One of my Uboxes had issues. One was built POORLY that the clasp lock wasnt installed correctly therefore I could not secure my Ubox at midnight when i was done loading for the night. That really PISSED ME OFF! I had to do a workaround at midnight!

bill W.It is near impossible to get anyone on the phone and my husband and I have spend countless time trying to get ahold of anyone at the store to go over the issues we have with the billing. Customer service just sends the list of issues to the store instead of fixing it at that moment. The add on fees you have billed are insane, especially when we tried to do everything correctly but the page would not load on our phones to drop it overnight and the gas stations were closed. Those fees are predatory.

Heather A.I called in twice to UHaul and asked what I needed to connect the trail and no one could tell me. Once I got on site, a tech told my I needed a 2" ball and a 4 way connector. Luckily, I had the 2" ball but had to buy a connector for the lights even though I had one at home. This is horrible customer service. It's ridiculous that the 4way adapter did not get loaned to me.
Tim G.The truck door would close all the way so it was very noisy in the cab. We had a hard rain so the driver side was soaking wet after. The inside of the truck was not water tights so all of my stuff in the front of the truck got wet including my 3 tv boxes. If my TVs don't work anymore I will be calling back about how this will be covered. The gas gauge also didn't work properly.

Next, they told me it had a quarter of a tank of gas and it did not…it was on empty!! I have picture to prove it!!! Most important, every time we shut it off it wouldn't start again so we had to find help to get it going!! The battery light kept coming on!! I believe I should be credited! This was awful!!

Theresa J.I've rented from uhaul in the past, but the experience I had with Kellyn Kruger @ the UHAUL located at 923 W 11th Street, Sioux Falls was the absolute worst. Theres no way I can accurately describe his incompetence, severe knowledge deficit especially when hooking up a trailer, and lack of accountability when he damaged my car's electrical cable for the trailer. For example: when hooking up the trailer he did not safely attach the chains which would have easily slipped off and worst case scenario caused an accident. It wasn't until my bf brought it to his attention that other trailers had this black rubber ring on the end that prevented the chains from coming off that he begrudgingly went to get one (at our insistance). His customer service skills were subpar at best, as after he broke the cars electrical cable for the trailer (that was working prior to him needing to "fix" something) he proceeded to raise his voice and yell at me to get his point across. It was extremely unprofessional and even when the owner came over he did not attempt to intervene or defuse the situation. Because I had no other options I had to agree to a new converter and rewiring at my expense due to the employees lack of knowledge and experience. It's really unfortunate that UHAUL chooses to employ people who disrespect customers and tarnish your reputation.
chantal W.This rating is about U-haul overall - our move was a disaster from beginning to end. Promises made and not met. Hours of my time wasted when I was told by 2 different people that my U-boxes were still in storage but they had actually already shipped. Staff seems poorly trained (although most - but not all - were friendly) and the website is confusing. The icing on the cake was when our last two boxes arrived and one was loaded on the trailer the wrong way so we couldn't open the door. Two months later and I'm still waiting for a manager to call me back about reversing some charges they had waived due to the poor service.

I was on time with my return but because they waited to check it it, I was charged for a second day! NEVER allow them to wait to check you in and email you a receipt later! I did contact customer service and they stated they will be issuing a refund for the second day. We shall see.

When i arrived, I see what looks like an office with glass windows, I was concerned about going in because there was a man camped out in front of the door who appeared to be on drugs. I left my valuables in the car and quickly proceeded to the office. This address is 201 S.West Ave Sioux Falls 57104. Once inside, There is no one there, no office. Just a Kiosk that tells you, you need to check in online and have renatl insurance paperwork. Clearly too much hassel for a storage unit, but, most alarming was the desolate building with no personnel! I drove to the U Haul right around the corner and explained to Tyler, why I was so upset, He was very kind,understanding and professional. He took care of me by offering me a unit on site, the original address I first called. I appreciate the remedy but think Management needs to inform their employees to disclose the unmanned conditions of the property and to direct woman and the elderly to the manned site if available.

TAMMIE M.You need more help. When I arrived to rent the trailer no one was in the store area and I had to wait for a clerk to help me. When I returned the trailer there were 5-6 people waiting in line for one clerk. Furthermore, the attendant who helped me disconnect the trailer was very rude. He had his back to me and did not acknowledge me nor would he answer my questions. He walked away as I asked for further clarification. Finally at about fifty feet of distance between us he he turned to me and shouted something unintelligible to me. Totally unacceptable. I won't be back!

Jeff G.While most of the staff at this U-Haul location were friendly and helpful, corporate U-Haul is doing them a huge disservice. First of all, the design of the new storage units attached to the main building creates a situation where the entry to my storage unit is blocked with return U-Haul trucks every time I try to access it. Beyond that this U-Haul location is understaffed. So there is no one to help move the trucks out of the way. In addition, I first rented my unit online via the U-Haul website and when I showed up they did not have a unit of my size available. I understand this to be a corporate U-Haul issue and not a local problem. It seems corporate is creating issues and leaving it to the local U-Haul to solve it. I will not be renting from U-Haul again and I would strongly recommend against it to anyone I come into contact with

It was a Very very VERY loooong drive :/ I was offered a one month storage unit free of charge and when I arrived to turn in the trailer and unload our stuff.. I found out there was only an upstairs unit available at the drop off location I had picked ...I was totally overwhelmed at the thought of hauling everything we own up the stairs on my own and already exhausted from the long drive with wild kids 若 the lady that was helping us went out of her way to arrange a unit at a different location to accommodate and I am beyond grateful!! I almost cried the happy tears!!! Grateful, impressed, and sooo relived <3 I missed this kind of interaction that comes with living in the Midwest and it was a really great first experience with being back home. Thank you!!!
Chelsey F. | First ImpressionsI had a ton of interactions with the staff at this location and only had two good experiences. The worst was when I had previously had a late payment. There was a UHaul lock on my storage unit, which I fully understand, but it wasn't taken off even weeks after I caught up the payment. An employee came up with me, told me he would go look for the key, and left me sitting there without returning for over a half hour. I left, and when I returned a couple of weeks after that, the lock was still there despite payments being all caught up. I was so relieved to get my things out of the storage unit and never deal with this location again.
