Vehicle was covered with ice and snow I had to spend 10 minutes just cleaning the snow off and ice. The tires were so poor in the basic North Country weather that I wasn't even able to get it out of my driveway. I called and told them that I had to hire somebody to get out of my driveway I never got to use the U-Haul. I finally got out of my driveway and returned it after the time that I wanted to use the vehicle because the landfill was closed. I will never rent another vehicle from you all. I feel it would be important to obtain a refund so I never got the use of the vehicle. I called your customer service and asked for assistance and it was very poor.

It was convenient and easily assessable at any time. We were storing pump supply. So I was in and out a lot. The only draw back. Sometimes trucks or trailers were left in front of or close to our unit. If we need more storage in the future, we will be back.

Tell customers to be aware that this office is quick to assess extra charges. I was assessed a cleaning charge for some dirty footpints on the floor of the truck. My mistake was not taking any photos I guess...lesson learned. This is not the uhaul company I have rented from many times over the past 40 years.

I will say every time I rent a truck the customer service isn't the best. They act like I'm inconveniencing them by being there. My service this time was better than the past but a smile and more pleasant demeanor would help.

To the Employees We are in a Pandemic . Wear a mask. Employees don't wear masks once out the door to hook up or get your rental. It's been 9 months people. If you go keep your distance because they do not care about your health. Even when I returned it with another employee still no mask.

Jeff was great. Stopped in a day or so before I rented the trailer and he was great. Gave me all my options and the cost so I could think about what my needs were going to be. I think it was the next day I came back and he was like, which one did you choose? The process was very quick and we had it loaded up and me on my way early. I had allotted too much time for it actually. Jeff was very friendly and knowledgeable. When I dropped it off Kris was there, helped me back it in and unload it with zero issues. Kris is a great guy, and I really enjoyed the experience. Thank you Main Street Rutland Uhaul.

I don't know how this business stays in business. First I drove 50 miles Oct 9 to reserve a pick-up truck on a Friday ( reservation #81222924) to be sure to have it ready. I drove 50 more miles to get it on Monday Oct 12th and they said it was not returned by the former rentee. What is the point of a reservation if no one is going to call to say it was not returned? I spent the next 4 days calling in to see if it was returned and every call entailed at least a 10 minute hold whilst listening to U Haul commercials. Then I decided to give up on the pick up truck and rented a box truck for the same price per day. I picked it up on Monday Oct. 26 at 5:00. I was told the fuel would be full but it was less than a quarter tank. I told the guy Jeff Priest and he marked the gauge level on the paper. I filled the truck with $34.00 in their lot at the gas station whose driveway they share. I didn't realize until on the way home the mileage was off by some three thousand miles. I called Mr. Priest when I got home and he told me to write the mileage down before I drove it again which I did. I returned the truck on October 28th at about 5:00 where Mr. priest told me I had the wrong truck which after filling the fuel tank explained the fuel and the mileage differences. He corrected the mileage but he said he couldn't reimburse me for the $34 I spent to fill the truck before I left U-Haul on the 26th. I gave Mr. Priest the receipt for $34 which had the date and time clearly marked. He told me to call his boss the following day which I did but only to wait on hold for 10 minute while being forced to listen to their commercials again. When I spoke to Chris on Thursday Oct. 29th, I explained I was given the wrong truck and although the mileage was corrected that I wanted to be reimbursed for the fuel that I paid to fill the tank like it was supposed to be. He told me after resisting that he would reimburse me because it was their fault I was given the wrong truck. He told me it would take a few days to show up on my account. I never checked my account until today because I got emails saying U-Haul had made charges to my card. I was astonished to find 2 charges totaling over $900 on a $19.95 a day truck I had for two days. Because they are managed so bad at the Rutland VT office, they think I had the truck for 7 days I was told today (after a 10 minute wait on hold). I will never again spend a dime at this establishment and I would not recommend this place to anyone. I am contacting my credit card company to dispute the charges and I will fight U-Haul to make sure they reimburse me. Sickening. Sincerely, Steve Sgorbati 802-623-7554

I dropped off my vehicle after hours on 10/29. Due to technical issues, I couldn't complete the mobile check out but I left the vehicle and dropped off the keys. The following morning my father in law stopped by the location to explain the situation. Despite this, the employees only checked in my truck rental and not my trailer rental. As of now, 10/31 my rental for the trailer is still active despite it being turned in 2 days ago. I have called customer service 5 times about the issue and they cannot reach the location to solve the problem.

It was initially hard to locate the vehicle on the lot. Took me a while to figure out what number was listed on the key chain and where it was on the truck. Would ask you to include license plate info as well or make sure to tell people were to look for the unit number to avoid them walking around the lot.

We were a bit scared that we were going to be charged for that situation when we didn't quite exactly know when the trailer that was behind us was close to the one we were backing up. I was disappointed by what I feel was a bait and switch situation that ultimately cost me a lot more in rental fees (and miles driven) than I initially counted on. Long story short, I originally made a reservation to pick up a truck near my home in Londonderry, VT for a trip to Manchester, VT, only about 15 miles away. I even received a confirmation email to that effect when I made the reservation. However, less than a half hour later, without my asking for it, I received a mysterious email from U-Haul unilaterally changing the pickup location for the truck from Londonderry to Rutland, VT. Because picking up the truck in Rutland when I was already in Londonderry would add almost 100 extra miles (and a lot more expense) to the overall rental, I tried calling U-Haul's 800 number to get this corrected. I was placed on hold for what seemed like an eternity only to be told that there would be no trucks available for me at the Londonderry location at all. So, I reluctantly agreed to the change in location. Many extra driving miles later (at $0.79 extra PER MILE), I completed my chore in renting the truck and, out of curiosity, I decided to drive by the Londonderry rental place to make sure it had no trucks, as I had been informed would be the case. Imagine my surprise when I say an identical truck on the Londonderry lot that looked like it would have been available for my pickup that same day. Now, of course, it is possible that there was something wrong with that particular truck making it unrentable, but that is not what I was told. Nor was I given any reason in the superseding email as to why the pickup location was changed, without my initial consent, from Londonderry to Rutland. Overall, I was very disappointed in the quality of service that I encountered in making the reservation -- although the actual rental of the truck was not a problem. I feel that I was definitely overcharged (my final bill was about $110 when it should not have been more than $40) and, but for the fact that Pennske and Rider truck rentals are even more distant from my home than U-Haul, I will have to think twice about ever renting from U-Haul again in Vermont.

I couldn't use the trailer for everything i wanted to, because the tires where in really bad shape. At drop off the rep did take pictures and said they would contact the GM about it. The tires looked extremely old and very little tread. I did not want to take it more then 40 mph due to this. Very disappointing.

Everyone at the Rutland VT uhaul were extremely helpful. Especially Kendra and the manager Chris went above and beyond to work with us after moving from Virginia and falling on some unforeseen circumstances. I will always remember the help and understanding they gave us during a difficult move.

Your reservation system is terrible. Made two reservations for me, switched one to a further location, then cancelled it once actually completed one of the reservation. It was a roller coaster. I never knew if I will have the right truck at the right location. The pick up and drop off locations were all right, but your central reservation is terrible. You get NOT a single star. I will never use U-Haul again!!
