it was so stressful trying to pick up the uhaul that we reserved in advance. We were given the run around by all uhaul staff. I called to check if our trailer had come in day of moving @2pm. I was told they had one but I better get there now if we wanted it (mind you our reservation said 4 pick up). Or we would have to drive 20miles out of our way to pick up a different one. Awful experience all together I would not recommend uhaul or use them again.Eric B.

On the phone I asked for a breakdown of all the charges, but when I arrived, I was surprised with a another insurance charge. I waited 30min to pick up the van I reserved. They didn't warn me before hand that I would need to have a verbal confirmation for emergency contact. When we dropped of the van we waited another 30 min for help. We watched people who arrived after us get helped immediately. PLEASE TELL PEOPLE ABOUT THE SELF CHECK OUT OPTIONS. What a frustrating and expensive visit to UHAUL. Totally disappointed.Julia M.

Went to the store to arrange for a trailer, was told they didn't have any one-way trailers. After several minutes of questioning what was available for a one-way the gal finally looked and said they did have a 5X8 trailer she could let go on a one way. This interaction was time consuming and unnecessary, not what I expect from a company whose purpose is to rent moving equipment. They had a lot trailers at the store.Christian S.

I needed to drive 60 miles to pick up trailer, return home, another 60 miles. Load my car and deliver to the repair shop and return the trailer, another 60 miles and the home, you guessed it, another 60 miles. Total trip of 240 miles. It would be nice to have a closer Uhaul location.Robert B.

This whole situation was a complete mess. I will not be using this location ever again. The employees I did have an interaction with were rude and completely unprofessional. At the time of reserving it was somehow set as a round trip which is 8 hours. Upon picking it up I was told it was entered wrong and I should just call the number and everything would be taken care of. I did just the the next day after driving calls to find out the drop off location. The person on the phone told me I needed to return it in Lewiston which was 8 hours away and was not happening as the Moscow Uhaul knew it was a one way and messed up the paperwork. After going back and fourth for 30 mins, and being told I'd have to pay the difference of travel pay and I figured it wouldn't be that much so I wasn't worried stuff happens. Then, I got transferred to a Twin Falls Rep who was the most pleasant person I've talked to this entire time explained that if I wanted to drop it off in Twin Falls I would need to pay $430, which is absurd. She offered if I took it to Boise the fee would be taken care of, which I did that and drove it 2 hours back to Boise to avoid the fee. In the end of the employees were maybe somewhat nicer, willing to help and cared about their job the Moscow Location wouldn't be terrible..Dylan R.

I was told when I rented the trailer I could drop it off at any location. I got home unloaded and took it to the closest open office. They said thanks and sent me on my way. Then I got a bill for an extra $60.00 charge. Stating I didn't take it to the proper location. I expect the money taken from my account without my permission to be returned immediately.Roger R.

Jacob, the young man who checked the van out to us was outstanding. Very personable, friendly and informative. The manager, I believe his name is Matt, is very professional and very helpful. We rented a cargo van three times from UHaul in December/January. All rentals went fairly well, this last rental experience was the best of all thanks to Jacob and Matt.Richard B.

Honestly, this location is everything the phrase â€œit's fineâ€ stands for. The service is fine i guess, be prepared to wait no matter how busy, the location is fine- just don't get your hopes up about parking. Having to schedule 24 hrs in advance to accessing a unit you pay for is ridiculous, and then leaving it in a crowded and hardly accessible location is ridiculous. I didn't want to rip my hair out being there but I wouldnt recommend using them to anyone.Madison N.

How can I be sure that you are maintaining your equipment to the minimal legal standard when none of your employees can follow the mask order and wear a mask? Social distancing? That doesn't exist at the Moscow store. Please, explain to me how I can be sure that the employees who don't wear masks in the truck I am about to rent aren't spreading covid to me when I get in the truck right after them. The thin plexiglass hanging from the ceiling does not protect me from your anti mask employees when they are on the same side of the plexiglass as me. Gross. Too expensive. $19 sounds like a great deal until the customer is charged with ridiculous amounts of fees and pays over $60 for using less than 20 miles. That's a $40 difference and if you're going to market such a low price, then you should keep your rates low.Hector P.

Borderline harassing and threatening me with fees. A move is a stressful time for all parties, and it's not like I was keeping the truck because it made my driveway look nice. These people need to take a step back and chill. Will definitely not be recommending uhaul to anyone in the area.John W.

The staff were very friendly. However, I was incredibly frustrated with them calling me, less than 48 hours in advance, to tell me the equipment I requested was â€œno longer availableâ€. I had put a reservation in weeks in advance and was notified they would have to change my equipment last minute. They also scheduled me to pick up my equipment in two separate locations, making it so I had to find someone to assist me in transporting my vehicle with less than two days notice. When I arrived to pick up my updated equipment, I saw that they had 4 trucks available in the size I had requested. I felt this was incredibly disrespectful and inconsiderate of my time, money, and my putting in a request for specific equipment well in advance. I don't believe I will ever utilize Uhaul services in the future as I fear my equipment will be sold out from under me, as done in this situation, and I cannot rely on this company to follow through or provide reimbursement for the inconvenience I was caused.Victoria A.

The problem was not with the location, but with U-Haul's online, contact-free pickup. When I went to get the van, I had to fill out some info online that included two "emergency" contacts. I assumed that these people would be contacted if I was in an accident or disappeared or something, so I gave the info for my wife and my son. Both of them were contacted immediately, before I was given access to the van. This rather destroyed my attempt to keep secret the fact that I was renting a van to pick up a large (surprise) holiday gift. The online forms should make it clear that the people whose numbers are given will be contacted immediately. I've never had this occur with another car or truck rental, and I will not be using U-Haul again for this reason. Luckily, there are a number of other agencies near me that rent vans and trucks.Michael S.

Online, I reserved a 10x15 storage unit and received a confirmation notice for that specific size. The website noted that there was one 10x15 unit available and that is what I reserved (two days prior to rental). When I arrived at the UHaul facility in Moscow with a UHaul truck full of my household furnishings and after driving 300 miles that day (Boise to Moscow), the UHaul attendant informed that there were no units that size available in spite of my reservation. I asked what options existed and she told me I could either rent a 5x10 unit or go find another storage facility. I reiterated that I had a confirmation for the 10x15 unit and again asked what options existed as one 5x10 unit would not be sufficient. She repeated the same two options and offered no other solution. After letting her know that the 5x10 was 1/3 the size of a 10x15 and that it would not be large enough, I asked if there were possibly two 5x10 units available. She replied that there were but that they were not located close together. I asked if would be possible to rent both of the 5x10 units at the same price as the 10x15 since there is an inordinate price differential based on square footage. For example, the cost of a 10x15 unit is approximately $1 per square foot per month. The cost of a 5x10 unit is approximately $2 per square foot per month. She advised that she would request the modified cost for the units but that it could not be confirmed until Monday, June 15. I also said that I would need another lock, which she provided at no cost (which was very kind of her). I would like to say that she seemed hesitant about her ability to handle this situation and it was apparently hard for her to have to tell a customer that the unit that was confirmed was not available - a situation she should not have been put in by the company. Knowing that she was not responsible for UHaul's lack of integrity in honoring a confirmed reservation, I thanked her for her help. She was very pleasant but did not seem to be able to think of helpful solutions until prompted with ideas that I generated. I would like to thank her for helping me and I feel bad that she was put in that situation by her employer, but I would have also liked for the solutions to have been presented by the company making the error. Since the final rental cost will not be approved until Monday, June 15, I would also like to request that the two 5x10 units that I ended up renting be charged at the monthly rate of $1 per square foot (equivalent to the cost of the 10x15 unit) which would be approximately $100 per month, rather than the rate of the 10x15 unit, since I am only getting 100 square feet of storage space instead of 150 square feet. Please let me know if this reduced monthly rate will be honored due to the error made by UHaul. Thank you so much for your consideration of this request. I arrived at the U-haul in Moscow Idaho in the cold of winter. Contrasted by the rigors of the harsh weather and misery of moving where helpful U-haul attendants. Sure there are always those in line ahead of you with a rant about this or that, but these people are the real deal. They treated me very fair, courteous and even when I was a bit short - went the extra mile! I thought to bring them a little something to show my appreciation, but the COVID19 has got me thinking otherwise. The least I can do is leave a stellar review to showcase how nice these folks are to do business with. Thanks for a pleasant move in the worst of conditions.
