Lisa Jones is the one who waited on me and she was so professional and well knowledgeable about her job.

My experience with U-Haul overall during this particular rental has soured me so greatly to the company that I will never use it again. I would rather buy a trailer and sell it after use than rent from U-Haul again. It is beyond words and astounding the depths of ineptitude and hours of aggravation I had to endure for what should've been a simple rental.
A customer in the store was being very rude and racist towards while I was there. I was waiting on my money that I had left after using the u-haul another customer came in and called me out my name but I was asked to leave and stand in the cold to wait on my service I will never be back!
Truck was old. Cabin was dirty. Cup holders had crumbs of some sort. Two ashtrays behind the seats obviously used. Smelled of smoke. Steering wheel was sticky.
There is always room for improvement but I wouldn't change a thing God Bless you Uhaul & Happy 2021
The drop off location in Cincinnati did not have us sign anything before we left. We returned two bags of unused pads, and piled up the used ones. We used movers to move us in so we had little contact with the inside of the truck. It was also my first time moving myself so I had my rental agreement to go by. We asked the man we dropped the truck off with if we needed to do anything else, he looked inside the back of the uhaul and said no. An hour later I got hit with an $80 dollar cleaning fee for not folding the pads and leaving some packing materials in the back. First of all it is nowhere in the contract that you have to fold pads. We also were told we would get reimbursed for any unused pads when we picked up the truck. That didn't happen. The problem here is that when we dropped offf the truck and they told us they would take care of it—no one mentioned an 80 dollar cleaning fee otherwise we would have tossed the packing materials and folded a few pads. I will never use uhaul again. And currently am trying to fight this outrageous “cleaning feeâ€. I would warn against this company 1000 percent. I will never give them my business again. Especially after spending close to $2000 to rent the truck. Talk about nickel and diming you.
This was not my reservation. My email was attached to the reservation somehow. I do not know these folks that reserved it, but UHaul sent me all of their personal reservation information.
Mark from 2320 Gilbert Ave location was very helpful when I told him about the battery in my U-haul not working and I need to extend my moving hours. He understood my needs.
Having been to less than stellar U-haul facilities in the past, I was pleasantly surprised at how nice the location was. Service was good and was in and out in a short period of time.
Keeping up with customers by showing them you care
Very rude staff. I was originally quoted $16.47 for a one day motorcycle trailer rental. Then it be became $26.48. I returned the trailer an hour later..... The next day they called asking where the trailer was.( Before checking the parking lot where they told me to) after I told them to look outside... They said "oh ok, sorry".... 20 minutes later I had a bank alert saying that U-haul has taken another $47.63 from my checking account. I called them out for trying to steal from me and they said a refund had been issued. That was 6 days ago and have not been refunded anything.

Horrible the guy named Major was a very rude person I explained to him about my uhaul truck getting towed due to an emergency with the vehicle and he was a complete idiot

Truck bed was not clear
The inside of the U-Haul was filthy, and had lots of dead cockroaches on the floor. I can tell it was from the previous users. But it would've been nice if it had been cleaned.
During the initial contact for the rental, everything and everyone was extremely nice and helpful. We had to keep the truck for a few extra days as a result of finding help to unload it and the really nice guy at the counter called and explained to me the process of returning after hours if needed. Very nice gesture. When I returned the truck....The guy in the orange hat snapped at me and barked out orders that I needed to get back in the truck and move it under the canopy. Very unprofessional. He had no reason to speak to me in that tone and body language. I moved the truck under the canopy and as I was walking away, he was in another truck blowing the horn and screaming at me. I left and I will never visit that location again as long as that employee who was checking the trucks in on Tuesday Dec 2 at around 4:30PM, is working there. He also barked orders at the guy who was picking me up as well as another gentleman who was returning his truck. Your staff must treat people nice! Even though all other aspects went extremely well, its this one incident that will cause me to never return to your facility.
Have bill closed out upon return of vehicle. Customer should know actual charge before leaving lot if office is open. Agent who processed rental Lisa was very professional and thorough and Pleasant.
The 8x10 unit with unlimited access was exactly what I needed to bridge the time gap between my expired lease on rented house and the construction completion of my new home.
Terrific drop-off/return experience! The team was helpful, courteous, and timely!
Tried the mobile app for my check in. Since it wouldn't work, I had to wait in line over 20 minutes only to find out they did not have a truck for my reservation. I was not notified beforehand. I had to drive an additional hour out of my way to another location to pick up a truck. It was a nightmare and messed up my entire moving day.
I'm disabled and even with on line check in I had to wait 30 mins in line very inconvenient. I reserved a truck at one location then at the last min they called me said they don't have a truck and sent me 14 miles out of my way 😡
All my experiences with Uhaul over last few weeks have been fantastic!

One of the worst experience in my life. The check in process was terrible. I spent 45 minutes trying to check out because I needed to provide 3 different forms of identity verification and had to wait for the varying alternate contacts to answer and verify my identity. I ordered a dolly which I also didn't get, which made moving terrible as I have lower back pains. The drop off process was terrible. The wait time was ridiculous, I witnessed three people dealing with mismanaged reservations, and the terrible customer service during each instance. The absolute worst part was when I parked, the parking bar/stopper had a 3 inch bolt sticking out exposed that completely shredded the skid plate and front frame of my car. I was terribly frustrated but remained calm and spoke to the service agent inside and after explaining the situation she expressed no concern whatsoever simply stating that I was parked in “Truck Parkingâ€. I thanked her for the time and went outside to find that the spots were NOT LABLED!! Cars were parked everywhere and so we're the trucks, terribly managed location. The whole process end to end was shockingly disappointing.

I want to commend you for you employ of Lisa Jones. She has excellent customer service skills and was so helpful both the morning when I picked up my truck and that evening when I returned the vehicle. I want you to be aware of what a tremendous asset she is to U-Haul. If there are any promotions or raises being considered, Lisa Jones deserves both. I truly appreciate excellent customer service and will recommend your location to anyone and everyone I can.
Tried to return truck on website ,couldn't get in to website, sat in lot for a half hour trying, went back the next day because they added $20 for not checking in the truck on the site ,18oo number not working allso, manager couldn't figure it out ,its a joke trying to return truck after hours will be going back on Monday, paper work states if u can't get thru on line to go back on the the next day and still got the run around, they know the site is shady
When I picked up the truck the person who checked me in was knowledgeable and courteous. However the truck was filthy. There was dirt/dry mud on the inside handle and steering wheel. We're in the middle of a pandemic. There's no way anything is being sanitized if there's caked on dirt! I had to spend 30 minutes with damp paper towels and then a can of Lysol just to be able to use the truck. Fine I guess I had cleaning supplies with me because I knew after moving to Ohio a few weeks ago the one thing the people here do is EGLECT everything from their homes to their cleaning duties. However when I returned the truck on the same day, the person sitting behind the desk ( who another employee told me was named mark, had no mask on, was talking to another person who had no mask on. There was other people in the store with no mask on and the store was packed. I waited until mark looked for a key for 15 minutes had to ask the other employee working there what to do and how to do it, then told the person he was dealing with he couldn't help her because someone else started her rental agreement and didn't have it pulled up in his screen (who also by the way didn't have a mask on and not one employee told any of these people they needed a mask. But how could they when your own employees don't wear masks (Mark) then when he looked at me with no one else behind me in line I said “yes I would like to return my truck, it's parked in the return area and the keys are in it†he said ok , just leave it there and you're free to go. I asked him how much the total would be charged to the card because the mileage hadn't been counted and I was still responsible for the hand truck that was in the back of the pick up, he said to me “ you'll be charged whatever you get charged!†ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME?'!?!?! This lazy person didn't want to get out of his chair and so his job and leave me liable for anything they deemed fit! I told him that was unacceptable and I wanted a final total and for the equipment to be checked in before I left. He got mad and yelled FINE, I'LL CHECK YOU OUT MYSELF!†Like he was mad that he had to do the job he was getting paid to do. I seriously couldn't believe it. I was made to feel like an inconvenience and a bother for using your company. And the whole time he's not even wearing a mask. In my opinion anyone not wearing a mask should be fired and anyone not wearing a mask should be refused service. Ohio has one only the highest daily positive covid numbers in the country right now and it's growing every day. The state is breaking its previous record of positive tests each day that passes and this lazy , no good , time clock money stealing jerk is refusing to wear a mask and refusing to do his job and making me feel like I'm bothering him. I have used uhaul every time I needed to rent a truck. I just spent $1400.00 last month and another $45.00 2 days ago. I will never use uhaul again because of the one person Mark. If the other employee lied to me and that's not his name just contact me and I'll give you the exact time I was there. But he is about 50 with all white hair and a beard and way overweight. I will never use uhaul again because you're endangering the public and are lazy.

I did not consent to an insurance plan and it was added anyways. Will be calling soon for a refund. They need to go over the details of contract before you pay.

The woman who set up my reservation was excellent and should be paid more for her exceptional professionalism and kindness.
Charged for missing pads and dolly even though we never received nor requested either items to begin with.
Phone/app pick-up was a good way to limit contact for COVID exposure, but having to go inside and wait in line to pick up the key negated this.
This was a smooth professional transition.I would recommendn U-Haul.

Checking in at the Gilbert Ave location and getting a storage unit (for free no less) was seamless. Lisa who assisted me is a gem! She was professional, funny, and just a delight to work with. Thank you again.
Truck needs a alignment,tune up they shouldn't of never let anyone drive that truck like that

A little hard to figure out how to drop off the trailer. Truck dropoff was obvious, but less so for trailers

I was not notified about the terms of the one month of free storage. There must be more transparency about this policy such as when the cancellation must be submitted to prevent a charge for the subsequent month of storage.
Lisa was so helpful. She really knows her stuff and explained things so well. Love her!!!!
We had a space that was unlit so hard to see inside. Used for three months and when we moved out, our stuff had mouse poop all over it.
Everyone was friendly and helpful but the experince was not as easy as renting the truck. We were assigned a unit and then moved the truck. We waited one hour for our turn at the elevator. The first unit we were assigned was to small so we had to switch units. This was our mistake due to ignorance of what we really needed. The staff was very accomdating. The next unit required a different elevator. There was no wait this time but it was not on the ground floor so the staff had to come out and lower it. They were were happy to do that for us. The unit we were assigned was already rented so we had to go back and get another unit. Once again, the staff was pleasnt andaccomodating. The third unit was available, dry and clean. So it worked out in the end. However what we thought would be a 30 minute unload and store turned into a 3 hour comedy of errors. The elevators were the biggest hassel. Through it the staff was very pleasant and helpful.

When Lisa took over as manager things changed for the positive. She's a gem. also kudos to Daman (sp) who helped so much on the move out.
When I originally rented my storage suit I reserved a truck and storage unit. Truck rental went smoothly until I showed up to my storage unit a half hr before close to get my things set up and was turned away because “I have to be there 45 minutes ahead” even though the website says after hrs access. I then was charged an extra day rental and extra miles for my truck. I started a dispute and was never contacted back, every time I called in the person I needed to speak to was “out of town”. Not happy with my service received.

Overall the customer service at this store was horrible. The facility was clean but not very well maintained. This creates conflict with it's customers in my opinion.

Gm was unprofessional, I was talked to like I wasn’t a paying client, my clothes was molding, smelly, bug( roaches was in my unit that I paid 205 a month. Very,very upset . That’s why I moved .

You care about money. Not people. I will never recommend uhaul for anyone: and will actually discourage them from using it here.
Once again it took over an hour to access our storage unit. Every other employee seemed to not know what to do, while those who did were overworked and scrambling.
It was incredibly easy to move things in and out! The hours are difficult if you work monday-Friday but the manager, Nathan, is THE GREATEST.

I found that this Facility is grossly understaffed, with only 2 people having to enter & log, get the vehicle & check/take customer to look at the storage component if looking to use this option.
NEVER AGAIN!!! THESE PPL WILL STEAL YOUR MONEY IF CARD ON FILE,LIKE THEY STOLEN FROM ME SEVERAL TIMES.DONT USE UNLESS YOU LOOKING TO BE "STOLEN" FROM. THIEVES......

My items were stored in this facility for 6 years completely untouched and practically dust free. All of my items looked as if I moved in yesterday. Far exceeded my expectations!
Horrible experience. It took over an hour to find an available unit. I had to walk around with them to speed up the process to find a unit... a lot more issues that i'm not listing too.

Nathan Smith did an excellent job resolving an issue we had with some boxes we had delivered from out-of-state. He runs the Gilbert Avenue store with great skill and talent.

I had a month of free storage and they kept telling me I couldn't put my stuff in my unit unless I left the unit open they then scrapped my belongings and auctioned off the rest and tried to charge me
I was 700 miles away and kept trying to call. The corporate call center was not so pleasant. But the men at the storage facility on location in Cincinnati were very helpful and very pleasant.
Everything was satisfactory or better.
I do not understand how it is my driver's license ended up from Cincinnati Ohio to somewhere down in Alabama all 17 different accounts or why you all will allow something like this to happen
This was my first experience with storage facilities and hopefully my last. The whole process of me closing my account/unit was horrendous. It took months for me to get an answer on abandonment.
So much went horrible that this doesn’t even allow enough space for me to put it all but to some it up. I called corporate and got transcripts of the conversation so that I can take this further.
Hi I actually rented from NORTHSIDE? - the gentleman who helped me Monday was AWESOME - I came in 5 minutes til close + felt so bad about it - but I was desperate for a truck + he helped me big time!

I reserved a 5x7x7 storage space when I arrived I was told that the storage space was 2 blocks away and not in the main building, I had to pay more money per month for another space. Not happy.
moved out of my storage a chair was forgotten I called customer service someone was suppose to call me back after looking no one called I drove there and got an “oh well “ attitude from the employee.

Great facility and crazy friendly people. They have dollies and carts for you to use for free and I was able to stay a little past closing once without any issues. Will use this location again
The Call Center could use some training
Lights in hallways were not always on. No lighting in units.
We arrived with our truckload of stuff before the office was closed only to be told they didn’t have keys for our unit. Then when we moved out they didn’t record it and continued to bill us.
The times I accessed the storage unit there were issues with the operation of the door. Likely these have been fixed. Personnel were efficient and helpful. Parking lot small
The storage facility is pretty well maintained and taken care of. However, the hallways are narrow after the first floor, which makes sharing the space difficult at times.

Very, very poorly managed facility. I received late notices every single month even though we have automatic payment. The manager is never available and can never be reached.
Everything was well-maintained and the staff was very professional.
Over a weekend we moved to a new apt; Mon. returned to put a few things in storage that didn't fit but Uhaul had their lock on it ready for someone else. They didn't contact us to confirm.... beware!
Gary was incredibly helpful for a first time mover and u-haul user. He and his staff were easily accessible and always willing to answer the smallest questions. Could not have made this move easier!
