Staff was helpful and polite. Tried calling location prior to arrival but unable to reach anyone to answer the phone with an automated stated wait time of over an hour to be able to speak to someone at this location. Inside of the trailer was still dirty from previous client use. Smelled of livestock or fertilizer. Return was easy and simple. Staff were overall helpful.

The mobile pickup is useless. I have rented from this location four times before, yet the past three times I've picked up with mobile, my driver's license has to be verified. Why?? How long does that take? There is no information on the screen telling me that “someone” has to look at my credentials. Please improve this. Other than UHaul corporate's mess on the pick up, this location is great. I pass three other UHaul partner locations on my way to this one because it's so much better than the others.

When I arrived, the unit I had reserved online was not available. Full disclosure, my reservation was for Saturday; 3/28, but I did not check in until Sunday, 3/29. The online system and the store location did not have the same information. The unit I reserved was not available. A 10x10 unit was recommended which I took at the higher rate. During my move in, the storage room was barely able to hold my belongings. I wasn't able to fit everything in the storage unit and ended up having to secure other means of storage. Overall, make sure the online system is up to date. Also, the cashier did give a discount because of the inconvenience; however, the lack of space in the unit recommended by the gentlemen was insufficient.

Dropped off after hours. Couldn't get uhaul's online drop off verification to work. Kept saying it couldn't locate my reservation. Called and spoke with someone who said they were making a note of the problem. Prior to this I called 1-800-go-uhaul and got permission to keep the truck a little longer than the original drop off time. I called next day to make sure everything was taken care of and found out I was charged additional money. Company states they had no record of me speaking with anyone on either occasion even though when you call in it says you're phone call is being recorded. Total scam! Had permission from uhaul to keep truck until 8pm instead of returning that morning by 10a due to severe weather etc. Returned truck by 6pm but still got charged for another whole day and another whole day of their insurance that I didn't want in the first place even after getting permission. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE ALL THE WAY AROUND!! Go with another company. Save yourself the headache!

I personally think for a 4 day rental 331 is extremely high. When I talked with the lady she told me 78 dollars for 2 days so that would be 156. 88 dollars in miles and then 56 in insurance

Prior to visiting this location, I was warned that management was racist by former customers. I ignored the warning and decided to secure a UHAUL through this location despite the warning. I take responsiblity for choosing the wrong return time in error. I chose 5 am and not 5 pm on Saturday 3/13/21. I was in a hurry when I made the reservation online. That however does not excuse the rude, unprofessional threatening tone and harsh language used by management regarding my error. My emergency contact was spoken to very rudely and called me very upset about the way she had been spoken to by a female employee. I then called UHAUL to explain my error at which time I was told to bring the truck back NOW and reprimanded like a chile regarding how much money I was causing this location to lose. I know that if I was caucasian this would have never happened. The PROPER way to handle this would have been " Ms. Spears, the UHAUL ws due back @ 5AM this morning, I was calling in reference to that". At which time we could have calmly reached a resolution. I have NEVER received this type of POOR SERVICE from any business. You would think I was his teenage daughter and had borrowed his car without permission. I will NEVER use this location or UHAUL again.

Make sure the locations are opened when they are supposed to be. There was a uhaul location in my town, but it wasn't opened. Therefore I had to drive 30-40 minutes away to pick up a uhaul to go 15 minutes from my home. The Florence location was very clean and the associate took very good care of us

First, this store first canceled my reservation without contacting me. Second, when I attempted to call to the tell them I was running late, no one answered the phone. Lastly, I have been with this store for 6 years and when I returned my Uhaul Van because my truck was canceled, I returned my Van the same day at 5:20 pm (after hours) less than 24 hrs with more gas which was given to me, and less miles which was estimated. This location had the audacity to charge me a $20 convenience fee.

Renting a Uhaul Truck is an extremely expensive experience! Especially when returning to another state. I spent over $600 on the truck, $200 on gas and even more on tolls!!! I returned the truck a day early and with 100 miles less than the allotted amount and here it is 4 days later And I am still waiting for the refund! This amount of time is ridiculous as It didn't take 5 days for them to remove the funds from my card, I shouldn't have to wait to get my money back. It would be smarter to return it in cash instead of making a person wait days!

Alissa the cashier at the store on Irby Street. She was very rude and unprofessional. Neither associates had a mask on when it is a requirement to do so. Both associates were having a conversation with each other about pulling the other person hair chin out in front of me. The uhaul was not clean and they lied about the gas handle amount. Alisa is rude and I will not recommend going to uhaul in Florence to get a rental.

So, my only problem with this location, was that I was not sure where the office was. I entered from Irby street and had to wonder around to find the office. The young lady who greeted me here was very nice and efficient. We did not spend a lot of wasted time with her. I think that is really important because, like me, people will often be tired and ready to have their move over when they get to the drop off location.

Our truck was at another location approx .25 mile away. The store clerk was kind enough to go retrieve it for us but if the store wasn't open, we would have been wondering just where the truck was.

Payment device wasn't working they had to enter my debit card manually as a credit.Agent got my drivers license and agent appeared to use personal phone to enter my image of my license. I believe I did this myself with my phone when I rented a box truck a few years ago. Just some security concerns. Rented truck for a few hours to move furniture. Final Bill 103.15 kind of pricey for just one county drive and back. I made sure truck was full as it was when I rented it and swept it out. Highly disappointed this time.😡

Facility staff were very polite and went out of their way to help. Supervisor was snarky and had an overall pessimistic attitude. U-Haul computer system had an E-Alert on me for no reason at all and THEY MADE *ME* CALL 1-800-UHAUL TO CLEAR IT!!  Storage unit was up a flight of stairs and no freight elevator. Worst storage experience ever.

Overall it was average. I placed a reservation the night before for a unit and was packed and there for move in. Only to be told the unit I reserved still had merchandise from previous client. I was told by a rude African American, very unprofessional at the job that she spoke with the manager and I would have to come back after the client moved their belongings out. Of course this was not okay with me so she involved Larry which seems like he has to handle everything. Several customers waiting to be served and 3 employees, Larry being one and the only one trying to help everyone. He took me and got me a unit and I was able to move my stuff in. Thankful he was there. Oh,and I was told I got a free month for the inconvenience but they were doing that anyway for all renters....overall turned out okay.

Larry (Irby St. Florence, SC) was very helpful in finding the size storage unit to fit my needs. He walked us through the building and let us see actual units that were available and allowed me to choose between those. I wanted one on ground level, however one wasn't available but he located one that was right at the top of the stairs with a large door for easier access to load and unload large pieces of furniture. He was very polite and courteous. He answered any questions that I had even prior to me asking them. After renting the unit, he walked us back over to explain to us how to use the access key and then showed me how to put the lock on the door that I was also able to purchase from him. Excellent experience if you're needing a storage unit.

There were so many roaches and roach eggs throughout my unit. Spiderwebs came with that, so the eggs were stuck every where. The unit was nice outside of the pest issue.
