The GOOD: All the employees that I interacted with on both ends of my move were outstanding. Everyone of them was courteous and helpful when issues arose. The box we used worked well. It's made of plywood, but was quite sturdy, and came with a heavy canvas covering. The BAD: The website/software. I tried entering necessary information from multple devices which wasn't accepted, causing a delay in my getting the U-Box. Then, when the filled U-Box was being dropped off at the final location, the delivery person's program started glitching, showing that I had an empty box to pickup, that I wanted the box the was being dropped off to be picked up the next day, and not showing any of the deliveries that had already been done. Overall: My experience was a good one. If someone asked, I would feel comfortable recommending U-Haul's U-Boxes.Jeanne Y.

I was not informare that the signature pads needed to be returned, after I was done taking all the boxes out of the U-box the pads were wet, soggy, and ripped so I discarded them in the garbage. Only to be later informed they were going to charge me for them. Please make it clear in the future that the pads need to be returned and remind people about it.Juan G.

You can update the truck. The mirror on the truck was held up with newspaper, and the truck jumped so back it had me and my passenger jerking. This was the worst experience I have experience with UHAUL truckingLnya M.

The locations on Michaud, Lapalco, and Tulane were all extremely unhelpful. We were sold products that would have killed us and if it wasn't for the ladies at the Gentilly location, we would have left with a trailer that wasn't built for our car and a faulty towing hitch. If possible, when dropping off UHaul property, there should be a way to determine your amount due. Pay it as you park the property and drop the keys in the Dropbox. Btwâ€¦. The truck's left sideview mirror was damaged and the transmission didn't sound so good while down shifting, which had me worried while driving. However, the reaction of the gentleman working at the equipment return dock was nothing short of professional. He was very kind and polite as he wrote down my issues and assured me that the truck would be taken care of. He was incredibly helpful with my questions and left me with a much better experience at U-haul. Sadly, I did not get his name, but it should be easy to find out who was working that day. The dolly they connected to my vehicle did not match the dolly number on my contract. It was pouring down rain and we agreed to use it anyway. When I got the text link to verify our hookup equipment it would not let me post the information. It said it had expiredRUSSELL M.

Didn't walk out to truck to verify anything. I had to dispute 2 pics and the gas gauge and upload pics for proof. Even after doing this it still was not corrected and I was incorrectly charged an additional $47 for gas. To make matters worse, the link to verify my rental return only led to my receipt so I couldn't verify and was charged an extra $20 for that even though I returned a day early. I spent over 40 minutes on hold with 1-800- go- uhaul and still didn't get any customer service. I also called the return location only to be told they can't do anything on their end.JODI S.

Whoever checked my truck in, LIED. STRAIGHT LIED. NO THAT PERSON DID NOT MAKE A MISTAKE. I DROPPED MY EQUIPMENT OFF BEFORE THERE STORE WAS OPEN AND I WAS CHARGED A LATE FEE OF 20.00 DOLLARS THAT WAS NOT RETURNED. I WAD CHARGED FOR A EXTRA DAY OF RENTAL FEE AND INSURANCE WHICH WAS REFUNDED. I'M JUST UPSET THAT A SERVICE REP AT UHAUL WOULD ATTEMPT SUCH A FEAT ASSUMING THAT THE CUSTOMER (ME) WOULD NOT CHECK MY RECEIPT. THERE'S NO TELLING HOW MANY PEOPLE HAVE BEEN TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF. I told the Manager that I may not need the storage unit after all and ask if I could get a refund the next day if I didn't use the storage unit I was told no. When I went to take my lock off the unit a couple of days ago a gentleman told me that he had never heard of that and I should have been able to get my money back. Somebody lied to me. You really need to improve your online and in person communication. I was constantly opening links to requests by you that did not go anywhere, such as reviewing my contract and providing pictures of the site where the box would be dropped. We were confirmed for a certain day that the box would be dropped off in New Orleans, but we were never given a time. My daughter waited outside most of the day for the box to come. Not until late in the afternoon did she find out that her scheduled window for that day was 2-4pm, and then the driver did not show up until 6:30pm. Never any communication from the driver until she arrived and said "sorry I'm a bit late". It mader the entire experience very stressful. After the first day, however, I was pleased to see there were constant updates as to the status of the box. The Moving Help movers on both ends were excellent!jean F.

This was the worst experience I have ever had with U haul and I will not be supporting the company anymore, I will also never recommend your company and I have shared my negative experience with others. I was having electrical problems with my house so I rented a storage unit because the house needed to be rewired and I had to relocate, the next day the house caught on fire, I never even had a chance to move into the unit, after finding somewhere to go and dealing with the stress of a house fire I called back U haul to try and get a refund for the unit I never moved into because I had to pay the deposit on the house I found, it had been about 4 days and I called multiple times but kept being told to call back, they refused to give me a refund for the unit I never moved into because they said it had been past 24 hours. After all the support I have given U haul in my life you all showed no sympathy or compassion for someone who was going though a hard time and just trying to get a refund. that $100 was severely needed and I had to go without food for almost a week because everything I had went towards a deposit on a new house, you all made a bad situation for me so much worse. Your company is completely out of touch with the people your supposed to be providing a service for, your 24 hour refund policy combined with the overpriced storage units is ridiculous and just greedy. going forward I would rather go out of my way to find real people to help me move and I will find alternative storage units because a company as out of touch as U haul does not deserve the support of the people and I will make sure to let as many people know about this horrible experience as I canCHRISTINA H. | Overall Experience
