Title: Unacceptable Condition of U-Haul Van - Refund Requested I recently rented a van from U-Haul and was extremely disappointed with the condition of the vehicle. Upon picking up the van, I was greeted with a filthy interior. The floor was covered in dirt, and candy wrappers were scattered throughout. Shockingly, there were even bits of marijuana in the cup holders. Additionally, the van reeked of smoke, making the driving experience very unpleasant. This level of uncleanliness is not only unacceptable but also raises serious concerns about the maintenance and hygiene standards of U-Haul vehicles. I expected a clean and well-maintained van for my rental. Instead, I received a vehicle that was clearly not inspected or cleaned prior to my use. Given the unacceptable state of the van, I am requesting a full refund. It is imperative that U-Haul addresses these cleanliness issues immediately to prevent future customers from having a similar experience.Gary I.

My trailer broke down with the wheels locking up and a tire went flat. I called roadside assistance. They sent someone to fix the flat and ignored the entire "locked up". Anyways, after it wasn't resolved, U-Haul sent a second tow truck who loaded it and took it to Akron for some reason for repairs. Now, this location charged me $190.24 for dropping it off at the wrong location.Gary B.

Miscommunication on schedule, no one showed up until 7:15 am and she had no clue about the computer.The gentleman who was supposed to be there thought he was closing but did show up around 730.VERY STRESSFUL because of time and I gave myself extra time and I just made my appointment because I was 45 minutes later than I thought . The desk staff was very friendly and helpful. There were two 26 feet trucks on the lot. The first truck given to us had a check engine light on. Fortunately, we were able to switch to the second truck which was satisfactory. It was a challenge getting to the place due to road closes. The only available entrance was the back gate.Ricky W.

When I received the uhaul truck, the back of the truck was dirty, and the gas tank was on empty. The manager needs to follow through on their promise to put out better signage and directions. There was no notice or indication that the entrance at the address provided was closed due to the road being torn up. We had to circle the block several times trying to figure out where to go until we noticed the generic "Business Entrance" sign provided by ODOT. It did not tell us that the U-Haul location was through there. I tried calling to ask for better directions and was immediately put on hold. Notice needs to be given when someone drops off from out of town if the whole road is torn up!Sean P.

The service I received was excellent, my hitch was installed in a timely manner and the technician was courteous and answered all my questions. However, finding the location of the u-haul address was challenging due to the road being closed and GPS kept rerouting me for a 1/2 hour. The Fountain Ave entrance was blocked off due to the construction and the road was all torn up.Amanda B.
The sign said wait until someone comes to you during normal hours, I did and nobody came-I went inside after 10 minutes. I traveled 135 miles and put 13 gallons of gas in taking the gauge to 3/4 and I still was charged for 4 more gallons.Martin W.

I arrived on time to pick up the trailer. The manager was washing a van and told me to go wait inside until he finished. About 15 minutes later he came inside. The rental process went quickly. Just as we finished, another customer came in. I was told to go wait outside until he finished dealing with this customer. That took another 5-10 minutes. The manager may have felt like he was being efficient with his time, but it made me feel that my business wasn't important. I had rented the trailer for 6 hours and I had already wasted 1/2 hour by the time I left.William H.

I will never rent from this location again my credit card was charged 177.00 I picked the truck up may5 2023 at 2.35pm I returned the truck may 5 2023 at 8.00pm the truck was clean the gas tank was on half when I picked it up, I returned it on half, they charged me for gas also a 25.00 clean up fee & all these other bogus charges I called uhaul got customer service informed them what was going on. When calling them to see if they could work with me to catch up on it. I always got told something different from different people, all the way up until I lost it. I lost everything in that storage. The staff is just plain not very friendly. There’s just no way around it. From set up with the storage unit, stopping in to be by boxes and other supplies, to finally closing out the unit when I was done. They’re just not the slightest bit friendly. Not greeted when I walk up, no “thank you”, and simply nothing but the bare minimum in any interaction. It fascinated me every time just how unfriendly they were. I wrote a pretty scathing google review of this place recently. I’ll defer to that. Staff that won’t greet customers. I went in there yesterday and the office was empty of employees for ten whole minutes. Probably the worst customer service I’ve ever had. Was told like a week ago that mold on my stuff I’d had in storage for a year was my problem. Offered no assistance. Told me to call RepWest and the employee didn’t even know what it was.
