Our rental agent neglected to tell us that we had to drive over an hour to pick up our trailer rental. And that she could not guarantee we would have a trailer on the day we reserved it for. She also said it was a five day rental when it was only three.Katherine B.

I responded already and have had no response in return. We were given an old vehicle that was not road safe, multiple transmission and suspension issues as well as exhaust and steering. Your service agent in return simply agreed, that it was a vehicle with â€˜many issues'. Totally unacceptable, and made the moving experience terrible.Carrie B.

I experienced the worst customer service today at your Rutland location. The lady at the counter this morning was annoyed, visibly preturbed, down right cold, and dismissive. I really wanted to take my business elsewhere and would have if i wasnt on a tight schedule. I was displeased with how your employee represented your company. When returning the rental later in the day...the same emplotee received our return...and again expressed a cold and unwelcoming demeanor. Our "thank you" was met by silence. When I had an issue it was Impossible to get in touch with anyone at the Rutland location by phone, I kept getting routed back to customer service. Customer service told me a "manager would call me back" that never happened. Also marked unclean because there was a used face mask left in the vehicle. As far as customer service goes I talked to 4 individuals, 2 were unhelpful and rude, the other two were pleasant and very helpful.Travis D.
The staff did not seem to care about my returning of the equipment. Two of them chatted amongst themselves and I needed to excuse myself to get their attention. And then they didn't check in the truck, I got a call from U-Haul the day after I returned it asking where was the truck since it was due back.Eric S.

Vehicle was covered with ice and snow I had to spend 10 minutes just cleaning the snow off and ice. The tires were so poor in the basic North Country weather that I wasn't even able to get it out of my driveway. I called and told them that I had to hire somebody to get out of my driveway I never got to use the U-Haul. I finally got out of my driveway and returned it after the time that I wanted to use the vehicle because the landfill was closed. I will never rent another vehicle from you all. I feel it would be important to obtain a refund so I never got the use of the vehicle. I called your customer service and asked for assistance and it was very poor.Robert L.

It was convenient and easily assessable at any time. We were storing pump supply. So I was in and out a lot. The only draw back. Sometimes trucks or trailers were left in front of or close to our unit. If we need more storage in the future, we will be back.D&S Pumps S. | Overall Experience

Tell customers to be aware that this office is quick to assess extra charges. I was assessed a cleaning charge for some dirty footpints on the floor of the truck. My mistake was not taking any photos I guess...lesson learned. This is not the uhaul company I have rented from many times over the past 40 years.steven R.

To the Employees We are in a Pandemic . Wear a mask. Employees don't wear masks once out the door to hook up or get your rental. It's been 9 months people. If you go keep your distance because they do not care about your health. Even when I returned it with another employee still no mask.Paul F.

Jeff was great. Stopped in a day or so before I rented the trailer and he was great. Gave me all my options and the cost so I could think about what my needs were going to be. I think it was the next day I came back and he was like, which one did you choose? The process was very quick and we had it loaded up and me on my way early. I had allotted too much time for it actually. Jeff was very friendly and knowledgeable. When I dropped it off Kris was there, helped me back it in and unload it with zero issues. I don't know how this business stays in business. First I drove 50 miles Oct 9 to reserve a pick-up truck on a Friday ( reservation #81222924) to be sure to have it ready. I drove 50 more miles to get it on Monday Oct 12th and they said it was not returned by the former rentee. What is the point of a reservation if no one is going to call to say it was not returned? I spent the next 4 days calling in to see if it was returned and every call entailed at least a 10 minute hold whilst listening to U Haul commercials. Then I decided to give up on the pick up truck and rented a box truck for the same price per day. I picked it up on Monday Oct. 26 at 5:00. I was told the fuel would be full but it was less than a quarter tank. I told the guy Jeff Priest and he marked the gauge level on the paper. I filled the truck with $34.00 in their lot at the gas station whose driveway they share. I didn't realize until on the way home the mileage was off by some three thousand miles. I called Mr. Priest when I got home and he told me to write the mileage down before I drove it again which I did. I returned the truck on October 28th at about 5:00 where Mr. priest told me I had the wrong truck which after filling the fuel tank explained the fuel and the mileage differences. He corrected the mileage but he said he couldn't reimburse me for the $34 I spent to fill the truck before I left U-Haul on the 26th. I gave Mr. Priest the receipt for $34 which had the date and time clearly marked. He told me to call his boss the following day which I did but only to wait on hold for 10 minute while being forced to listen to their commercials again. When I spoke to Chris on Thursday Oct. 29th, I explained I was given the wrong truck and although the mileage was corrected that I wanted to be reimbursed for the fuel that I paid to fill the tank like it was supposed to be. He told me after resisting that he would reimburse me because it was their fault I was given the wrong truck. He told me it would take a few days to show up on my account. I never checked my account until today because I got emails saying U-Haul had made charges to my card. I was astonished to find 2 charges totaling over $900 on a $19.95 a day truck I had for two days. Because they are managed so bad at the Rutland VT office, they think I had the truck for 7 days I was told today (after a 10 minute wait on hold). I will never again spend a dime at this establishment and I would not recommend this place to anyone. I am contacting my credit card company to dispute the charges and I will fight U-Haul to make sure they reimburse me. Sickening. Sincerely, Steve Sgorbati 802-623-7554Steve S.

I dropped off my vehicle after hours on 10/29. Due to technical issues, I couldn't complete the mobile check out but I left the vehicle and dropped off the keys. The following morning my father in law stopped by the location to explain the situation. Despite this, the employees only checked in my truck rental and not my trailer rental. As of now, 10/31 my rental for the trailer is still active despite it being turned in 2 days ago. I have called customer service 5 times about the issue and they cannot reach the location to solve the problem.Ryan S.

It was initially hard to locate the vehicle on the lot. Took me a while to figure out what number was listed on the key chain and where it was on the truck.
