They charged me wayyyyy to much. I went from Skyway to Capitol twice. They charged me over $320.00 I had no extras. I wanted to pay in a different card upon return. They charged my card for $100.00 and told me they couldnt charge me card again and needed cash. How weird. What if I didnt have cash? They called me to return the truck early; said they had a reservation for that truck. When I got there they had several trucks the same size. I made a reservation for a van. She told me I could only get a truck. Upon return of the truck it took aprox an hour. This was the worst rental experiment I have ever had. Shame!Eugene S.

The person that was in the yard did not look like an employee. He never acknowledged me. I went into the store and was told the guy in the yard would get around to helping me. I left the store. Waited in the cold 5 minutes and went back in the yard and asked to be helped NOW. The person that came out to help me had been in the store rearranging/stocking boxes. I was very disappointed with uhaul this time. 1. The location they first made for me for pickup didn't has any trailers. 2. I had to go to another location to get one. 3. The one I picked up i had to add air to the rear passenger tire every 3-5 hours of travel. I wasted allot of time, money and gas going from one location to another. PhilPhillip P.

The lady knew what she was doing. She kept asking the 2, 3 other people if they could do this or that and they all said no. So she had to do everything herself. Almost amazed that she didn't install the Hitch herself. The guy who backed up my car onto the rack scarred the shit out of me. He didn't know how to back up very well.Chris C.

This location is where it went all wrongâ€¦ rented a 15' truck and auto transport trailer. When I got there the woman behind the counter recommended I take the truck fill it up with my stuff and then come back for the trailer because they could not insure the trailer if I hooked it up myself and trying to load it with the trailer already attached would be difficult. Do not recall seeing any of that suggested or noted on their website. I reluctantly said, OK, I'll pick it up laterâ€¦ unfortunately, I was not able to make it back to U-Haul to pick up the trailer by their closing time because I pushed back my pick up time from 8 AM to 1 PM to accommodate their lack of truck and trailer availability.Paul O.

I went to pick it up the guy behind the counter argued that this was the fee and I was too tired and fed up to argue further. Then he said "let's hook you up" and then walked out into the back and didn't offer any explanation of where to go what to do. I wandered around the parking lot looking for him for a good 5 minutes then got in the U-Haul and drove around until I saw the trailers, backed up to one until he poped out, upset because I didn't see him pointing to the other trailer. When he asked me where I want to drop my trailer off I gave him my preferred location and asked him to update that for my truck drop off location as well. He said "sure". Sunday Drove to my destination and dropped off my trailer without an issue at my selected location, they were super friendly! Then I unloaded my truck and went to drop it off at that same location and then said no, this is not the proper location you need to drive 18 miles away. That's your drop off location. WTF! Once I dropped it off at that location they said "well you're over the 250 mile designation (and guess how manyâ€¦ 18 fricking miles!) and had to pay an extra $18 because of U-Haul's screwup. The way I look at it, because of all of U-Haul's, poor communication and screw ups, I wind up footing the bill.Paul O.

I was told by the national reservation person that the only trailer available was the large expensive one. When I arrived at the Rainier Avenue location, I was surprised to see the small trailers I had requested originally. This is the most rudely run franchise I've ever been to. Some people there are helpful and kind. Some of the people are just rude and not helpful at all. Couple of managers that just stand and stare. Charged me for 3 days because they lost the key after I returned the truck after hours. Also charged me for a key replacement without checking the security footage to verify that I returned the key. The per mile charge has more than doubled and I will consider this next time I have to rent something. $1.39/mile is OUTRAGEOUS. I was charged a cleaning fee that I don't feel is appropriate, as I returned the van clean, and without any trash or debris, but it may have needed to be swept or blown out in the cargo area - which happens to every van that gets returned. $25 for someone to sweep a van is ridiculous. I see that UHaul has figured out how to increase profits without providing a more valuable service than they once did. I understand that some items may cost more as time goes by, but a 230% increase to the mileage charge combined with a BS cleaning fee for a van that was DIRTY on the outside and had a door that didn't open or close properly is ridiculous. What I have come to rely on as a valuable and reliable service has turned into another "American" cash grab. Way to go, UHaul.Sennet C.

But I was told at check-in that "the computer makes the selection" of the vehicle - not me or the attendant. Water leaks at the front and rear of the storage unit and no heads up about the leaks so a ton of my belongings got wet, molded and ended with a significant loss. Notified manager about leak in front and brushed it off saying was from lifting the door when there was a clear hole in the front seal and the door doesn't fully close. How can my stuff be wet and moldy from lifting the door when I haven't been to the unit in months? Are the employees opening the door?
