Best U-Haul I've seen in my neighborhood. Excellent female floor staff. I'll definitely rent from her again.
STEVEN Dthe first guy who we spoke with was a bit rude, slow in assisting customers and customer service needs to improve for his sensitivity. They assigned us a truck that was park in the middle of other trucks, duh? It took us more than an hour to check out a truck. I'm glad another guy, ( forgot to ask his name) came in help us which is more friendlier and assist us faster.
ESMAEL PFriendly staff but unable to resolve my issue. When entering through the loading dock of the slinging doors close my code would not work saying access denied. The staff do not have access to the system to fix the issue. So I have to enter through the entrance door then go behind the sliding glass doors to open them which made the move so much longer. Also elevator doors close way to fast. The initial unit had a column in it then the new one didn't have a lock I had to go to the second floor get the lock from there which was a wate of time as well. With all these issues I could have been done well before 4pm which cost me time and money in a truck rental as well.

Grace B | First ImpressionsOffer a large zone for picture taking. Rentals are parked very tightly together and it was not possible to take the required photos for the app rental without driving the rental into the driveway and block everyone else.
Ryan HThe check in process was time consuming and clumsy. I was standing infront of an employee at the reception desk and yet I was required to check in online and create an account or download the app. Very annoying process, I very rarely rent vehicles, last thing I want is another account or another app on my phone. Lastly, there was a mistake in the amount of fuel on the online check in and your employee couldn't change it. So I paid an additional $10 in fuel charges on my bill even though I filled up the tank to the level it was when I picked up the van. Overall, this was a very poor experience. It was clear your company hasn't thought very much about the user experience when renting a vehicle. I will go elsewhere next time.
Devan SI was not provided with anything on my order aside from the truck itself. The dollies and furniture covers were not included. When I informed Uhaul of this while returning the rental, the issue was not even addressed and it appears that my bill has not been adjusted. No one has reached out with any kind of update. If this is not corrected, I may have to reverse the charge.

FRANCIS LThey didn't prepare the truck for online pickup. The truck was dirty. We couldn't complete the paperwork after opening. They gave us the wrong keys and the wrong truck, so we had to switch. There was a delay of over an hour and a half. The truck wasn't fueled.

HUGH NOverall it was fine experience, but when I picked up the truck, I was told to get it from the back..as I pulled out, I was blocked by a delivery truck dropping loading things for UHaul…that truck driver was very inconsiderate and told me I had to wait and he didn't have time to move his truck. The UHaul staff member didn't seem to care either. It was a very rude experience which left a very negative feeling.
Vinh TI booked a van on line with my BC address, then at pickup told me, sorry without an Ontario drivers licence, we cannot rent you a van . i asked why was not informed when i booked on line the answer was "sorry " I asked why do you have that policy " beacuse with of province licences we have the vans stolen " So i guess you think i am a thief, great way to welcome your customer. i was left with option than getting a bigger than i need truck , did i have to pay more , of course again "sorry " The truck i got had a leaking the storage area and was soaking wet , all the boxes i bought got soaked. A terrible experience, overall . Would never recommend Uhual again. Hope to hear back , to see if there care from your leadership

MAGGIE BThe trucks were all blocked in at pick up time. The truck assigned to me was not accessible and the staff were not motivated to fix the situation. My pick up and subsequent move was delayed over 1.5 hours.

NELSON RI added dollies while making a reservation, but when I dropped in, they said I needed to fill out all the forms from the beginning, and as usual, I forgot to add dollies. You ruined my day, and I hope your product managers read this and shame the UX. Why do you expect me to fill out the form and then repeat it?

Awful experience. No customer parking at alternate pick up location. Service at the location was awful. Why offer options on line when you cannot deliver???? Now I know why it's called U-Haul. You have to do it yourself. Oh sorry no truck available. Oh sorry no other drop off location. You should call yourself U haul it yourself. Bring your own truck cause we don't give a fuck.

Mekidelawit DCould have been my phone, but the bar code beside the door couldnt be scanned. It was later in the day and the sun was right on it but even blocked it wouldnt scan for me. I was able to complete the return fine though. One thing about this location is at certain times, it gets really busy and can be a bit confusing when doing a mobile return, just not being sure what to do, like staff just telling me to leave the keys in the van contrary to mobile instructions. just small stuff.

TALINE BI was in a long line and a U-Haul staff told me to instead complete check in online. So I stepped out of the line and did so. Then realized I still had to get in line to complete check in. The whole process took 45 minutes of my 4 hour rental time. Then upon receiving the keys the van was nowhere to be found. I had to return inside to ask for assistance, taking another 10 minutes. The process was very frustrating.

EMIL HI was told I had to use the app as opposed to dealing with someone in person. The staff was unhelpful and the process took 45 minutes. The app did not work. A complete disaster as opposed to saving time
Fabio SSubject: Request for Refund Due to Inconvenience with U-Haul Pickup Dear U-Haul Customer Service, I am writing to request a refund for the inconvenience caused during my scheduled truck pickup on November 30th at 6:30 AM. The vehicle was inaccessible, as it was either blocked by other parked trucks. Additionally, the lock code provided for the keys was incorrect, leading to a delay of over 30 minutes in cold weather while I resolved the issue with customer support. Although I was promised on call for a 10' truck from the same location at 1 PM, the pickup was later moved to a faraway location without my consent, further delaying my plans until 1:45 PM. This caused me to incur extra costs for movers and lose valuable work hours due to the lack of the committed vehicle. JEFF AOrdered a 15 ' truck. Someone called and said they don't have it at that location, so they told me they had a 15' at a different location. I say ok, and they confirm it over the phone. Then when I check the reservation the morning of my rental, it's been changed to a 10'. I couldn't fit all of my furniture in and am now having to reschedule several key aspect of my move, because of how unreliable and awful this company handled this. I also ordered extra items to help with the move and they were not included.
Katherine RAfte giving an average review, I am now happy to say that U-Haul has come through and throroughly addressed my fuel surcharge issue. Although unexpected, since many companies these days don't care about their customers, U-Haul at Stockyards went the extra mile for me. Thank you. I will use your services again.
Pavel PCall people 48-73hrs before their reservation to confirm booking. I was not called the day before in fact I had to call you guys and then found out my preferred location (by my house) did not have trucks. I had to drive 40 min out of my way to pickup the truck at 9am today. The 24hr window allows no room for error and puts yours customers in a bad situation should they need to make other arrangements. Overall I wouldn't recommend uhaul and will likely never use you guys again.

BOHDAN CI was transferred to this location by U-Haul the day before pick-up and they kept my 8am pick-up time even though this location only opens at 9am. I had to come back in an hour, only for the employee on-site to tell me to use the online check-in even though I chose counter pick-up.

Mark NI mean, I walked into the space and asked to be checked in. There were three employees in the place, not actively working, and I was told I needed to check in online using my phone. So I had to check in with my phone, sitting in front of an agent who sat there on their phone.
Donavon LIt's hard for me to rate because this is my first time renting a UHaul truck. I can say that I had a very bad experience but this was because (a) the app wasn't working; (b) my reservation was not in the system so I wasted an hour trying to pick up my truck; (c) I spent countless hours trying to make the reservation in the first place (that wasn't in the system when I arrived) because of weirdness relating to one-way versus two-way rental - turned out the one-way option means you don't know where and when you are picking up truck until the day before, so I called early on to see if I could get exact time/place for pick-up and was told I had to drive to another city! Thank goodness I called way ahead of time so I had chance to switch to a two-way rental (meaning pick up and drop off are both at same location). The US manager I spoke to in Customer Service Center offered me better price and large mileage allowance to switch to two way rental because the one way rental just wouldn't work. But when I arrived to pick up truck, this reservation that was not in the system, so it was like trying to make a new reservation on the spot but without getting the offer that was promised to me by the US manager. The first employee flailed for an hour and wasn't able to give me the reservation that I was told had been made by the US manager. Then a second employee jumped in and made my reservation seeing that the first employee couldn't figure out how to do it. My friends who were helping me load the truck were standing at a storage locker waiting for me to arrive because it took over an hour for me to pick up my truck. I was planning to arrive before my friends. Very frustrating and disappointing. I think I spent over 6 hours in total over two weeks just over making a reservation, picking up and dropping off truck. It shouldn't take this long. The furniture dolly I rented came with no rope so it was useless. Though I had a horrible experience, my main issue is the lack of coordination between the US customer service and the local Uhaul headquarters. The computer systems don't seem to talk to each other. The app freezes and crashes. Overall, I would say that if you need to rent a truck, you can try this place but budget an extra hour for pick up of truck to deal with possible headaches.

BLAKE SThe type of vehicle we booked was not available. We had checked in online the day before and still, when we got to the pick up location, we couldnt get the truck. Even if they have an office, you need to download the app and go through a messy process. The app was erratic. After almost an hour trying to pick the truck, one agent helped us. That was great and veeeeery useful. But the rest of the experience was awful and frustrating. Too many requirements, like providing multiple contacts and call them on spot...which is not reasonable. I am new to the country and just need to rent a car for some hours with a valid driving license and a credit card, what else do you need?

Kevin RIn terms of the rentals themselves, the location is great and easy to get to. The lack of customer service though was VERY disappointing. I went in to the location to pick up my van - I was the lone customer, and the person at the desk told me to just check in on the app, while they were on a personal call. I finished, then waited (again, I was the only customer there). Eventually they looked up to me and asked "you done?" I handed my phone over and they made me check in AGAIN. I did this, and after 20 mins I was handed over the key to a van. I looked all over the lot, and the found that the van itself was BLOCKED IN behind the trucks behind the building. I went back and was able to swap with another vehicle but it's ridiculous that it took me half an hour to even leave the location (that's 1/8 of the time I booked for and had I not been doing just a short run, you can bet I would have been arguing any overcharge). If you're just going to make people use the app, you're better off just having a sign to note this or having a self serve kiosk than wasting your money paying people to do nothing and ignore your customers.

DOGUKAN DI did not appreciate my rate increasing when I didn't even get a notification of the facility switching away from 24hr access or even late night access to the loading docks. I only found out from my father who also has a storage locker at the facility. This was annoying and sometimes required more planning to get to the unit on time. I understand increases but my cost for this unit really was unreasonable in the 3 times I've owned it and I'm glad to have moved out. I also had one water spill near my unit in this time which wasn't communicated to me but luckily nothing was damaged in my unit. Otherwise it was reasonably clean and felt secure, no issues with staff. I would love it if U-Haul offered a partial refund as I am on the hook for almost 3 weeks of storage now with nothing to show for it. Gracias.

Walk in to pick up my reservation had the person who "works" there not say a single word as I standing in front of him until I had to say "hi , I'm here to pick up a truck I reserved online" . It seem I was interrupting his time. Luckily a colleague of his jumped in and told me to download the app. I understand if it was busy and there was a line up of people but there was no one there but me and 3 employees talking about their personal life story. I book online to save me the hassle to do it there but when I got there I spent 20 mins filling out the information that I already did online. When I was done filling in the information I show the staff there and he just told me the truck was in the back thinking that there was only one but as soon as I went to the back there were easily over 20 trucks so I spent some time looking for it.

We moved all our stuff to another floor and then they told us we either need to get a different ( smaller unit ) or pay $50 more per month. The discount was apparently because it was in the basement but they were not able to remove the lock left there nor give us a discount . I went back and for 3 times and in the end had to pay $50 extra a month even though I placed a reservation ahead and was guaranteed the spot based on the fact no one checked the unit I was penalized. I was also called later to remove the lock from the first unit which was not mine

Not having the option to have an employee complete the reservation in person in the conventional method and forcing patrons to check themselves out digitally is lacking customer service. There should be an option to not have to upload pictures and allow permissions on phones due to digital security concerns. It feels like people don't want to do any work.
Lucas ADespite talking to someone at the location and another person who handles phone calls when the line is busy, neither person was able to recommend the right size vehicle for the dimensions of the piece of furniture I was transporting despite me giving exact dimensions. You would think they should know the size of the opening of the vans. Good thing I had my tape measure with me as I had to change vehicles on the fly. Also creating an on line profile is a large hassle and the women at the desk while she tried to help was not a very good help. Overall not a great experience.

GEORGE TEverything is fine, except for the girl that initially help me with my pick up truck. She came across as if I was bothering her Life by asking for help with the app that she told me to use. My friend who had also had the same experience, said the exact same thing When she came in asking for information. Let's just say she's not very accommodating or helpful aa if she's being forced to be there Everyone else was amazing and wonderful drop off was amazing and perfect.

PAWEL GHorrible experience. Had to keep the truck overnight because the desk person did not mention that there would be nobody there after 7pm which is when I showed up to move things into my storage unit. The following day, going to set up the storage unit (which i had reserved online the week before to avoid any issues and have a smooth move). Not only did I wait in line for over an hour to get my storage locker but I had to wait another half hour before they could get someone to unlock the dock door yet all these employees were walking right by us and saying I had to go to the front desk. There was only 1 guy at the desk and he wasn't the quickest. Finally got 2 loads on 2 carts, got in to the elevator to go to the 3rd floor and we got stuck in the elevator. I called Uhaul, the agent on the phone called the store directly. She was told they did not know how long the elevator company would take. I was so frustrated after being in there on the phone with the agent for half hour that I told her that I was going to cancel everything and I wanted my money back, I was going elsewhere. She was so parient and apologetic, I stayed calm and didn't take it out on her because she was showing more concern than anyone at the store level. The agent called the manager directly, no answer so she left a voice message and to this day not a call from her and I'm prettyvsure the employees did not fill her in on what had happened. I called a friend of ours and he googled how to get out of an elevator and sure enough, afyer being in there 40 mimutes, we opened the inside door and were able to pop the gate to open the door. I went down to the office and walked right to the desk, told him i was the woman stuck in the elevator and asked the desk Clerk to cancel everything and I am not waiting in line again ( at this point, there was probably about 10-15 people lined up). He looked down at his computer, he was serving an older gentleman so I waited patiently for him to be done. 10 minutes or so go by and the gentleman was annoyed and asked why the boy was typing but not saying anything for so long. The boy then grabs papers from the printer beside him, scoots his chair over to me and shows me that my transaction was canceled. He did not even have the decency to stand and walk over, no sorry or anything. The Weston Road location had the laziest bunch of employees I have ever encountered and i have been in customer service for over 30 years. I highly doubt the manager would have even done anything had she been there judging from the lack of consideration to even follow up after several messages left for her.
NUNO BI did experience difficulty accessing the loading bay doors (sliding glass doors where you back a 15-foot truck). I would have to prop the doors while I unloaded the truck because if they closed while I was outside, I had to go to another door to get back in. Otherwise, everything was good.

prame r | Overall ExperienceFacility is clean and well kept, but is poorly designed for a large storage needs. It would be perfect for smaller storage needs, but not something like large furniture or lots of items. Unfortunately, the loading docks are very limited, very busy, and inconvenient. The single elevator is very small and slow, making it difficult to move lots of items. The distance between the large storage units and loading dock can be far. If your storage needs are more limited, none of these concerns would be a real problem. Staff were helpful and the building is very clean. The after hours access was super easy.

clint s | Overall ExperienceService elevator was broken. We could only use the small elevator. Once we got to our unit on the second floor it was still locked. Luckily the previous renter of the unit was on site and could unlock it for us. we then realized there was a 2ft by 2ft pillar in the middle of the unit. Why would we pay for a 5x10ft unit when its really only 5x8ft. We then had to move units again. The process took way long than it need to and was very inconvenient.

I asked the office and was told that they moved me out on their end. I did not tell them that I was ready to be moved out, they just did it after I asked what the process was, and I still had 19 days left on my rental. So, be careful when moving out, that you no longer require the locker when inquiring about the move out process.

Cassandra B | Overall ExperienceMy auto pay is charged to my credit card every 24th of the month, but I'd had a security breach on my credit card so it was replaced. On calling the new card # in last week to U-Haul office the service rep. took new info fine but neglected to assign my locker # to the new card so the payment failed - another clerk called me informing my payment failed and then took my locker # and was able to take my payment immediately. I am not happy that the 1st service rep did not take the information properly and put my payment contract in jeopardy for my locker rental through no fault by me.

Larger unit was available at a much higher monthly price, staff refused to discount the larger unit. Had an apartment's worth of stuff all packed up and was left with no storage unit because staff refused to pro use the larger available unit at the same price as the smaller one. The location should never have given me the unit or allowed me to book the unit and then they offered no help to rectify the situation.

Did the mobile pickup and dropoff for Uhaul and was not a pleasant experience. I wasted 45 minutes of my booked time at the beginning. I should have been informed that the process takes a long time then I would have started earlier. Same thing at the dropoff. It is a convenient service however its time consuming and this should be conveyed to clients.

Tamim S | First ImpressionsI had a good enough experience with this facility until there was flooding and staff had to enter my storage unit to check for damages. They found none but changed the lock on the door. When I came back after a long time abroad, I was met with a very unprofessional staff member who left me waiting over an hour to get a new key for the new lock, but in the end they couldn't find it and I had to return on another date. This was inconvenient. Then, when I vacated my unit I did find water damage to boxes of books. The insurance policy is a long a tedious process which requires receipts for items I bought years ago.

My only complaint is that when I originally booked my storage unit, the one I wanted was not available and I had no choice but to take a much larger unit and pay DOUBLE the price of the one I booked which was available online and the website let me complete the reservation - however when I arrived they said it wasn't available and my only option was to take the 5x10 walk-in unit. The website should ACCURATELY reflect the inventory. I was not expecting to pay almost $200 per month when the one I reserved was $79

It wasn't a rectangular shape and there was a column part of the wall that took up square footage that took up space meaning lost sq footage. The front desk and customer service rep couldn't provide me with an alternate unit and I was forced to cancel. U-Haul should take not that unit 3040 feels like an afterthought and should not be sold to future customers at the price of a 8x4x8 unit.

Joshua A | Overall ExperienceWhen I first rented my locker, I rented a truck with it. I discussed with the desk worker that I'd be returning at 11pm to move items to my locker and return the truck. When I arrived, I discovered the facility was closed and I couldn't gain access. This was not mentioned as a possibility beforehand by any member of staff. In order to resolve the issue, I had to contact a U-Haul representative from Texas to have my rental extended and had to spend money on an overnight parking space for the truck. The next day when I arrived, I found the locker I'd been assigned had a broken door. It was not and could not be closed due to the damage. I went to the office to request a different unit. I was told there no units of the same size available, but that I would be switched to a different locker at the same price of $89/m. When I received my bill, I discovered that was incorrect and I was being charged greater than $150/m. If I were informed of this initially, I would not have chosen that option. It took nearly two weeks for me to get in contact with a manager to correct the invoice. When I was finally able to contact a manager, I was told the price continuing onward would be $150/m. When I arrived to pay my bill the following month, I was charged greater than that amount. On this occasion, the desk worker put through the correct charge without much trouble on my end. However, that error should not have happened in the first place and I should not have had to reach out to the office to pay my bill when I had set up my account through the U-Haul app to be payable digitally. Additionally, the office area at 355 Weston Rd is not wheelchair accessible. Though there is a ramp to the door, it is not possible to open the door and exit the building while using a wheelchair. I have a dynamic disability, requiring differing mobility aids at different times and when I arrived in a wheelchair, I needed to request assistance from desk staff to open the door for me, reducing my dignity and independence, and leaving business unaligned with the Ontario Accessibility Standards and the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act 2005. I hope you will review your staff training so they are aware of costs that will be put upon customers, and that you will review the discriminatory inaccessibility of your building so your business can align itself with provincial and federal standards. ISAAC M | Overall ExperienceThe first unit I attempted to move into (had reserved) had a blue liquid leaking from the adjoining unit. It also had a pipe that removed storage area that had not been noted in the reservation info (other units noted pillars in the unit). The staff were quick and helpful in assisting with securing a new unit for me. The service was very good. Access hours for loading dock access could be extended on Sundays. This is a major moving day for many and there were many other customers making use of the area on Sunday evening while I was there. Overall I was pleased and impressed with the facility.

Marilyn P | Overall ExperienceI went 3 times to the U-Haul store, on Weston Road, in Toronto, to know and rent a storage. The attendant showed me the options and for my need the ideal size was 5'x7', $ 84.95 per month. As I did not have the desired size available at that time, I checked it on the internet until an availability appeared and booked it. On Saturday, April 29, I went to the store to make the deal. We confirmed again the information, size, model and values and made the payment. After everything was done, I went to the storage to see the location, on the way we found the employee who attended us initially and he accompanied us, when he arrived there was an employee cleaning and we thought it was strange, because our storage would be at the top and they said it was the bottom one, the smallest. Then all my annoyance began, because they wanted to convince me that it was the same storage, that it had the same storage size!! What do you mean? No one is stupid, of course it was not the same size, it was the smallest, 5'x5', and they tried to convince me and say that it was 5x5x5 and not 5x5x8, at no time of the 3 times I was at U-Haul they told me these differences, they showed me only 5x7 and 5x5, This is a deception, misleading advertising from U-Haul, I have the photos here of the storages that you have on display in the stores. Anyway, I went back to the office and talked to the manager, who just didn't care about the unpleasant situation I went through and the wrong information that the employees gave me too, and she just told me that that size of storage has not been available for a long time!! Unfortunate!! So why did it appear on the availability website? I made the reservation!! And if I wasn't available, why didn't they inform me when I got there? And on top of that they tried to convince me that I was wrong?? Did they fool me? Of course I canceled everything and I am very disappointed with U-Haul's service.
