The rental process was off track from the get go. Wrong trailer given to me caused a cascade of problems the local staff could not correct. Mellissa in Fargo, ND did a very nice job of getting the billing situation corrected. She also had a very nice demeanor in handling this situation.

So I talke with a few customer service reps, and one thing that was different between a few is some said there was a military discount and another said their wasn't. I know one applied some discount on the trailer I had, but when I upgraded a lady said she would apply it and never did. When I called back to also reserve a tow dolly and asked about the discount the guy said "We do not have a military discount". So that was the only frustrating part.

I had set everything up online because this was supposedly “faster” according to the website. I arrived at the location at designated time, only to see my approval hadn’t been ready after 2 hours. Waited a good 20 minutes for a non-area number to finally call my significant other, which was apparently the only thing they needed in order for me to get my vehicle. I then went inside to have an employee try and tell me I had signed up for a one way truck, until finally looking at my online order and giving me the key. The furniture dolly I paid $7 for was never in the truck nor given to me by any employee. I’ve used uhaul before and never had issues, but was very unimpressed with this experience.

3/29/2020 I rented a van and was invoiced a rate different than my reservation rate. I have spent an hour with two different customer service agents. The first denied there was an issue and disconnect our chat. The second acknowledged the difference between the reservation and the invoice but said she did not have the authority to manage. She issued a claim number and said someone would call me within 72 hours. This appears to be very deliberate over invoicing and a dispute process made to cause one to give up.

That location and the owner Eric are great but for some reason I was charged online for $74 on a separate charge from the $49 pick up rental. I looked through all the emails from U-Haul and there are no receipts for the merchandise U-Haul charged me for. I filled fraudulent charges with my bank. I called customer service at U-Haul and they told me the store charged me, I called the store they told me U-Haul online charged me. I then went to the U-Haul store while on the phone with U-Haul customer service and customer service said it was U-Haul online that charged me and to call another number, I called that number and was on hold for 15 minutes and gave up. You need to make this right and reimburse my credit card for the $74. My phone number is 605 661 5952

When we picked it up they said we could have it for a full day at the same rate so we said we were going to do it and were told we needed it back by 4. Well they put 4 the same day and we got charged for 2 days. Very poor customer service.

I was overcharged for mileage. Showed pictures of dash to woman checking me in and she agreed. Left store and then received final bill still overcharging me. Spent 45 mins on phone before charges were finally refunded. I’ve used this location many times but will be taking my business elsewhere from now on. Terrible way to treat a returning customer

Every time I go to this location they are unable to help. This particular day the guy told me he had no internet and couldn’t see what available trucks they had so I would have to call. Then another customer behind me said so you probably can’t help me either, but some how the guy was going to try to help him! It’s frustrating to have no customer service. Looking at my bill I am being charged 8.25 for gas. I returned the truck with same gas as I found it. Terrible experience

If you have a pre check in then it should not take an hour to get out of the place and on the road. The only good thing is a guy stoped moving vehicles and came over to help me. He was a great asset to your business

They incorrectly tried to charge me for fuel. Thankfully I took pictures of the dash when I picked up the truck and when I returned it so I could prove that it was returned with the same amount of fuel as when it was picked up. Only cost me 45 min of sitting on hold. Sad that I have to waste my time and energy due to their lack of integrity. All I can say is check your bill if you rent from them and take pics before and after so you don’t get taken advantage of. Clearly you can’t rely on them operating with honesty.

I am a little bit frustrated, as on my last rental, I ended up having to return the trailer later than anticipated. It was due back yesterday at 230. We called and let them know that it was going to be late and was told that it wouldn't be an issue. However, when returning the trailer this morning around 8am, I was told that I would be charged an entire extra day. It wasn't a bad experience, but I wish that this would have been clarified. I have rented quite a bit over the past 6 months from uhaul.

I rented the trailer for 3 days and only used it for 1 1/2 days. Was told I would get a refund on any days not used. The receipt gave an incorrect return date saying it was returned on 2/23 at 9 am when it was actually returned on 2/21 at 6:10 pm. I should have received an immediate acknowledgement of the return and the refund!

I did reserve a U-Haul and thought I was going to pick it up at 7am. Things were a little rough that morning, as I’m a mother of 2 wild boys and we had basketball along with other things going on. We didn’t get there in time but I didn’t know that if I wasn’t there by that time you gave it away. I didn’t receive a phone call, text or email saying anything about it. We got there and the gal just simply said, “We don’t have it.” I then asked the gal if she had anything available and just short and sweet said “No.” She was a little rude, short answers, wouldn’t look at us when she was talking and we could barely hear her. I understand that you have a business to run and if someone doesn’t show then the next person gets it but a call or something would be nice as well. All in all, we did get a truck and when dropping it off the 2 guys that helped were absolutely amazing. All smiles.

The female that checked me out was rude and I didnt appreciate her telling me she was going to do something one way but because I was reacting to her poor customer service that she now wasnt going to do it that way, inconveniencing me or trying to punish me. This is not how customers should be treated. I was not impressed and will not be returning to uhaul.

While waiting for over a half hour for someone to help me, I went online and completed everything to rent a 4x7 trailer, including paying with a debit card. When an employee finally helped me, he couldn't find the reservation and I had to give him all the info and pay again. After getting home, the trailer wasn't wide enough. It is advertised as a 4x7, but interior is only 3'3", which is deceptive advertising. It is closer to 3x7 than 4x7. Couldn't even use trailer and immediately returned it. I would like my money back and you need to change advertising size. Not happy and complete waste of my time.

Ensure the vehicle is clean when I get it. Old fries were all over the cab of the truck and make sure the vehicle is full of gas. Also accurately record the mileage to the tenth of a mile not just rounding to whole numbers. Because of the truck not being filled and mileage not accurately recorded I spent more on gas than I needed to and was charged for additional mileage because I stopped to get gas. The truck ended up with a half tank more than I received it with and no refund is given and could not waive the 2 miles I was charged. I will never use uhaul again and will recommend to everyone never use your services again.

The online 24/7 share thing is horrible! Had to go in and start all over with the representative at the store... (Not good for a service that is supposed to be convenient) also when I dropped off the vehicle I followed the instructions from my email and completed all the steps and I was STILL CHARGED the $20 dollar after hours service charge. I followed all of the steps and this is rediculous. I only used this VAN for 2hours (As I had only a couple important things to move to my new place right away and the rest over the next few weeks and I can't imagine I'll be renting a uhaul) around 16 miles, and I paid over $55. I've used uhal before with no problems 1. If I would have kept the for an additional 20 some hours and returned it when the business was open I would have saved $20. 2. I still followed all of the instructions to satisfy the return and still got charged for it. Nickel and dime nickel and dime. Penske might have just earned my business when I complete my move.

Person who helped me originally was not very knowledgable. He was asking questions alot while getting the trailer lined up for me. Also the driver side front tire of the trailer i had was out of balanced. i communicated this to the rep who i returned the trailer with. He said he would check it out.
