10 minutes before we were to pick up our truck at the location indicated when we reserved it, we got a phone call telling us we had to go to a different location to pick up the truck and also we had to drop off the truck at that same location vs Kenmore - which is where we needed it to be dropped off. The rep I spoke to literally signed when I told her how much of an inconvenience this was for us. She could have cared less. Same with the General Manager at the Rainier Ave S store, Brion, he told us "call wherever you made the reservation and they will give you a $50 credit, there is nothing I can do" never once even looked at us. Never said I apologize for your inconvenience, nothing. The rep I spoke to about the credit, Marnie or Marty, was great. She credited us - she was the only positive piece to this whole experience. You did this to us before. Your c/s could care less - you make last minute changes causing major inconveniences and have no remorse for it.JEFFREY ALAN B.
U-Haul is doing great by us n a house renovation project. We're always picking up loads and dropping off things to get the job done. The Renton WA store has been terrific. They always have the right sized vehicle and their customer service is excellent. Recently we've used U-Haul for a house project we're working on. Their customer service and the quality of their vehicles is excellent. The company has made significant changes from several years ago. They have automated reservations which cuts the wait time. They are now able to serve customers quickly and their staff has a revolutionary new approach to customer service. Bravo, U-Haul. The Renton store has a great team.LISA ANN D.

1. I waited 30 minutes to receive service even though I checked in online and provided photos of my DL. Slow service set me back 45 minutes on a day I needed every moment. 2. I was given a truck with a gas tank only 1/4 full. Again, Uhaul waisted my time since I needed to stop for gas twice. Once at the beginning and once at the end. 3. The truck shattered a lot while driving without a load but just fine once it was loaded. In the future, I will look for other rental companies with better equipment. 4. The checkin process on my phone didn't work. I was getting server errors. I had not more time to waste that morning so this was an annoyance over doing the walk through with a person. 5. Not all the Uhaul employees were wearing masks. Shame on Uhaul management and employees for not maintaining a safe environment for the employees and customers.Ilan B.

As a first time user to U-Haul I was expecting a well used rundown van from the early 2000's. I test the van was modern comfortable and I could see above all other cars on the road. Made my 2+ hour trip to Aberdeen from Renton painless and enjoyable. Thanks U-HaulRACHELLE M.

The gentleman that helped me was very pleasant even though the store was very busy. All the staff were doing their best to keep a fast pace and getting thru the numerous customers. It was a Friday late afternoon and there seemed to be a little bit of a rush with customers picking up their equipment. I am needing to rent another trailer and will go back to this location!!MARK M.

I was not immediately made aware that the picture I took of the fuel gauge would increase the recorded amount of fuel in the tank on my contract, so I was surprised when I was told I owed a fuel charge or needed to fill up more than I already had.Tiffany B.
We can't think of anything you need to improve on. We found this to be the most efficient U-Haul location we have been to and we are frequent renters of a 5 foot by 9 foot trailer. It was clean, the people helped us connect it to the truck and they were right there when we returned it. This was our first visit to this location but it won't be our last.STEVEN L.

I am very upset because I told them I will return the van after the 5 hours and it will be tonight. The sales associate did not tell me there is a $20.00 after hour fee will be charge if you will not check out as per contract. The General Manager is not a nice person. Your website says the mileage charge is $1.19 per mile. We were charged $1.89 per mile. Be consistent and don't surprise people when the bill comes. Also, the check-in app didn't allow us to get the keys. Fortunately, the store was open. This doesn't reflect badly on the store.Mark V.

When a customer comes in and asks for a clear explanation of charges, before they rent the van, you had better give them a clear explanation. When a customer gets charged twice as much as they expected, they're likely never going to use Uhaul again. I just got charged $388 for a van rental that would have cost me $150 from Home Depot. When you rent a 9 foot trailer, please tell the person it is only 8 foot 8 inch. Otherwise they will drive to the destination and the pallet will not fit and they will have to drive back to U-Haul to return it... Only to be told they still have to pay for the unused trailerJOHN G.

I was in the store at 630 and my rental was due at 6pm but I had to do check out online. That's was bad business. The truck said it wasn't brought back at 1/4 tank and said it was 1/8. If an employee drives the truck around to park it, that runs mileage and I was charged extra. I would not recommend this Rainier avenue store to anyone!PHILLIP B.
Water leaks at the front and rear of the storage unit and no heads up about the leaks so a ton of my belongings got wet, molded and ended with a significant loss. Notified manager about leak in front and brushed it off saying was from lifting the door when there was a clear hole in the front seal and the door doesn't fully close. How can my stuff be wet and moldy from lifting the door when I haven't been to the unit in months? Are the employees opening the door? I would have stored my stuff longer but doesn't seem like U-Haul cares about paying customers personal belongings and obviously doesn't need my money so taking my business elsewhere.Dustin C. | Overall Experience

The fuel level was 1 millimeter below 1/4 tank and I returned it with the fuel gauge 2 millimeters above 1/4 tank but I was charged over $7 for gas. The final bill was a lot more than I expected to pay and final sale quotes from Budget ($147) and Penske ($155) for the exact distance and same service only show that Uhaul is a bit too expensive and will not get my business next time.MICHAEL L.

Stood in line for an hour to complete the rental due to staffing. Hourly movers standing around waiting on me to get back to load the truck. The truck had an 1/8th of a tank of gas, so I had to put more miles on the truck just to go put gas in it.The contract said bring it back with a 1/4 tank. I asked for an adjustment on return time to compensate for the wait time to rent it, counter person balked.I had the truck back early anyway. While this location is closest to me, the wait time to rent is always long - and though I have rented here many times, they ALWAYS have to re-input my information which also takes time. This info should be in the system. If you can e-mail me surveys and reservations, it must be in there. When you rent vehicles by the day or by the hour - and you pay by the mile for use- timing and readiness is important. Next round, I try a different rental.TONJA E.
