While I understand it was the first weekend of the month, and a very busy time for this location, the employees were rude. There was no reason to yell at me for parking in the wrong place; how was I to know that the stripes on the pavement were not for parking cars but for trucks. there was no signage that said "No Parking". This was by far the worst experience I have ever had at Uhaul. We waited 1 hour and 45 min to get a trailer. That wasn't the only problem. The staff at this store appeared to be intoxicated. While we were waiting to get hooked up to our trailer the store manager was trying to load a storage box onto another trailer and failed to put the forklift in park and fell off the forklift and almost got ran over. The forklift proceeded down hill, without the operator, and smashed into the box he was trying to load. This store needs a representative to observe these employees. This is outrageous tye way this store is operating. Please feel free to call me and I will explain further how bad this service at this store is.Geoffrey P.

The 3-star rating is to represent my experience was negative and positive. The location allowed me to make a few last moment extensions to my rental, at additional costs, as I was in a difficult situation of moving alone (though I think the extensions were granted mainly by U-Haul's call center). At the location itself, my experience had an unpleasant beginning (equipment pickup date being Sep 27th, 2021), due to the assistant general manager behaving in a difficult manner. (I did not get the assistant GM's name, other than she was female.) At first, the assistant GM was questioning about why I needed the truck for multiple days, when I would be drivng only around 6, or 7 miles. I asked why she needed to know, as it seemed intrusive to ask, to which she explained situations like this, "raise red flags," for the company. As I mentioned earlier, I was moving alone, and the circumstances made the situation end up this way. Questioning me of the issue had no purpose, as she ended up giving the truck to me anyway (I paid a starting price of at least $200 on the pickup day). After bringing the truck to my residence, and moving furniture into the truck, I discovered the padlock on the cargo door was faulty (it could be unlocked by pulling on it without using the key). After speaking with the general manager on the phone (did not know his name, just that he was a male), I drove (in my car) back to the U-Haul location, as the GM told me he would give me a new lock, without my having to bring the truck back with me. Upong arriving, I encountered the assistant GM, who was even less considerate than before. I explained I spoke with the main GM on the phone about the lock issue, and he would give one to me. After telling me I either needed to bring the truck back with me, so they could see what specific padlock was needed, or I would have to purchase a padlock, if I did not have it, she then asked me if I even needed a padlock at all. I told her it would be nice to be able to keep my things secure when I am not around the truck. The main GM stepped in to help, saying he spoke to me on the phone, and he could easily give me a padlock, which he did. Afterwards, I did not have to return to the U-Haul site until my rental period was complete. The main GM at this location was considerate and professional, being very easy to interact with. The assistant GM was both unpleasant and intrusive, as if she could care less about doing her job (being questioned about the padlock I found to be more infuriating than the truck pickup process). All of the experiences taking place at the U-Haul site itself occurred on the truck pickup day, Sep 27th.ADAM N.
The reason for the poor rating is because this location overcharged me for the second time. The employees get my keys and ask do i need to wait for the receipt i say know just email me only to find that they check me in an hour later and add a second rental charge. that is fraudulent and a horrible practice. I want a refund for the difference that was added to my bill as i stated in another email. This is absolutely unacceptableBECKI R.
As with all industries now a days there is lack of employees. Not holding it against those on duty the day in question but, I had to wait for over an hour for my reservation paperwork to be completed. The van was available but dirty, in the sense that there was a bag of chips that was tucked in the driver side visor that fell down when I used it. I'm not sure if it was properly cleaned. I couldn't upload pictures to the site when doing the online checkout after receivingmy paperwork. So I called to inform them of the difficulty experienced. Also to inform them that since it took over an hour to get the paperwork, I would have to return the truck past closing. It was never offered to me to extend out return time. Although it was recommended to do everything online I wanted to speak to a service agent because I WANTED my conversation to be recorded. I told the agent of the ongoing situation and of the technical difficulties encountered trying to use the website and she condescendingly told me that "you can do all that online, honey" ignoring my statement that I had just tried to do just that- but to no avail. This uhaul office is my go to for moving needs. But, the online help is really no help.MARY L.

This location was great. My only complaint is that when placing order, I asked if the truck had cruise control and was told "yes they all do". This was important to me since I was taking the truck 1300 miles. TRUCK DID NOT HAVE CRUISE CONTROL.THOMAS C.
Gosh! I know it's hard and lines are long- But watching a trainer lose it on a poorly prepared (not her fault! She was trying so hard!) trainee was uncomfortable. Also- maybe some signage that one needn't wait in line to return a vehicle would be great! And maybe the trainer could know people's names? He sent me out to find Jason, and the guy was James (possibly vicey versey). Anyhoo, this poor, kind fella had been addressed by the wrong name all day.JENNIFER ANNE S.

We returned the vehicle a quarter to 7, expecting normal check-in. After several minutes of waiting, someone finally just curtly told us to check in online. I get that it was near closing and so staff were busy, so some kind of signage with clear online check in instructions would be nice.NOELLE LEELING C.
Stop changing the location pick ups with limited advance notice. Explain that preferred location doesn't have the equipment requested better upfront and don't let it be an option. I was moved to 3 locations, and had to specifically call to say it was the wrong direction on the one they sent me 3 hours before I was to pick it up;. The person on the phone was nice and helpful, after I asked to change. This was after going live to two store locations that same morning. The Rainier location had their act together even though they seemed short staffed for the volume.CORINNA A.

The staff there was great. The girl that helped me was nice and quick, but this location is so short staffed. There were only 2 people at the desk and there was a line of at least 7 people waiting to be helped; took an hour to pick up and return the truck, each time. Also, when we went to pick up the truck, my girlfriend was waiting in the car in the parking lot, but was parked in the wrong spot. One of the guys scared her when he very rudely smacked the window and opened the door to talk to her. Smacking the window was already rude enough, but opening the car door without permission was going too far. He should be talked to.KHOA VAN N.
Your manager cussed me out he said and I quote â€œI don't give a god damb fuck what you needâ€ . The back story is I waited for 30 min for them to even see me at the counter because there was only one person on shift. Finally he hooked the trailer up and my lights weren't working on one side. So he proceeded to ripped the trailer off of my truck and when I asked him to wait so I could fix the problem he refused and just continue to take it off. Turns out his pigtail was faulty as well as a fuse in my truck. I've called U-Haul and reported the issue but I still have not received a callback Worst customer experience I've ever received in my lifeDON WAYNE M.
This location needs more employees. I waited for over an hour and that is way too long . The employees were very slow and lack training . And I only went 20 miles and the gas was 60 dollars . My truck was not efficient with gas at all. I would never rent from the location again .kamari A.

I had a reservation at 10am, already paid the night before online. It took 1 1/2 hours(!) standing in line before I finally got my truck. Only one poor guy checking people in, then finally some relief with a second person, who apparently was just starting that day. Then upon returning the truck, I drove to the designated place, and no one came to check me out, so I finally went online and followed the instructions for â€œreturn my truckâ€. I have rented here many, many times before to do quick dump runs, but not again until things improve.ALISON B.

The most important part of this rental was the attitude, helpfulness and service rendered by the person who got me in and out in just a few minutes. Good evening. I'm glad you asked. This is the last time I will be using Uhaul. I waited over an hour just to rent the truck. Then was told I had to drive it back to the original rental location, even though it would've been less wear n tear on the vehicle, & safer for everyone involved had I left it in the town that I was moving to, which is 25 miles away. I honestly think it's a ploy for you to gouge money out of the customer & force them to pay double the price. It's wrong & unethical, but bravo to you for scamming the struggling & unsuspecting masses. You gotta find ways to squeeze those extra dollars from your customers, & you pulled it off successfully. Your convoluted & insulting check-in process was insult to injury to an already long & stressful day. I think you guys used to be a good, reliable company, but you've fallen far from your glory days. I hope that someday you get your groove back, & soon. Not gonna hold my breath though. And I'm not waiting around to find out. I'll just hire a moving company next time. It takes WAY to long to check in and pick up equipment. Not staff's fault. Just excessive unnecessary paperwork. Major issue. Please expedite. If the truck contract states it has a quarter tank of gas and the truck ACTUALLY is below empty: that's a problem. Also, filthy interior. Also, gas fumes and exhaust smell creates nausea and dizziness. The staff was pretty much standard aka unhelpful. Inexperienced and trying to be helpful in some cases and downright lunatics in other cases. I know it's a chaotic time. But that equipment should not have been rented in that condition.MANDI ANN S.

LONG line to pickup truck. At least 8 people in front of us and within 15 min 8 behind!! Only 2 employees working. Was sent to this location from the location that I originally made my reservation online. Was told at both locations that I was called and told about the correct the location â€" I WAS NOT CALLED!! AND the truck was at a third location!!! UHAUL GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER!! I was told my credit card would be credited $50 for customer service issues. We will see, since my partners name was put on all the paperworkâ€" when it should've been mine!! My credit card, my address, my email address, my drivers license and I made the online reservation- he was an additional driver!!! BEWARE of making online reservation at UHAUL!!!Jay F.

I was told tank was at 3/4, but it was at 5/8. The milleage was also significantly off, but was able to update that. I turned in the truck said that when I took the picture of the mileage that I caught the fuel level in the picture as well and noted that the feul level was incorrect on the contract, and that I filled the tank back up to the level that it was at when I got the keys.. The associate said ok and I handed in the keys.ANDREW G.

I suppose your clerk at the front desk could have mentioned that upon returning the truck, where I should take it. In this case, I should have left it at the 'tent' with the green top with the keys left in it, and at that point, I could just leave. The person working on 9/18 was extremely rude to our movers - we could hear her losing her patience with them while they were on the phone with us over a mistake U-Haul made. She charged us for an empty container when we were looking to unload an existing container instead. While she gave the refund with no fuss, she condescendingly explained that this U-Haul location did not do U-Pod pickups on weekends, something that was never mentioned on the website when I planned my reservation. She explained that I "should've waited for a call" and "these things can happen if you reserve a few days in advance." When I said I had made my reservation nearly a month in advance and hadn't received a call nor was given an indication I needed to wait for one, she simply said that it "was in small print on the reservation screen." The U-Haul location in the town we moved from didn't call to confirm either so we had no reason to believe this was necessary. Because of their error, our movers had to instead bring our pod the next day, and thankfully they were flexible. This U-Haul location was rude to everyone involved. Our things arrived in one piece, but it's clear U-Haul's website is poorly designed, not built for changes, and doesn't provide critical information to employees.Jazmine B.

Renton was great, but my reservation for a 5x8 trailer at Lynnwood wasn't filled with no explanation and no help from UHaul customer reps. Staff at Lynnwood was rude and cold, they couldn't care less for my situation. Fortunately I had this backup reservation under my wife's name or else we would still be waiting to move across the country. Uhaul needs to better manage their reservations and fleet availability, this is unacceptable when families depend on your promises! I plan to leave many other reviews about this experience to warn others.Grant E.

There was only one employee working on Saturday morning which is probably one of the busiest business days and a line was throughout the building. The Uhaul computer system was also apparently not working so we couldn't purchase any of the boxes, moving straps, mattress protectors, and other items we needed. When we went to return the truck the night before our cutoff the Uhaul website was also not working properly and we could not get through to customer service. There were three other people in the parking lot having the same issues. The next day we attempted to call Uhaul three times to make sure they knew we dropped off the truck early since the system wasn't working and we were hung up on repeatedly. I will never use Uhaul again.RYAN C.
