This is the second Uhaul truck I've rented in the last 7 months that had an engine warning light come on during my drive, but the workers assured me that it was fine, just not quite working right sensor. It was very worrisome during the drives.SUSAN C.

Tire pressure was low in the dolly. One tire was at 45 psi, while the other side was at 30 psi. It was not verified prior attaching to the car. The attachment was loose on the ball and the personnel did not know how to tighten it. Except that the assistant was very friendly and with positive attitude. I rented a 26' truck. The service online and in person was fantastic. The people were great and very helpful. I used the after hours online return and it was wonerfull. The truck worked, but it was old and beat up and water got in when it rained.SHAUN F.
The two people behind the desk were rude with very short answers and the equipment was bad. I got my truck and 3 different waring lights on the dash was lite up. So they gave me a different truck and took it home the next morning I had to jump it. The battery died And it was raining and there was a leak in the back of the truck and my stuff got wet. I just feel like, when asked for them to work with me on my storage it didn't happen. I explained to them that I was going through a difficult time and that I just ask for a little more time. When calling them to see if they could work with me to catch up on it. I always got told something different from different people, all the way up until I lost it. I lost everything in that storage. This week I had 2 deaths in my family & in the middle of moving. This was my experience with the Uhaul owner on Fountain St. The owner was rude and racist, basically informed myself the paying customer that I was less important then his trash & would have to wait 20-30 minutes for service while he ran the trash out. Of course already having the ability to charge customers card, he proceeded to talk trash as he took trash out & left me (who had important Dr appt. & funeral service to attend,waiting 25 minutes for service. Told me that's just how it was going to be & that I was rude for not wanting to be less important than the trash, good bye, & hoped i didn't return. WOW, his employees had better manners & customer service. A horrible horrible person. I will be reporting to BBB. Thanks for your compassion & pitiful customer service. I'm going to pray for you. The truck was faulty the cover on the steering column was falling it off. The buttons for the lights were pushed in and I couldn't get the headlights to come on causing severe delay in me vacating this location, I missed time from work and even though I put in a request for roadside assistance none was given. The tires on the truck were so bald it delayed my moving and got me charged extra. Had to wait on tow to get unstuck because the back tires were in grass and wouldn't grip to move out which was more I had to pay for. Tried to extend it and they told me I couldn't online. While loading the leftover stuff that didn't fit into the 1 way rental, that staff went into my storage unit and told me that I could not put certain things into the unit which was very concerning to me. He was rude & said I should have reviewed the contract but if certain things weren't allowed I would have that they would have asked or even mentioned it. When I called to reserve I was not informed that I needed a 2â€ ball hitch or need a special plug, was early to pick up but went all over to take off old ball but in the end had to purchase the ball and hitch and the special plug. Had trouble with electric so person at uhaul sent us to Kent, Ohio said mechanic was a good at finding the problems, ask him to call to make sure he was there but he said he's there all the time, of course he was gone for the day so we had to go to Tire Maxand it cost me an additional $80.25 ,so a trip that should havecost$150. Ended up costing over $275.00 without purchasing gas. It was also suppose to be about an 9 hour day turned into a 12 to 15 hour day. Service was very poor my book. Problem not going to use uhaul again and will be telling friends and family not to use.Katherine M.

Do not have people wait so long to get their truck checked in when returning. There are plenty of monitors by the counter to look up and see people are waiting and probably have things to do. Nobody wants to go wait in a long line to have an employee follow them out to check in a vehicle after waiting in a long line to get the vehicle in the first place.Neal B.
The truck I used was unsafe for the road the drivers side window jump track when I tried to seal it the window was so lose it could of fell out on the highway the suspension is totally trashed and the truck was making noise in wheels. I love the mobile pick up and drop off option; I first uaed this feature a few years ago in Wooster, OH. What I didn't like was when I pulled up 3hrs early (return not due til 7 or 730) to the designated drop spot I was startled by the female employee. I greeted her with a warm hello, but it was not returned; not even a smile. I had notified I was not ready and needed to pull my car up to truck due to having a heavy item and me having a medical support boot on left foot (my car was about 4 car lengths away). When I pulled up beside the truck she was already in the cab of truck with my belongings inside; including confidential personal and/or professional (medical, legal, HIPAA) documents, work items and laptop. She kept asking for the key to the truck, I replied I told you I wasn't ready; meanwhile a potential customer walked up and asked if I was the worker I said and nd point to the wom in the truck. The worker appeared annoyed that I needed her to move so that I could retrieve items from behind the driver's seat. I then began to look for my phone to see my next step for the check in process and she is continuing to ask for the key. I explained to her had she not interrupted me getting out, getting me flustered and spiking my anxiety I would be able answer her question, but first I need my phone. She continued to sit in the truck appearing annoyed and not helping the gentleman. I also stated although she interrupted me that I was glas she was being thorough and the person who inspected the truck in before I got it should learn that because I found water and soda bottles behind the seat; had I not needed to put my laptop baxk there I never would have seen it and could have been responsible; her reply was "is that right?" Finally I retrieved all of my belongings, found my phone with the key. Then she was doing her process on mobile device checking miles and fuel. She then rudely stated about it not being on the 1/2; it was slightly before it. I explained the line at gas station was too long I didn't have time to wait due to needing to be somewhere at 5pm and that I've rented uhaul trucks many times and known that it will charge my card accordingly. As I started walking away she gave me the total I would be charged. I said thank you, got in my car, and left. The worst interaction I've ever had with someone that works for or is affiliated in any capacity with U-Haul.Danielle O.

The truck was full of grease on the floors and walls of the truck. we were slipping in it. Someone could have gotten hurt! Also we had to cover the entire floor so not to damage our newly cleaned furniture. we were lucky it didn't smell like petroleum.
