussi P.
The location closed 15 minutes early, and we were notified of this less than one hour before the expected closing time. When we showed up to the location, two workers walked passed us and we asked them to help us and they replied with "sorry, we can't help you, we've clocked out for the day". This was 5 minutes to 7:00 PM. One of them followed up by calling out "you're just lucky we didn't cancel your reservation". We included a dolly and a dozen furniture covers with our order, neither of which were inside the truck, even though we set ourselves up for an online check-out. It took us 40 minutes in total to figure out how to unlock the lock box to get our key - this included navigating the app, calling the location's customer service, as well as the 1-800 number. It was a super stressful and unhelpful experience, and I would never recommend someone to rent from this location.Kris W.

My original order was changed from different location because the truck was not ready, so I came to this location and here as well I had to wait 30min for someone to return the truck. The reason i change to this location they said the truck is ready there which was not true. Also the fuel gauge was hard to match after as it was the middle of the reading so I had to over pay fuel. My reservation was supposed to start at 11:30am. I arrived around 11:45 and the truck was not at the location. One of the employees was outside with it. i had to wait until 11:54am for him to get back. He also brought it back with 1/4 of the tank full only. My overall experience at UHaul was very poor. I have reserved a 10' storage unit as a part of my month of free storage when reserving a UHaul truck at the Jean-Talon location in Montreal. I had ensured my reservation was confirmed about 2 months before the move. When I got to the location, they told me that the general UHaul team and the Jean-Talon UHaul team were not in contact, so the reservation was never made in their system. So instead of the storage unit I reserved, I had 2 options: A) take a much smaller unit with them (as that was all that was available) or B) go much further in Laval and put my stuff in their storage unit. The staff overall was very nice and the facilities were adequate, but this obviously was not what I wanted. Would not recommend this to a friend.Daniel S. | Overall Experience

the representative didn't know where to find my reservation details. I gave the reservation confirmation number and my contact number but waited 20 minutes for him to find the reservation. When he directed me to the storage unit, it was dirty with debris. It wasn't clean at all. The lock of the unit wasn't working. The key is not working. If I wasn't in a rush to leave town, I would look for another storage unit. Is it really safe to leave my bvelongings there? If you're driving any large vehicle, you have little to no room to maneuver. We spent more time just trying to get in/park/allow other cars going the opposite direction through in the tiny lot than the actual time inside. Reducing the number of vehicles in the lot or expanding further back might be the best course of action because while everything inside was great including the staff, the parking situation made it a less than stellar experience.Brian M. | First Impressions

Overall I got great service, easy access, convenient location, easy payment. I had a couple of issues, though. I was supposed to get a month for free but the system didn't seem set up to properly to do that, and I had to contact U-Haul to make sure I would get my free month (they did honor it though). I also wanted to end my contract a week earlier but their system was down and I didn't go in during the week because of lockdown restrictions and my own sleeping habits. Nous avons loué le local 2042 UHaul Jean-Talon O de sept. 2009 à nov. 2020. Le service a toujours été impeccable. Au cours des années, nous soulignons la courtoisie du personnel à notre égard, l'excellent travail de Mme Line Vaillant pour répondre à nos interrogations et ses suggestions pour régler le PEU de problèmes survenus au cours de ces 11 années. Le seul commentaire moins positif (et pour lequel il y a peu ou pas de solution) est le peu d'espace de stationnement pour les locataires aux heures d'achalandage. Même dans ces situations, le personnel a fait son possible pour nous aider, quitte à déplacer des camions UH. The first time I moved in, September 27, the guy who did my contract was actually rude. He shouted at me and my husband to enter « one at time ». My husband and I were together. I had to go in alone. The guy was impatient. When I went back to pay my renewal yesterday, October 26, there were two different guys quiet and friendly who did not shout « one at a time ».
