Uhaul is very unprofessional. I had a reservation and there was no truck, pushed me back 2 hrs and still no truck, sent me to a location 30 mins out the way from my pickup to get a truck. They didnt care how they inconvenienced me for hrs and didnt offer any kind of discount for the inconvenience.

Provide more education on how to secure the u-haul safely. The representative was not aware that coupler locks existed to secure the car trailer to the u-haul. She did work very hard though in teaching us how to secure the car as well getting us the truck early.
Tyler S.I would like for you all to at least put gas in the Uhaul truck before giving it to a customer during the process. I spoke with am employee and he admitted yeah you going to need some gas before going on the road to pick up your furniture. I was disappointed because gas price is high, but it should have least had some type of gas before pulling off on the road.

java D.I made a reservation for 6:00 am pickup using my phone. When I went to the location for pickup, the app told me to wait until normal business hours. Then after the store opened, the didn't have the furniture dolly that I reserved. I had to go buy them from home depot. The truck was very dirty, still had empty bottles and Grease from the last renter. Was never cleaned. Also back of the truck was full of trash. The combination of late pick up and not having the dolly took about 2 hours in addition to filling up the gas tank. I had to pay my loaders extra 2 hours for loading and the unloading crew cancelled due to change of time. Therefore my wife and I had to unload a 26 foot truck. At the time of the pickup, I asked the lady “manager†if I can get any discount for late pickup and not having a dolly, her said “ all I can do is to remove the charge for the furniture dolly†obviously if you don't have it, you can't charge me for it!!! The gentleman that works there is extremely nice and professional.

I had my unit from 2012 and was told I had until March 3rd to pay I came on March 2nd and all my Belongings were sold the day before. I was treated poorly by the manger and shut down. Then a general facilitated letter was placed as the one sent and it was not the same one I got also it was verified in a phone call that o had unto 3/3/22. Also in person on the 3/2/22 the days were counted and I had until 3/3/22. I'm very unhappy and disappointed that a long term tenant would be treated this way. I'll never use nor recommend this company. Prior to this incident there was another big problem with management. I'm devastated. And had to be hospitalized due to the upset and mistreatment of not having access to my unit and not being given an opportunity to make my payment on 3/2/22.

I went online to reserve a unit at one location, entered my code for the free month at checkout BUT DID NOT COMPLETE THE CHECKOUT. I decided I wanted to use a different location, but when I got to checkout and tried my code, it was rejected. So I called customer service. At first the guy acted like he didn't believe I had a free month, asking who sent me the email etc. Finally he took my information to reserve a unit at the location I chose. When I got to the location, the woman saw the reservation but said they didn't have any units available of the size that I had selected on the reservation. I had chosen the largest unit, but she said all they had was a couple of the second largest and several of the ones below that. So I chose the second largest. She got to where she would complete the transaction and it still denied my free month code. She ended up working around it, and gave me the card for the gate. The receipt had zero information on it, which confused her as to why, but she hand wrote everything in. When I got to the gate, the card did not work. So I returned to the office. When she looked up my account, it did not show I had rented a unit. So she tried to do it again, this time her system said there were no units of that size available. So fine, I accepted an even smaller unit. Apparently she was new, and the ENTIRE TIME the more seasoned employee was at the station next to her but never offered any assistance. After about 10 minutes of her trying to figure out my reservation issue, he finally offered up the idea that she should just treat me as a walk-in customer. So that worked. But then at checkout my free month code still didn't work. Again, she fumbles around until she finally asked him and he said to just give me the month without the code because he always has issues with the codes. After that, all worked out fine. A process which should've taken 5-10 minutes ended up taking over an hour of my time. 1)Your website system should not be completely voiding the free month offer codes if the transactions are not completed. 2)your new employees need better training. 3)your existing employees should not ignore a new employee who is obviously struggling. And might I mention, the customer behind me in line had the EXACT SAME ISSUE with a free month code.

Carol U. | Online Move InI closed out my storage on March 13, 2021 not April 12, 2021. On March 13, 2021 I reserved a truck to move out. I picked up my keys for the truck and informed the lady working that I'm also emptying out my storage unit. She told me to come back to the office once I was done to close everything out. Once the storage was empty and I loaded the truck with my belongings from unit 179, I returned to the office to close out the storage unit. The lady was working by herself and had a long line waiting for assistance. When she saw me at the end of the line she told me I didn't have to wait and that she would close the unit and send me confirmation via email. I never received that email. But I did receive a bill for the month of April a few weeks later. I called back to the office and spoke with the same lady and she said she would close it out again and don't worry about the April payment. I recently received a bill and another email for the month of April. On April 12, I stopped by the office, the same lady working again but with another young man. I think she was training him. When I told her that I didn't receive any confirmation about closing out the unit and I was still being billed for April, she stated that another person just did a walk through of the units and how could that be possible. Her attitude was very unprofessional. So as I'm waiting for her to look through her system to resolve the issue, she finally printed out a sheet of paper, with nothing being said. The young man picked up the sheet of paper from the printer and and she just pointed to me so that he could give me this piece of paper. The statement shows that there was a $0 balance. She didn't say anything until I asked her was everything taken care of and then she stated yes you're good to go. I was so taken back by her attitude I forgot to ask if I would be refunded the difference for the March payment. Please look into hiring and training your workers and if I will receive a prorated refund for the month of March.
