The manager, Demetrius Earle, single handedly (LITERALLY! His right is in a sling/cast) got the job done! He helped with the hook-up of the trailer and I witnessed him filling two (2) propane tanks for customers ahead of me. . .with one arm. Excellent service. He definitely is in need of another employee to help take the load off.
David BVery Connivant location, gas station next door to replenish the gas used. Service tech went over the truck with me and answered all my questions.
DARRELL GEasy to book. The van I used was easy to drive and didn't feel like a bulky van. Easy return.

GARDNR HImprove policies about guarantee truck pick up location from the original reservation and not changing the pickup location the day before to a further, more inconvenient, location. Very stressful when moving and a poor business plan.

John MThe overall experience was ok. I originally ordered the truck for 24 hours because I thought the job would take that long. However, with help I was able to get it done in 8. I returned the truck in 11 hours and I was still charged fir 24 hours. You should only charge someone for the time they use it. Other than that, they were nice, the store was clean, and the truck ran great.
LLOYD DEverything served its purpose. There was an issue with one of the axles or tires that I brought up when I returned it. It was there when I picked it up. Likely it was a bearing or a tire out of round or out of balance causing vibration at about 50 mph. The attendant when I returned the trailer noted it.

ADA Rdidn't go inside so don't know about store. guy was super nice. had the blankets folded up and in bags-he said "thanks!" chatted with us for a bit so i got to tell him about the ride and how well the truck rode.
SUSAN BYour computer system needs improvement. Your workers have to use their own cell phones and it always seems to be down when I'm renting.

MICHAEL BThis was my second appointment to have a hitch installed. The first was set up online and when arrived at the scheduled time I was told they had neither the part nor the installer available and that Arizona does all the scheduling but often does not know their inventory (I asked whether or not they could see their online part inventory but the answer was not clear). I was told the manager would call me on Monday about this and reschedule but that did not happen. This appointment I had Arizona call the Rutland branch to confirm both that both the part and availability of the installer; Rutland confirmed both. Arriving at my 10:05 for my 10:15 appointment, I was informed they just put another car in the bay but could I come back later. Upon returning around 11:00, I waited in the vacant office for 10 minutes until an employee came in. He informed me he was nearly done with the current hitch installment and would have my car in there in 4 minutes. At noon I once again returned to a vacant office and saw my vehicle had yet to be worked on. An hour later I received a call informing me the hitch (I had asked for only the hitch, no wiring) was complete.

Helen LThe truck we rented had a broken gas gauge. We didn't realize this until we filled the gas tank and it remained at half a tank just as it was on pickup. Could have run out of gas at anytime. Scary thought!

MIKE PI was very disappointed with UHAUL. I reserved a 26 foot truck weeks in advance. Two days before my pick up I received a message saying my truck will be available for pick up in Springfield Vermont. This location is close to an hour and a half away from the Rutland Vermont location, that is a 3 hour round trip. And there didn't seem to be an issue with this with the representative I talked to about it. I was then told the only truck I could pick up was a 20 foot one. This is 6 feet less than what I originally reserved. That being said, while I was picking up the 20 foot truck, I was explaining my dilemma to the representative in Rutland, that I will not be able to fit all my belongings in a 20 footer, that is why I reserved a 26 foot truck in the first place, in which she said she will give me another day and extended mileage. I said great that will work. As all was done and she was ready for my payment. She didn't give me anything, there was an extra day added along with the rental of dollys and insurance. Oh by the way she also tried to charge me for 3 days of insurance. I was shocked that she tried to play the SHELL game with me. Instead of less than 200 dollars it was over 400 dollars. This in my book is fraud. Especially with the added day of insurance. At least I am in the same state, it will be two hour drive back to Rutland, load up the rest of my things, a two hour drive back home, to unload it. It also costed me an extra months rent on my storage facility as well. So let's see what this change in my rental will cost me. $140.00 storage rental 4 hours drive time @ 30 an hour x 2= 240.00 2 hours loading @ 80 an hour x 2= 320.00 2 hours unloading @ 80 an hour x 2= 320.00 Which brings a total of $1080.00 I believe this would be a fair estimate of what this change has cost me. I have made a copy of this review, I would like a response as soon as possible. How does UHAUL plan to make this right? Thank you for your help with this matter.

EDWARD BThe tire monitor light kept coming on something they knew about but failed to tell me. The location I wanted to pick up at had nothing available but I saw trucks in the yard I put 80 miles over my planned. And the van does not hold a queen bed as advertised.
Cyndi AI reserved a van online because I didn't need anything big for what I needed to move, and when I got there they said all they had was a 15 foot truck. I told them that was much bigger than what I needed and I didn't want to have to pay extra for it. They said that's fine we will charge you the same as we would for the 9ft van. I did the exact same move I did a moth earlier with a 9 ft van, and this time I got charged $130 more, so they lied about charging the same.

Donna LPeople worked hard to get me what I needed, but the last change per agent deleted a day of reservation by mistake. Another agent added the day at no extra cost so my original reservation times were restored. The mix up caused me a lot of stress, but I appreciate the fix of the lost day.

I have always made my payments, the whole 9 yards. When I went to go and get my Christmas tree and decorations, I opened the unit and started seeing mice traps placed all over uhaul and no one ever called or informed me of a rat or mice infestation. When I opened the bin that was in my unit, my white tree was yellow and the tree as well as the bin was filled with mice feces, urine and a load of rice! Same wit my decorations box. When I called the Rutland uhaul to notify them the manager was so RUDE!! saying I was making this stuff up and so on! So I stopped paying my bills hoping to get someone's attention, only attention given was if u want to abandon the unit or auction! I told higher up about the incident they were jus concerned about money they didn't care about MY hard earned money paying for the unit as well as MY personal belongings inside! Paying HUNDREDS of dollars a month you expect your items not to be completely ruined! I paid off both accounts and have moved out of the large unit, coming back to do the same wit the smaller one. The manager of rutland uhaul is the biggest joke I've ever did business with! I will not talk to him or do any other business with uhaul. Which is really sad cuz I have rented with you guys multiple times and have multiple units! I also have many family and friends that do business as well. We will be taking our business elsewhere, with a company in Mendon. I'm glad to be cutting ties! The one thing i will say is the Travelimg Manager, I believe his name is Peter, from NY, that man was a gentleman, helping any way he could! He went out of his way , above and beyond to help me get everything situated to move out all my belongings. I even told him about the manager and he let me know that multiple customers complain about him! Don't you think you guys should do something? I will be reaching out to my lawyer in regards to all my damaged property. If a supervisor could reach out it would be appreciated. Thanks Candace Covell (802) 353-7816

The interface within UHaul obviously very poor. We should not be getting "late fees" and "late bills". We did all as planned/requested. Please stop forwarding me bills and additional charges. OK, then I rented a cargo van to transport my stuff to new house (moved from Cleveland to Vermont) and when I rented the van, I got emails promoting a free month of storage with my truck rental. That seemed backwards to me, having gotten the units first and not told about the deal? Also, I paid for a portion of August as I moved in the third week, then the entire month of September, but I emptied the units on 9/12. DO I GET A REFUND on the rest of the month? The lovely people at the store said they were booked and so happy I was opening up units for other customers. HELLO. I paid more in the first place because the one 10x10 unit I needed was rented out from under me. Then I did not occupy for the full term. Please advise. sara l | Overall ExperienceThe facility had a pipe burst they took half of my stuff out and never returned it back to the unit. The insurance company that is over my claim is taking forever to keep in touch with me and re-issue my money back for the stuff that was thrown away. I would not recommend using U-Haul ever again it was the worst Experience. When I got there to try to clean out my storage unit I had trouble with the lock politely went in there and ask for help and was told they are not allowed to help me I said to the lady I'm trying to clean out my unit I need help the lock will not open her boss said we have to call locksmith I said no you do not I have a code I will not open was very disrespectful going back-and-forth with me the Lady was just trying to help but her boss was very rude and disrespectful I would not recommend them ever again to anybody. The customer service just to get to the main location takes hours of waiting just to sit here and talk about something that Customer can't help u with.And customer service tells you to go to the location if you do not have a car how are you going to get to the Flippin location does not make sense.

She was very helpful, thoughtful in helping get the right size storage unit that I need. Even though Jeffrey did not follow the plan Danielle and I had made, Danielle was able to make everything work for our needs. She was amazing on the phone giving me options of not having to unpack a uhaul after being on the road for 3 days and with a broken foot. This lady is a true godsend!! Couldn't find a better person to help with your customers. Give her the utmost rating 10 out of 5. She goes way beyond to ensure customer satisfaction. You are truly blessed to have her working for Uhaul!!!

We have a heated unit, but it doesn't do any good if you can't get inside to your things. Paid for another month and the guy never apologized or gave us a discount for not being able to access our things and having to pay a friend to store some of our belongings because we couldn't get in to the unit.

I think they should have not Rented that unit out until it was cleaned the black spot on the floor was really a disappointment. I am kind of iffy if I would recommend this to someone else. Because like I said the storage had A black spot. To even open the storage unit was very hard. I had to physically go get the manager to show me how to open it. They should give you directions in the handbook to show me how to open the storage units.And others to know how do use the unit and close the unit.
