I was told via chat that I could park my car on the lot, but it turned out I couldn't. The location was far for me, so inconvenient to get to. Would like something closer to the downtown. The staff in store were good, though the customers ahead of me in line weren't wearing masks and no one told them to put one on -- they got served maskless. It wasn't clear either where I was to park the van afterwards, and I put the key in a lockbox and then was told that was all wrong, that I should have brought the van, not wear I picked it up, but in front of the bldg. I've book a Van afterhours to pick it with on-line pickup . Sure i started on-line process to pick a van posting my wife's drivers license and my picture as I was picking the van and in the end of the process i got no authorization to pick the car and order was canceled . No reps on-line or over the phone could fix the issue after 2 hours of waiting and conversation . all my plans were ruined , great system .Inga B.
My storage unit was slanted. I didnt receive the full 5x5x8 because of this. You should do a walk through with the customer when they rent the unit. I wasnt loading it until after hours and didnt take a look at the unit until then. Since I loaded after hours there was nothing I could do, no staff to contact. The gas gage on my van seemed fault. From turning on the key in uhaul lot, the level dropped an entire knotch about 1/2 kilometer away...Apart from that,all went well although staff's attitude was very corporate...Jeremy M.

The storage unit was clean and big enough for my stuff to be stowed comfortably. The whole of storage building is clean, well lit and inviting. The front desk staff service was a bit slow when we first went to rent the storage when even we were just about 4 to 5 people in line. Apart from that staff were very helpful and professional. there were customers moving out blocking the docks and the driveway which made our moving out delayed over an hour. Your office employees did not deal with those rude customers and let them park their truck in the driveway anyway. They were also using all the building moving equipment and hoarding the elevator for themselves. You need to put up instruction rules on the use of the facility and not allow people like to act this way. We pay movers by the hour and this was a waste of my time and money. If you fine those rude customers they will stop acting this way but ignoring this behaviour will make you lose customers like me.ALIA A. | Overall Experience

I did online check-in and it took 15 minutes to get the car because of where it was parked. There was a parked u-haul vehicle in front of it and the space between the two vehicles was just wide enough to get my car through. It was difficult and a bit stressful.Sergey M.

Better front serving employees, more employees at the store, train employees on accessibility access and how to help those with disabilities, have a separate lane for elders and those with disabilities, have seating available especially those with disabilities and elders to access, have a vending machine so that customers can get something quick to drink/eat, have forklifts and forklifts driver available for customers to put away their things inside units. No more false advertisements on reservations of units that when you show up there are not there. District manager is amazing. I had major issues with the location, but I am happy that he will make sure things get better. Thank you the regional manager for making it less stressful when I was last there.Amina H.

I was disappointed with how the location treated me. It might be Uhaul general approach as this was my first time renting from Uhaul. The van was not prepared, I was just given a key and told to go find and pick it up my self in the parking lot. It was difficult bringing out the van from the parking lot and when I said I needed assitance, I was told to go find someone in the parking or back area to help me. My equipment wasn't ready and again was just pointed to were the Dolly's are and just told to pick up myself. The representative even forgot I had bought boxes and had to come back and pick up myself. Very disappointing.Adel S.
Customer service is extremely slow. It's difficult when you have only one representative and someone has a complex issue, leading to 30-45 minute waits for other people requiring simple tasks. Would be beneficial if others working could. Reserved vehicle online for 9 AM pickup on Saturday 18 sep 2021. Arrived on site at 9:05 with 9 people ahead of me. Only one U-Haul representative working the counter. Finally received the vehicle at 1035 AM after waiting for an hour and a half. Received text message with link to verify equipment conditions. Damages on the vehicle not identified on pictures at link provided which wasted more time as I had to upload pictures with actual equipment condition. Returned vehicle at 1645 and went to counter to provide vital km reading. U-Haul person told me they will take care of it. Received call at 1855 asking why I plan return vehicle. I said I returned vehicle already. Line disconnect. I receive invoice with 39.9 additional charge for late return. I called customer service who informed me that I kept the vehicle for 8 hours instead of 6. When I attempted to explain that I returned vehicle line disconnected. Spent total 2 hours attempting to get reimbursed for overcharge. Went to location on Sunday morning where I talked to the same person that I was working when I returned vehicle the day before. I was informed there was an issue with the close out of the rental. Terrible experience with at least four hours lost which could have been spent with my family. I will never rent from U-haul. Uhaul tried to change my agreement return location which would have cost me more fuel and Uber pick up costs. My first trailer rental ever and went really well despite unforeseen hiccups. Sunny was excellent and noticed slightly flat back tire on my car. He found the screw nail that was causing flat and was able to arrange the repair in less than half an hour. Both the general manager and Sunny were also able to get me set up and on my way with correct adapter. Trailer was perfect size and worked well for my needs. Had a decent experience with my unit while being there, but first getting it we had a horrible experience. First of all-I was told that there was the size I wanted and that for sure it was there when I came back to move my stuff in… and then I came back another day and there wasn't any of the size I wanted. I had to get a bigger unit and pay way more which I wasn't impressed with whatsoever… but I didn't have a choice. Also along with the inconvenience every time I was in the store waiting to talk to people-the wait time was ridiculous and honestly the staff were slow with doing things. Especially when going to rent a trailer or truck. Other then that I had a good experience. Never had a problem accessing my unit or anything along those lines.Mya M. | Overall Experience

Reached 7.45 am and left the location 9.15 am. There was only one person on the counter and 12 people lined up. I ask for more counter to open and got yellied from the lady and the yard person. Yard person was acted very very poor atitude used all kind of language toward me. One point he got radio request and he yellied using bad word without turning the radio. Terrible customer service , rude, it was a kid was laughing at me because I complain I wait almost an hour to get the truck and they mark as my truck has 1/2 of tank and it did not I took the pictures of it but return it at night my phone has die. Our experience with this storage and staff was great and I would probably give it all 5 stars and rave reviews if it wasn't for the unfortunate ending. We came yesterday to empty our storage since it was no longer needed. When the elevator door opened small dishaveled man carring plastic bag came out. Some liquid was trickling down from that bag and when we entered the elevator small puddle of brownish liquid was on the elevator floor.The stench was unbearable!!!! It smelled like stale urin. Awful!!! I have told two staff members about it. I believe one staff member told the small disheveled man to pick up that stinky plastic bag which he just left by the automatic door of the storage facility entrance. However, no one cleaned the elevator floor. The stench in the elevator was so terrible that every time we had to take it to get our stuff out was nauseating.Ante E. | Overall Experience

I've only ever had great experiences with your staff. In fact, when I closed my account with you I had the most lovely person help me do this. However, I brought my stuff home and I found many dead cockroaches in my boxes. I have never ever had cockroaches so this was distressing and made me worry that some had crept into boxes and would infest my home. As I'm sure you can imagine this was very unsettling. I'm still worried about it. What do you recommend I do? I've taken everything out of all boxes outside and wiped everything down but I'm worried.Thank you for your attention on this. Our unit was recently affected due to the flood in the facility. We did appreciate receiving a phone call from the front office to check for damage. Based on the watermarks on our items, there was at least a foot of water in our unit. We paid for the additional insurance provided as an option by U-Haul and were encouraged by the front office to file a claim. We filed a claim and it was immediately denied because U-Haul told the insurer the flood was caused by the city sewers overflowing and this was not covered by the insurer. Did U-Haul file a claim with the city if this in fact was the cause of the flood? Did U-Haul offer to pass on any compensation received from the city to those tenants affected? Did U-Haul offer any compensation for our inconvenience and time clearing out the unit, throwing out hundreds of dollars worth of property and trying to salvage what we could? (but honestly, we didn't know what was in that water...) No follow up from U-Haul at all. Basically we paid for additional insurance (again offered by U-Haul) which isn't covering any of our losses. It seems like the customers are the ones out of pocket from this and we had no recourse but to stop using the facility altogether.AdamGail W. | Overall Experience

Customers should be given an option to select the storage unit they prefer on a first come first basis. Based on age, customers would need extra assistance to store items on the upper storage lockers. Someone tried to break into my unit!!! Someone tried to cut through the metal latch. They didn't get through all the way thankfully. But I couldn't get into my own unit because they broke it so bad. Staff on site were helpful in helping me get into my own unit with tools. But there is definitely a serious security flaw at this facility if stuff like this can happen. Would not recommend this facility due to this poor security. And is anyone going back to look at the video footage of someone trying to break into my unit? Should a police report be filed? The person who checked me in was very nice and patient. She gave very clear instructions to access the facility (down to which parking bay was best for the truck I rented). The dollies were super convenient and appreciated. The place felt very clean and well cared for and the floors were so smooth for moving dollies - really great. Only one point of feedback: The elevator door closes as soon as you exit, which was difficult for us moving the dolly into the elevator as it closed on us a few times. Would be better if the door waited a little before closing. Also it would be nice to have another elevator for busier days so there is less waiting, but that is a smaller detail. Upon initial move in, the area of use in the storage unit did not meet the advised dimensions because of the fire sprinkler pipe running through the unit. We were forced to upgrade to something 3x the price to offload our items. This was unfortunate, but the manager Tanya was very patient and responsive when addressing my concerns. I greatly appreciated her time and effort to provide me solutions that worked for my needs. I ended up cancelling my storage, but not for lack of service.Taelor A. | Overall Experience
The staff there are the best. Even with all the crazy people that go there, the staff are always professional and nice. I dealt with almost everyone working there is a span of 10 hours because it was my first time getting a unit and van. From Sunny the detailer and mechanic to Tanya the manager. I mistakenly thought that you could drive right into this facility so that was a surprise. Also, I am not super keen on having a space that requires using stairs to access above someone else's space, but I managed. The staff were very welcoming and helpful from the moment we pulled into the driveway until we had finished packing our storage. Hasty market took 30 minutes to give me the keys and return the car. There is only 1 car in the parking lot. Spending an hour waiting in a convenience store when it's completely empty doesn't make much sense to me. Especially when he had my ID and credit card the entire time. Was he stealing my identity? I have no idea. As well, the code at Weston Road didn't work so I had to back to the office 3 times. I don't get how the code wouldn't work to get in the storage unit.Paul H. | First Impressions
It was my first time moving into self storage, and I wasn't sure what to expect, but I was very pleasantly surprised at this location. Purchasing, check in, and access was simple and secure both for pedestrian and cars (you can pull right into a covered loading dock for self storage). I purchased a climate controlled locker and was surprised how clean and well lit the facility was. Although my unit was on the 2nd floor, the elevator worked smoothly and there were wheeled carts available to borrow. I was impressed to find a poison control box in my storage unit too. I enjoyed how the entrance to self storage is located close to the front, rather than the back of other self storage facilities I've seen. The only small inconvenience were the steps / ledge at the loading dock for smaller/van-sized vehicles. There was not a lot of room to move large furniture and it required lifting from the van to the ledge at chest level. More room and a ramp would have been ideal, but with 2 or more people it is not a problem. Although there was a bit of a wait (Sunday) the day I moved in, all representatives were very pleasant and helpful, and the general manager was accommodating when I requested a unit on a lower floor. They were also helpful when I was unsure about what size storage locker to purchase. All in all, I had a very positive experience and an optimistic about leaving my personal belongings at this facility.Patricia P. | First Impressions
