I did not have an issue with the location, the service at the location was excellent. I had an issue with the online check-in representative. My pick-up time for the truck was 6:00AM central time and the representative had me take a photo of my drivers license 4 times and a selfie 4 times. I do understand we don't always look exactly like our pictures on the drivers license but the resemblance was there. It took me about an hour to facilitate the process and wait until the Gentilly U-Haul store opened to retrieve the truck. I do think the online check-in process should be streamlined and made much easier and user-friendlier. The overall experience was not very great.

we were told the $14 insurance rate was one time fee but it was daily employee should know how often we would be billed train them aslo door stuck that was raised was told it happens sometimes well it was pouring down raining and it took awhile to get up with three men pulling it down we should not have had that truck adjustment????

The staff was nice, but this experience was a nightmare. Thanks for making my move hell on earth, U-Haul. My U-Box was guaranteed to arrive in Maryland on the 12th. I drove up to Baltimore from New Orleans and went to my apartment, only to realize my U-Box was nowhere to be found. The faculty and staff at this location and in Maryland had absolutely no idea when it would arrive. First, they said the evening of the 13th. It didn’t arrive then. Then they said the afternoon of the 14th, it didn’t arrive then either. We showed up IN PERSON to the Baltimore location on the 15th only to discover the Ubox had just arrived, and they did not plan on delivering it til MONDAY!! We decided to deliver the Ubox to my apartment ourselves!! My movers I scheduled for the 13th could not make it that day, so I had to book new movers. U-Haul, you BETTER be giving me a refund for my movinghelp.com order I DID NOT USE because your U-Box arrived 3 DAYS LATE!! You also BETTER refund me the Ubox delivery fee as I picked up the box from the Pulaski location MYSELF!! In this time period, since my apartment had NO FURNITURE, we had to book hotels for those nights. We stayed on the phone with customer service for HOURS AND HOURS—LITERALLY, going from person to person, and NOT A SINGLE PERSON KNEW WHERE OUR UBOX WAS NOR WHEN IT WOULD ARRIVE. U-Haul, you are unprofessional, disrespectful, and downright unethical for doing this. This process was stressful and your customer service is, for lack of better term, absolute GARBAGE. This review is not of the staff at the UHaul in New Orleans, but of the company and it’s staff responsible for delivery of my UBox. To everyone reading, for your sake and dignity, stay away from this horrendous company. They don’t care about you or your valuable time, and will keep you on hold for hours and hours and frustrated beyond measure.

I tried to everything via my mobile phone, but that was a disaster. I assumed it would be faster than going to the counter, but I was wrong. I submitted pictures and information online and waited for approval that never came. I even tried the direct message feature and no one responded. The lady at the counter eventually processed everything and I was all set after that.

I am a faithful customer to Uhaul. The truck I was rented was in horrible condition. The truck need a serious front wheel alignment. It drove horribly and barely shift into gear. I was extremely frustrated and disappointed. I will be calling the location with my complaint

This was my first time renting a uhual truck and the last time.When I came in the clerk should have explained the rules of the cost of over the mileage.He didn’t tell me what my mileage was or nothing.He handed me a lil booklet I thought it was something I keep in the uhual Incase of a accident or if police was to pull me over.Instead he didn’t tell me what it was for and I find that very unprofessional I will never rent a uhual ever again especially not on chef Menteur Hwy.So I was over Charged basically cause of him not explaining to me

When someone orders a uhaul online, there needs to be a prompt to adv us to refill the tank. There was no notice of this and we were charged.
