I reserved the U-Haul truck and dolly. When I arrived the dolly was not in the bed of the truck. I submitted it so when checking out the truck. I also submitted it was missing when I returned as I rented it and was charged for it. I disputed the total and asked for a rep to contact me. NO ONE CONTACTED ME, and now TWO WEEKS LATER I'm being charged the full amount without a refund. Unbelievable.JENNIFER H.

They service was wonderful and the truck was clean and had a full tank of gas. The low pressure tire light was on. They did not hesitate to take care of this and immediately checked all 4 tires and filled them accordingly. They then apologized for any inconvenience! Small slip up with the reservation itself, they put it under my mothers name instead of mine. So when I came in for the truck, they claimed there was no reservation. I rented a 20 foot box truck, very reasonable 39.95a day plus mileage, I put a total of 8 miles on it and was told by the very rude employee that I had to go put 4 gallons of gas in it I feel that is totally unacceptable I'm quite sure truck gets better than 2mpg .what a scamMICHAEL S.

Our reservation #26449567 at the Parma store fell through---arrived at 8 am for pick up, but no truck. Called us at 2:30 pm to say they had a truck in North Olmsted. Nevermind! We had to scramble to find another truck; fortunately Tallmadge not only had the truck but Danielle was a rock star! Give her a raise!Jeremy L.

This is not where we picked up from, it's where we dropped off. Your system is a mess. There were miscommunication and poor resource management both in Hazel Dell, WA and in Tallmadge, OH. Train employees before they interact with customers. My biggest issues, not all of them: - At Hazel Dell location in Vancouver, WA, Preston advised we could load the pod without one of the 3 stabilizers. False and unsafe, had to go back and find the Manager and get a replacement against Preston's advise. Employees making up answers when they are untrained is BAD. - Neither location knew how to use their system, Hazel Dell tried to tell us we didn't need to sign a contract 3 times before we finally got the manager in the warehouse to call up to the office to confirm with them we needed to sign before hooking up the trailer. In Tallmadge, they informed us Hazel Dell shouldn't have approved our vehicle (2016 Outback) for hauling the pod for loading and when we confirmed an alternate truck and set a pickup appointment they didn't record it, so never got our pod out. Then the manager snidely told me I never made the appointment. Only to apologize later that she wasn't told the appointment was confirmed with a new vehicle Which is fine, if you're polite. Don't snarl at people who were just told another branch of your same business could have destroyed our transmission.Faye P.

Absolute worse customer service i have ever had. One sales associate seemed to be sedated and the other had very poor interpersonal skill set. I will NOT return to this store ever again. When returned truck i was told i had to wait up to 25 min for him to look over the truck and get me a receipt. Then after waiting, i finally asked to have it emailed. after getting home i had to call and ask for it to be emailed again almost two hours later. Because when I returned truck the lazy person who should of done a proper check in just said do you have the key? Duh, of course I have a key and that was the extent except for me telling him I put gas in it, and I could not pull it up properly because there was a car parked in the equipment return lane! To find out later I was charged an additional $18 for gas when I had put 2 gallons in it after driving maybe 16 miles. Check in was good and truck was fine. But I will never ever recommend or use this location again. I have used other locations and check in somebody came out check the mileage check the gas. This location is not good. Will not recommend!!!!!!!! I am not happy and will be contacting someone to report this to. And also tell everyone not to use this location!!joyce B.

Where to start... As a manager for 25 years and a trainer I was in shock, disgusted, and just plain ticked off. Let me start with the story: Uhaul txted me offering a free 10 foot trailer. I didn't need it. I asked "Are you just needing it in Ohio?" They said "yes". I said "since I have driven large vehicle my entire life that I would take it up there if you take $50 off the truck." They txted "yes". I get to 555 South Ave Tallmadge and the woman and her trainee didn't not have the $50 off. I said "nope, fix it." They got the manager. It went down hill from here. This angry woman named Dannielle Hileman came storming in, rushed to me, stopped with arms on hips, looked at me sideways with an angry squinted eye face and said "they told you What?!" Now generally this is where a manger, a trained quality manager, would said hello, welcome, how can I help, I hear we have a mix up. No, she is mad, defensive, and short the entire time. I tell her I'm not mad, to please calm down. She jumps up on the stack of unfolded boxes and sits down with a huff like a teenager that was told she can't go to the party. To make this story short (too late) I got no where with her. She got even more angry, a bearded fella come in from the garage just to watch, she said its not her problem, that uhaul would never make that arrangement (I'm a liar), and tossed the receipt to me. Also, she inadvertently trained 3 staff members that its ok to treat a customer like this. My father in law was in there with me. He's a chatterbox, loved by the community, plays drums in a 60s style band, member of everything. I'm sorry for the talk he will be doing to his friends about uhaul. He's a laid back guy, but even he was astounded at her behavior. He brought up that Dannielle is nearly a liability. Writing on here is my outlet for the worst, unprofessional, stressful experience in a company that I have had in at least 10 years. Thought you should know. Loved the location (old Kmart), lots of stock, wide open space. You just have worthless angry spiteful staff that is going to travel thought the Akron area grapevine like the plague.Mark M.

Let me pick up where I schedule my pick up. I realize that you gave me extra miles, but I wanted to pick up closer to where I was moving from. My pickup of the trailer took about 35 minutes. The woman working for UHaul did a great job handling multiple customers at once, but she needs help. She was the only one working on a Saturday morning which I believe would be a busy time of the week, and it was. She was friendly, knowledgeable, and she even ran through the parking lot to hook up the trailer for me.Scott L.

Not well lit, not enough signage or information about rules. I used the unit 3 times to bring furniture in and out and used side doors closet to my unit not bay doors. I was there for 2-3 hours each time with commercial moving companies. No one ever said I could not use the side doors that were unlocked with no signage. When I was ready to move out completely the doors were pad locked. I asked why. The manager accused me of breaking into unlocked doors and putting units at risk. She yelled at me and was completely rude. Customer service is poor and slow . Your location should take responsibility for lack or locking your own doors , putting up signs that say emergency exit only or signs that say specific doors can not be used. I am not a thief and do not appreciate the service I received and will never use Uhaul again.Michelle E. | Overall Experience
