I agreed on the website reservation for $30 I went to pick it up and they said they want $150 deposit that will deduct only $40 when I come back I came back and they took $56 from the 150 deposit and I filled it with gas for another five dollars I took the fucking U-Haul for one hour and I paid $60

I was transfered to the location on kingsway and 113st, the Happy Mart and was treated very rudley as when i was on my way to pick up the trailer i was informed that the cost went up by $100 more than i was sent the contract for. When i questioned that i was told to go back to the 155 st location. I would never suggest anyone go to that location. Nor would I encourage you to keep that location as part of your franchise.

My day started really bad because the other uHaul location didn't keep their promise. I was re routed to this location. Self check out was not working so the staff kindly checked me in without asking for a fee. Return was so smooth. The staff here are really nice!

The drop off location I was given on the website, and which was confirmed by a phone call with U-Haul before my move, was actually not in operation. After my household move from out-of-town, there was a snowstorm happening when I had to drop off the truck. Getting to the no-longer-open location, having to call two different U-Haul phone numbers (including being on hold for about ten minutes), then getting to another drop off location was a “rigamarole” I did not appreciate, especially during very inclement weather (though I don't mean to say U-Haul was responsible for the bad weather; it was a case of bad timing). Since resolving the drop off confusion took time I was apparently considered late dropping the truck off and I was charged an extra day's rental. I am currently attempting to get that additional charge dropped but the matter is not yet resolved.

Maybe use better tires? Or put a spare on the trailer. I blew to tires one I didn't have service and was lucky I was close to a small town when the one blew. Other then that great service! Roadside was there not long after I called u haul. Friendly folks.

Time to retire that truck. 172,000 miles; sloppy steering; weak brakes; mushy suspension; signal lights won't self cancel; just plain worn out. The gas gauge indicated the truck was full when I picked it up - the truck was NOT in fact full. I put 34.4 miles on the truck. It took 25.46 litres to fill the tank and when I returned it the gas gauge displayed exactly the same reading as it did when I picked it up. You rep would not give me ANY credit for the excess gas I put in the truck. If that truck does,in fact, get me money 5 miles per gallon, you really should just light it on fire. Won't be renting anything from you again. Really poor performance!

The lady that helped us pickup was really good. Having to check out the vehicle on our cell phone was pretty bad service. Dropping it off was even worse. No help, no paperwork and didn't even know what the final bill was until it was emailed to us.

Online booking was not good because I got a confirmation that was at a completely different time and location than I chose. I phoned and had that fixed. At pickup, our choice was not available but staff remedies that with another choice. Pick up and drop off staff were all excellent, friendly, efficient and helpful. I would use uHaul again anytime I need such a vehicle.

I need to figure out the uhaul app for self checkout. I had problems with the location finder. But the checkout with your staff went well.

Hunter Jackson was the staff behind the counter the morning I picked up the trailer. He was quite arrogant about my not having a cell that could up load my drivers license & was very put out about having to put on a glove to take it to do so himself. Did not care about his attitude or his treatment of me. I had stopped into this location to chat with staff about my rental & the process, etc. They were all most helpful & assured that all would be done with no issues. They would do all they could to help. Should I need another rental, I would make sure that Hunter was not at the counter at the time of pick up.

The gas gauge was at 3/4 tank. I only drove 13 miles, so not much gas was used. I put in $10 and fuel level was more than what I started out with and they wouldn't credit me for the overage. I shouldn't have put in any gas and they wouldn't have noticed. Hard lesson learned.

Very long wait to be helped initially, only 1 person and 5 people in line. Upon being helped was told to go to tent to pickup trailer. Got to tent and waited 15 minutes, no one came to help. Had to go back in and ask for help again, then the guy called someone and prompted him to come help. Still took 5 minutes for guy to show up. Dropping off experience was lacklustre, same issue where there was no one there to help check in trailer. Took 15 minutes for a guy to come and help. Made me wait for someone else who arrived after me, to pick up a new trailer rental. Contract was not submitted when I left, no proof it was checked in when it was supposed to have been so I just had to rely on the person doing it to properly do their jobs. Do not recommend this location.

Customer service is poor, told before booking can help load up vehicle on auto trailer, but waiting 1 hour, ask customer service ,said have to wait other customer finished then pay to change contact. I have to driving 1000km that day, but for trailer total spent 90 minutes

Was given under 1/4 of fuel. Truck was dirty inside. There was crushed pot in center console. Front window was dirty, was very hard to see. i have rented from u-haul many times and have never given 1/4 of fuel. Staff should have looked at front window. If they check inside of truck they would have seen pot in console.

The female representative you had there stated that we could only have the truck until 6:45 a.m. because there were reservations on it, but yet when we dropped it off the gentleman told us there was no reservations on it and we could have taken it again but we would have had to pay the price we paid the day before again. So he said we could keep it but by that time we didn't have any help to move more. We were up until midnight moving the night before. When we were coming back Google took us out of the way hence why we got to talk to someone at the branch when we dropped it off at 7 a.m.

All of the staff at the west end location were friendly helpful and gave excellent customer service. I couldn't lift the dolly's that we rented they loaded them into the vehicle for me, we ended up not needing to use them. The staff also unloaded them for me. It was a welcome experience as after dealing with the location at 11335 Kingsway avenue I was not wanting to deal with Uhaul again. If all of your employees were like your west end location your company would be perfect. I hope you give the employees at the West location the recognition they deserve, in my opinion they are the best workers in their positions, especially in these times.

Why are so many people upset at top notch service? These people spend hundreds of thousands of dollars just so you can show up and demand a $50,000 vehicle to move your stuff and then complaint you had to wait 20 minutes? Get your head out of your A&T. I showed up on time. I returned on time. I paid the price I was told I was to pay. So what is your problem? You cannot do math? Ok they do it for you. The day I returned my rental the company had a return where the renter had I dead body in it. Your are seriously going to complain about your 15 minute delay? STFU! Please grow up.

Although there was some weathering to the outershell of the trailer and only one market light out, hitch equipment, door/latch and tires were in great shape. Staff were in a good mood and great to deal with. Although I didn't get my original pickup location, this is the second time I've had this location and they have always been great.

i booked a 10" truck and a dolly to be picked up at 8am in the morning at one location and they said that they didnt have a what i wanted and booked me with different location. When i got there they werent even open and no trucks of any size. i called head office and they were kind enough the to connect me wth the location on 154 111 ave. The only thing is that i booked a dolly and never got one. I called head office again and they took it off my bill.

have a complete check list of accessories, for instance I could have a couple of bracing bars to prevent load from shifting, but was unaware until after I had obtained truck. Have the representative review when booking.

Why aren't all of your employees wearing masks? Don't they legally have to wear masks indoors? We are in a pandemic, that's so irresponsible and shows lack of respect for others. Also only one employee seemed to be working when I was there. The overweight, maskless female sat on the computer making phone calls the entire time when there were numerous customers waiting that she kept trying to avoid looking at. Uhaul is a frustrating environment where it feels like your employees hate their jobs and customers are always waiting or having issues. I've never had good customer service at any uhaul location, it seems like an unhealthy environment. I just use uhaul once every few years if I have to move and that's enough for me

With only 2 employees working on a Saturday, I had to stand in line twice. Lineups were really long. You might want to increase staff to 3 for weekends.

The facility was a mess, elevator barely worked. Garbage thrown around both outside and inside the building. The outer bay door that’s supposed to make the facility secure was not only but broken! And then there was a homeless guy camping out inside one of the units down a few lockers from my unit! And the unit hours were limited to business hours due to lack of maintenance and two of the employees weren’t wearing masks on the premises!

I booked a ground floor storage unit two weeks in advance, I called the night before to confirm, showed up day of to be told it wasn’t available!!!! I then called the U-Haul office to wait on hold for thirty min, and then even though I was polite and nice to the CCR Taylor she hung up on me. I really don’t understand how you can run a company like this, and this will be the last time I ever use your company for any of my moving and storage needs. Based on your appalling service I will be undertaking a social media campaign to ensure everyone knows about the joke U-Haul actually is, and that they have their staff lie right ti the face of their customers!

Only problem on the day when we were moving out was, that we were waiting for 30 min, even though I checked in the day before. The main door was closed so we had to take out our stuff through the side door, which was tough but we survived. There was no courtesy dollies at all, and usually some were there, so we had to get one from the other storage building. Other than this, everything was ok.

The front desk staff were very polite and accommodating despite the office being very busy. They were able to answer all of my questions and provide me with equipment I required at no extra cost. The staff even provided some suggestions about how to strategically park the truck so that it would be easier to unload in the storage bay. The return of the truck was so easy and seamless, I had to clarify a couple times if there was anything else that needed to be done and it was already taken care of!

I left question 5 unanswered because no the facility could have been cleaned more often: washroom ,garbage,can with paper towels over flowing, toilet paper missing: however after I spoke to one of the fellow attendants , he saaid that people just take the roll with them- I'm aware that the human mind leaves much to be desired! you are off the hook on that one. Come prepared! Garbage at main doors left for days. I was at the facility U-Haul fairly often. Lots of garbage out in front of the truck rental check area- I even picked up some of the broken plastic totes. I would say room for improvement. simply assign someone to do a check every evening - would solve the problem. All in all, as indicated.liked the bright lights and warm temp. during winter. see you again. Arno

-always had trouble with the monthly payments, was locked out of storage locker monthly which was very inconvenient. Every error was on the side of uhaul -the area where the unloading zone for the storage lockers were was always totally covered in ice. Looks like it was barely salted or cared for -when I urgently needed access to my storage locker and was locked out, the following day I tried to call to sort it out at around 6pm, still an hour left of operating. Called the store the entire hour and NO ONE could answer. Just want to the call centre -seems like no one cares about their work here, unmotivated, not caring? Not sure but it was never a super pleasant experience.

The alarm would go off every 5 minutes for no reason. The alarm was deafening and extremely annoying. A staff member parked infornt of a loading bay and scoffed when I asked for them it. Very rude.

Access to my unit was bad, since there’s only one way to drive in and it was often blocked. Hours were somewhat limited. Online updates seldom work worked. Good access to dollies. Key cards work well
