I don’t think it was the fault of the location, but the trailer did not pull well. It was like dragging an lead block behind the truck the whole way. It might be time to check out the axles, wheel bearing, or see if the axles are in line with one another. Other than that I had a great experience with this location and the employees working there.

I could not find anyone in the building for a while. Finally I went to the back door and found someone to hand me the keys. The app was not very good, and I still needed assistance from a person.

The trailer was a bit dated. When I dropped it off I noticed that there were much newer trailers the same size which rode lower.

When we called the Rutland location, I was concerned we would not have a truck or movers on the anticipated day of our move. We were assured that one would be available for us. James recommended us to the website to book moving help and the process was so smooth. Upon returning the equipment to the location and returning home, we realized we had forgot a moving pad among our things. We called the store immediately just before closing and they were willing to let us drop it off the next day, after what would have been our return time, without any penalty. We would work with Uhaul of Rutland again.

It was a busy Saturday afternoon, and there was only one person working. When he answered the phone he was very short and said he was very busy and couldn’t talk, and he seemed very busy when I was there.

This is the second time I have an issue with this location. The first time they accused me of dropping a truck off late. The truck was dropped off on time and had a receipt. I called the manger three times and he never called me back to discuss Today when I dropped of the truck I asked the manager when he didn't call me back and he said he never received the message. I told him that that was his problem and not mine My punishment was a 20 dollar cleaning truck for a truck I returned in the same condition How is this remotely ethical I would like the are manager to call me at 646-734-2851 to discuss Jensons was awesome Rutland was horrific

the truck i ordered, a 26 foot truck, was not available because the key was missing. i had to use a 20 foot truck which meant i had to use a van and pickup truck in addition to the u-haul to move the set pieces for a youth theater production.

Check-out and return were easy. Communication was easy through the website. Expectations of what the renter should be aware of were clearly communicated. The cost was reasonable. The equipment was clean and functional. My only quibble was the previous driver must have smoked a few packs of cigarettes . Strong smoke smell in a very low mileage vehicle. Overall,a very positive experience.

I was dismissed by the man and told someone would be out to speak to my husband. After waiting in our car for at least 10-15 my husband exited to find someone. Only then did the man in the store put his coat on to come out. The Uhaul worker arrived moments later. Poor poor customer service. To their credit once they engaged with us the experience was pleasant. As the woman who rented the vehicle and was responsible for it, being summarily dismissed speaks volumes about your organization. I’ve rented Uhaul many times this was by far the worst experience from start to finish. We returned the vehicle 24 hours before it was due, I got a call today the day it was due asking if i’d Returned it and when I said yes they asked where? I had a receipt that was sent to me noting all that information the received another almost 36 hours later with completely wrong information, a return date and time 8 hours after the original contract time. Poor poor poor

There was a chip in the window and they said that they sent me a link to over check the truck and never received it and now I'm being charged for it

Tires need replacing, difficult to reverse in the snow On flat ground because of it and transmission fuel leak. Minimal impact on experience. Just a maintenance note for the future. Rest of the vehicle in good shape and very clean

I dealt with the man I charge of this location and he was amazing. Respectful thorough he answered all of my questions and made sure I understood everything before leaving.. He was prompt and treated me like I was a regular client. Very impressed made the process so easy and stress free when moving it is nice to not have to worry.

Truck was comfortable and I got relatively good gas mileage. Had room in the cab for my personal gear, multiple 12 volt outlets and three cup holders. 10 foot truck was the right size for everything I had to pack despite not taking into account tire wells and a vent. Blankets I rented were neatly folded and well worth the $5 fee to rent six.

I did not appreciate one of the associates working there calling my partner a "pirate" because of his eye patch he has to wear due to medical need. While he went along with it for sake of easibility, it was incredibly rude and upset it him.

Charged way over the quote( $185 over), unfortunately I couldn't argue it.. I had driven 3 hours to help move my mother with others who had taken the day off. My time is limited, and I needed a truck. Thankfully my needs for a truck, or trailer are done. I wouldn't recommend uhaul.

Nothing about the experience was good or bad. I rented after a snow and the trailer had 4-5 inches of snow and ice on it along with the grit and salt kicked up by the previous towing vehicle. I didn't expect the crew to clean it off, but I did have some reservations about sheets of ice slinging off at the passing vehicles, which could be dangerous.

I had a tow hitch installed before I picked up the trailer from the same store, the wiring harness some how came loose in S Jersey on my way to florida, it was dragging underneath the car from the front bumper to the back. So end result I drove from S Jersey to Florida with no trailer lights and now I have to go back to store down here for the repair

I was charged a cleaning fee of $25 for a truck that was much cleaner than I had received it. I reported that the parking brake did not hold the truck. VERY UNSAFE! I had to drive an hour out of my way to pick up the truck because I was told that the other location did not have trucks. I was supposed to have a dolly. They send me an hour back to the original rental location to get a dolly. (They had a lot of trucks available). I was told that they didn’t have any one way trucks but then they sent a local truck for a one way trip across state lines. This is not acceptable.

I would use U-haul again just not in same area, due to not allowing my vehicle which had a factory installed 4 wheel drive and heavy duty towing pkg (not allowed) nor ford f150 (light problem?). Just to tow a vehicle less than 40 miles total! I then rented a truck and trailer and was charged double! THANK YOU to customer service who was very nice and will change price to 1 day regular. But more problems in total and I would not go there again

Some thought on snow tires. Area serviced is Rutland Vermont and areas local to that. We are in the snow belt. Vehicles without winter tires are dangerous to your clients and others drivers on the road.
