The customer service at this location is terrible. I tried contacting them through phone because I had some confusion. I'm not sure if she was the general manager or the staff but I was telling her about my issue and she abruptly put me on hold without telling anything about it. I waited almost 10 minutes but didn't get anyone to talk to. I had to bike all the way to the location to talk with the store clerk.Rohan S.

I purchased the tow safety insurance and had a tire blow. Didn't realize it till I made it to my destination. Then towed it to the store. The attendant came off immediately aggressive saying that I was negligent and should have called roadside assistance. I said I didn't know that was an option. She said it's on the contract. I said I read the contract. There was nothing about roadside assistance on a single piece of paper that was my â€œcontractâ€. When I called the insurance company that represents U-Haul they said there's a number at the bottom of the paper that says if you have any questionsâ€¦ call. I'm sorry but seriously for a major corporation to come off, aggressive and not work with me at allâ€¦I will never be using U-Haul again, and I will tell everyone to try to find other means and that's the truth!!Roxanne H.

When I arrived I was informed the whole system went down and she didn't have access to my reservation. She was short with me and I tried to be gracious because I imagine she was under a lot of stress. She has to redo my whole reservation and it took almost an hour from when I got there.leah H.

Brittany and Spencer are amazing at this location. But maybe the location that I sent them from (Duwamish) can go get retrained... EVERYONE there. Because wow. I am so unhappy with how that side of it went.

During times of increased numbers of people moving (2nd week of May-graduation time in a college town), have more employees in the store (4 minimum, preferably 5) to handle the increased customer traffic. Have the sign for where the line starts be more obvious (front of store with arrows pointing to the line formation). Customers just walking into the store, cutting in line ahead of other customers that have waited for a long time is a significant problem.earl B.

The person who helped me was short with me and not interested in helping me. I didn't appreciate their attitude. Not friendly whatsoever. The facility was dirty and there was some kid riding around on a scooter around the units unsupervised, and the kid had a code to get into the units I watched them enter it and leave the storage area. The location is excellent. But the corporate "skip the line" concept is a joke. I've rented 10+ trucks from UHaul in last 26 months. Every single time I have to go inside and get in line... To get the key. And local staff have no idea what is going on. If there were other options here, I would use them just because of corporate.John W.
I saw the man from the couple that was in front of me steal 10 large boxes and when I told the manager, she gave me a very nasty attitude. And when I accidentally left a binder of important papers in the truck, they claim they weren't there - they were my drs appts , claim #s from my recent traumatic brain injury, all of the info from my mother in a nursing home in Michigan that I do not have anywhere else. I have used Uhaul for 40 years and will never go back after the lack of help I got!Michelle B.

I don't expect above-and-beyond customer service for such a simple transaction but the employees made it a pretty poor experience. The lady I spoke with was very short with me and my son on the phone when we didn't get it back exactly on time. I told her I would have it back in a couple hours which she stated was okay but then they still charged me $57 for an extra day when I got there. They were rude and didn't care if I was upset or not. If I had of known that I would not have rushed it back!! They didn't need it until the next day. I will not go back there ever!!! Equipment clean and ready to roll. Staff friendly and helpful. Although I've had problems with other uhaul locations fudging on fuel gauge accuracy, that was not the case in Moscow. I now know to always take a picture of the gauge at pickup to be sure I don't get billed for fuel I didn't use.Joel F.

The representative who helped us was very organized, courteous and professional. Many vehicles were being returned at the same time and he facilitated us all very well. There was another person who came by to pick up someone who was dropping a truck off and they were very very rude and disrespectful. The rep only responded courteously and with respect. No communication when it was going to be picked up. It took three tries to get it picked up. I gave them the apartment managers number to call when they were coming to pick it up and still no phone call was made to let her know they were on their way. Price gouging at its finest. I was shocked when I got home and received an email notifying me that I was charged $15 cleaning fee. I had to sweep it before I could load my stuff in and checked twice to ensure it was clean when I took it back. Awful service. They didn't bother to put in my reservation even though I did it in person the night before. Rented a truck had to go find it on the lot myself, no inspection of the vehicle before I took possession. Our original reservation was pick up in Lewiston and to drop off near Oldtown, ID. We chose to drop off in Spokane instead, about 60 miles from out address, and we're given 50 extra miles for it and saved money so the extra time and gas was worth it. Then there was a sudden change to pick up in Moscow, ID because they apparently have absolutely no 20 ft Uhauls in all of Lewiston or Clarkston so they needed us to drive another 30+ miles out of the way. Then when we called to make sure we would be charged extra we were assured we had been given more miles and we had 250+ miles for the whole trip. Then when we dropped off we had to pay another $100+ for additional miles. Now our receipt from pick up says we had 118 miles and an extra 50 and I would have never made a reservation for a truck with not even enough miles covered to get home. So many changes were made, and when my husband called he got awful service and the lady wouldn't give him the time of day to explain what happened. Worst experience, lousy communication and absolutely an unreliable and unreasonable way to treat people.Patrick K.
Extremely poor customer service. Service was slow and payment option are not transparent. Employee lacked computer knowledge on how to finish my transaction. They were also smug when I politely asked what kind of tires were on the truck since it had snowed that morning, I just wanted to know so I can be safe. They put my UBox in a further destination than necessary. They added 40 miles from my moving location knowing I was picking it up myself. Britney the GM is one of the least friendly individuals I have dealt with. She gave me an appointment time, confirmed the date the day before, then tried to cancel day of delivery. She then was clearly rude and told me how she had to rearrange other deliveries to deliver my box 8 hours later than agreed upon. I arrived on site and the storage unit I had reserved online was not available. Therefore, I had to quickly arrange alternate storage add another location well my movers waited on the clock for me to get a storage unit to unload into. Your failure to notify me that the storage unit was not available resulted in extra gas, extra mileage to be paid for, and an extra $140 in labor costs for my movers. I was angry because I was called on June 30th & told they did not have the cargo van I reserved for my move. I had to change the reservation to June 31, 2022 & on that day I had NO one to help with my move. The manager was friendly & seemed exhausted & overwhelmed. He gave free one month storage & even accepted my van return 5 minutes before the facility closed....which I didn't expect him to do. UBoxes blocked my indoor access door for days and were next moved into the indoor loading area. This made moving my stored stuff more challenging. This was a case of what I consider false advertising. First, I was lead to believe that my storage unit was secured when I made the reservation for my Uhaul truck. I later came to find out that it was not secured, that there were no available units and that I needed to keep calling until one opened up. After many calls One finally opened up and I reserved it. Second, I came to then find out that this facility does not honor the "first month of storage free" as advertised on the Uhaul website. The clerk at the Moscow, ID store acknowledged this was a problem as many customers expect the first month free and are upset when they find out this is not the case. Because storage units are hard to come by I went ahead and paid the $189 for the first months rent. I could never discuss the matter with Brittany the manager as she was never at the store when I stopped in and I got tired of waiting on hold on the Uhaul 800 number. Third, the unit was not climate controlled as advertised. All of the climate controlled units were apparently full. I reserved the unit , paid in full and it sat empty for a month while I searched and waited for a climate controlled unit. One finally came open, I canceled my unit with Uhaul and moved my belongings into another facility. Based on the false advertising : no units available, no climate controlled units available and no first month free as advertised I would like a full refund of my $189. As mentioned, the interior of the storage facility was well maintained. I believe however that the staff should be careful to keep the entrance to the storage clear always so that people can drive through. Many times this has not happened. Online, I reserved a 10x15 storage unit and received a confirmation notice for that specific size. The website noted that there was one 10x15 unit available and that is what I reserved (two days prior to rental). When I arrived at the UHaul facility in Moscow with a UHaul truck full of my household furnishings and after driving 300 miles that day (Boise to Moscow), the UHaul attendant informed that there were no units that size available in spite of my reservation. I asked what options existed and she told me I could either rent a 5x10 unit or go find another storage facility. I reiterated that I had a confirmation for the 10x15 unit and again asked what options existed as one 5x10 unit would not be sufficient. She repeated the same two options and offered no other solution. After letting her know that the 5x10 was 1/3 the size of a 10x15 and that it would not be large enough, I asked if there were possibly two 5x10 units available. She replied that there were but that they were not located close together. I asked if would be possible to rent both of the 5x10 units at the same price as the 10x15 since there is an inordinate price differential based on square footage. For example, the cost of a 10x15 unit is approximately $1 per square foot per month. The cost of a 5x10 unit is approximately $2 per square foot per month. She advised that she would request the modified cost for the units but that it could not be confirmed until Monday, June 15. I also said that I would need another lock, which she provided at no cost (which was very kind of her). I would like to say that she seemed hesitant about her ability to handle this situation and it was apparently hard for her to have to tell a customer that the unit that was confirmed was not available - a situation she should not have been put in by the company. Knowing that she was not responsible for UHaul's lack of integrity in honoring a confirmed reservation, I thanked her for her help. She was very pleasant but did not seem to be able to think of helpful solutions until prompted with ideas that I generated. I would like to thank her for helping me and I feel bad that she was put in that situation by her employer, but I would have also liked for the solutions to have been presented by the company making the error. Since the final rental cost will not be approved until Monday, June 15, I would also like to request that the two 5x10 units that I ended up renting be charged at the monthly rate of $1 per square foot (equivalent to the cost of the 10x15 unit) which would be approximately $100 per month, rather than the rate of the 10x15 unit, since I am only getting 100 square feet of storage space instead of 150 square feet. Please let me know if this reduced monthly rate will be honored due to the error made by UHaul. Thank you so much for your consideration of this request. I arrived at the U-haul in Moscow Idaho in the cold of winter. Contrasted by the rigors of the harsh weather and misery of moving where helpful U-haul attendants. Sure there are always those in line ahead of you with a rant about this or that, but these people are the real deal. They treated me very fair, courteous and even when I was a bit short - went the extra mile! I thought to bring them a little something to show my appreciation, but the COVID19 has got me thinking otherwise.
