I closed out my storage on March 13, 2021 not April 12, 2021. On March 13, 2021 I reserved a truck to move out. I picked up my keys for the truck and informed the lady working that I'm also emptying out my storage unit. She told me to come back to the office once I was done to close everything out. Once the storage was empty and I loaded the truck with my belongings from unit 179, I returned to the office to close out the storage unit. The lady was working by herself and had a long line waiting for assistance. When she saw me at the end of the line she told me I didn't have to wait and that she would close the unit and send me confirmation via email. I never received that email. But I did receive a bill for the month of April a few weeks later. I called back to the office and spoke with the same lady and she said she would close it out again and don't worry about the April payment. I recently received a bill and another email for the month of April. On April 12, I stopped by the office, the same lady working again but with another young man. I think she was training him. When I told her that I didn't receive any confirmation about closing out the unit and I was still being billed for April, she stated that another person just did a walk through of the units and how could that be possible. Her attitude was very unprofessional. So as I'm waiting for her to look through her system to resolve the issue, she finally printed out a sheet of paper, with nothing being said. The young man picked up the sheet of paper from the printer and and she just pointed to me so that he could give me this piece of paper. The statement shows that there was a $0 balance. She didn't say anything until I asked her was everything taken care of and then she stated yes you're good to go. I was so taken back by her attitude I forgot to ask if I would be refunded the difference for the March payment. Please look into hiring and training your workers and if I will receive a prorated refund for the month of March.CHASITY M. | Overall Experience

Improvements are needed in the timeliness of customer service. The Uhaul employee engaged in a personal conversation with a customer after assisting the customer while I was waiting in line to reserve a truck. The reservation was done over again on the day of pick up because the Uhaul employee put the wrong pick up date, and I failed to review the receipt received the day I made the reservation.trina W.

The guy at the desk put that we only wanted the truck for 4 hours after we stated multiple times that we needed it for 24 hours. We were charged a late fee that was never resolved. Good experience. Lack of equipment for moving heavy pieces was a problem. Disappointed with the communication. Original location was Sparkleberry then you changed it to Two Notch because of equipment problems at Sparkleberry, Other than not having the hand trucks (not sure what they're called) the experience was fine.WAYNE L.

Without a doubt Jessica the young lady that helped me did an exceptional job with my rental. I find it unprofessional that she had to make multiple trips out to the lot to find a trailer that came up rentable, not to mention she had no help to pull the trailer I rented from the back (I helped) Second I called to add an extra day to my rental needing it for a couple hours in the morning, I was told not to worry I had until 11am the next morning to return I ran over by 1 1/2 hrs and got charged an extra day. MOD didn't seem to care one bit. I have a truck rental reservation coming up this weekend that if not in a time crunch I'd happily change it to a competitor. Reserved two dollys along with the truck. Also reserved a dozen furniture pads. I was not made aware until I arrived that they had zero utility dollys and only 6 furniture pads. I returned the truck and was assured by the representative that he emailed me the receipt. I had to call back in, finally got the receipt to find I had been charged for the utility dollys and all of the furniture pads. Corporate advises me I have to go back to the office 15 miles away and interact with someone face to face in order to get a refund. PatheticWILLIAM B.

This was NOT the pick up location originally planned.on arrival at the planned location at the planned time Iwas told that the vehicle was not available and that I had to go to the Two Notch Rd facility. This was a significant distance from the planned site. I do not understand why the vehicle was not at the original planned location as I had reserved the vehicle more than 24 hours prior to the planned pickup. This was a significant inconvenience to me in both time and expense for both mileage and fuel.PAUL E.

Have the employees check back in customers when they drop off instead of hours later, so the customers are charged an extra day for something that was not their fault. It took ages to figure out how to retrieve the uhaul. The attendants were unhelpful because I had signed up for check in by phone, which apparently relieved them off all responsibility. I paid for a half a dozen packaging blankets, which were not in the uhaul. I was not refunded. Not only do I not recommend but I plan to actively discourage people from using Uhaul in columbia. Good counter service and trailer attachment/removal, but the utility trailer had a lot of construction debris in it which included rocks, chunks of sheetrock, and a couple of nails. This made it unsuitable for moving furniture until I cleaned it.William H.
