Our appointment was for 8 AM. We drove 1 1/2 hours from our home in Myrtle Beach to get to this location, only to be told the technician doesn't get into work until 1:30 PM. The manager, Brett could care less. He actually turned his back on me and walked away when I was questioning how this happened. Basically, my wife and I had to sit in our car for over 5 hours to have this installed. Totally unacceptable. But I will praise the tech that installed our hitch. He was done in 30 minutes without a scratch on our vehicle. Overall, this location AND manager are a joke.

Getting the Ubox dropped off in the beginning was a Horror show. Very unprofessional and Clueless. I had to make many calls just to receive excuses for the late delivery. I feel I had to run the whole ordeal. I thought Uhaul was suppose to help me with the move. Never will I go through this again.

Make sure the location on the website actually installs hitches. I went to the location I booked online and they had the hitch and the wiring but they did not do installation. Online it said that location could do the installation but it could not. I had to take the hitch and wiring to a second location to get it installed.

The service was fantastic. However, the facility was poor. The entrance is confusing, and I felt like I was walking through a warehouse. The service desk is at the back of the "warehouse" and completely hidden behind stacks of folded carboard boxes. However, their service was great!

The only problem here was that our unit is on the 2nd floor with no elevator. We had to go up 10 stairs with everything. Being elderly made this difficult.

The odometer read X number and reality was Y number. I uploaded the pictures BEFORE boarding the truck yet, i had to pay for the extra 12 miles. Why do we have a "pre-boarding the truck procedure" if at the end we will pay Whatever U-haul wishes.

This is the fourth time I have gotten to the drop off location or the pick up location and been told that I was at the wrong place. The text system did not come through. A phone call would be nice since most are in transit. I have rented multiple times in the last three months and will not use U-haul again. Locations are great but system is not working!!!

First off, when I called to arrange renting a u haul box, I had to go through at least 4 people to explain the logistics and cost of renting a box. the drop-off and pick up in New York was done correctly and timely.HOWEVER, when the box was shipped to South Carolina, things fell apart. the box was shipped to Florence SC instead of Myrtle Beach due to LACK OF SPACE at the Myrtle Beach depot. My box was supposed to be delivered to my home on Nov.3. it was delayed till Nov.7 no box. The staff at the Wilmington office were INEPT. half of the staff who answered the phones were clumsy and unskilled. One person Valerie G. was very rude and argumentative. claiming we never rescheduled for Nov. 7. Manager Jason was unreachable. I finally got the box on Nov. 10. and was charged an additional month rental because of the delay and their INEPT handling of this situation. I will never use U Haul and I will post it on Facebook and other posts to make people aware of your poor customer relation and handling.

Wonderful experience. Melissa was the driver that del. The containers very professional,knowledgeable and very helpful. Valerie in the office in Wilmington,NC professional,knowledgeable about her job. These two young ladies displayed some of the best teamwork I have seen seen the military. Awful. Worst move I have ever made and I have moved 23 times. Rude, not on time for delivery or pickup or drop off. No responses to emails. On hold for HOURS. Still have 3 monthly charges that I am waiting to be removed - I have emailed the transportation manager Mr. Bethea 4 times now. I was a walk in customer that needed the truck for maybe an hour. It was not a problem at all that I didn't have a reservation. Customer service was excellent. I was probably there 15 minutes or so and had a pleasant experience! Cashier was very friendly and cordial. Truck was ready to go and didn't have to wait for one to become available! I used the truck for maybe an hour and a half ! The price she quoted me was accurate and as promised she refunded me my money from the deposit as promised when I brought the truck back! One of the best experiences I have had at Uhaul!

The Uhaul facility in Florence is outstanding! Very responsive and thorough in the scheduling and delivery. Only problem came in using MovingHelp - company I used, C and J Moving, overcharged and did not refund overpayment - still trying to get money back!!

The service was okay. However, I should not fear for my life driving a truck. The truck cut off numerous times on me while driving. I continuously had to put it in park turn the truck off and restart it before even getting to my destination. It was not a great experience and I will no recommend this uhaul building. The van was unsafe and not in good condition or even fair condition to drive. Luckily, I am a person who keeps my composure and works well under pressure and stressful circumstances.

My only issue is I went to remove some items from storage. Left them in lobby as I went to ready my car trunk. Returned and doors were locked. Management didn't answer the after-hours phone number listed. Had to return the following morning as my items stayed in the open lobby.

My experience was horrific. Brett was the rudest racist i have ever encountered. They broke into my storage not once but twice. He yells at me when i come to pay my bill almost every time because im always confused as why are there new charges on my account every three months i have been dealing with this company for over 3 years they made my experience a headache as a matter of fact, i didnt leave my storage they discontinued my storage after this last time the employees broke into it the sad thing is that they have camera s but no one knows anything. I dont reccomend this storage to anyone in the area of florence and the young lady with the serious overbite at the sales counter was equally as rude. I hate uhaul. Ill never deal with them again. Im contemplating consulting an attorney after being wrongfully evicted. Serious interpersonal skills are needed for this location and vigorous training is definitely the way they should go. On a scale from 1-10 i give uhaul -6points

I would not recommend anyone to come to y'all because I had a very very bad experience with y'all first of all I told y'all to change my phone number like 100 times to no avail and y'all sold my merchandise a day after some witch that was there took a payment from my mother and the witch told me that everything was good and paid in full and the next day y'all sold my merchandise. And that was unbelievable.

The facility did not have secured security.doors. The doors to the storage area was open so that anyone from the outside could enter. The lights on the floor did not come on so it made me very uncomfortable to walk towards my unit because it was dark. The alarm sounded each time you open your unit. That was unnerving because I didn't know if there was an emergency and to exit the building.The unit appeared smaller than advertised. The staff was friendly and helpful.

When I arrived, the unit I had reserved online was not available. Full disclosure, my reservation was for Saturday; 3/28, but I did not check in until Sunday, 3/29. The online system and the store location did not have the same information. The unit I reserved was not available. A 10x10 unit was recommended which I took at the higher rate. During my move in, the storage room was barely able to hold my belongings. I wasn't able to fit everything in the storage unit and ended up having to secure other means of storage. Overall, make sure the online system is up to date. Also, the cashier did give a discount because of the inconvenience; however, the lack of space in the unit recommended by the gentlemen was insufficient.

Facility staff were very polite and went out of their way to help. Supervisor was snarky and had an overall pessimistic attitude. U-Haul computer system had an E-Alert on me for no reason at all and THEY MADE *ME* CALL 1-800-UHAUL TO CLEAR IT!!  Storage unit was up a flight of stairs and no freight elevator. Worst storage experience ever.

Overall it was average. I placed a reservation the night before for a unit and was packed and there for move in. Only to be told the unit I reserved still had merchandise from previous client. I was told by a rude African American, very unprofessional at the job that she spoke with the manager and I would have to come back after the client moved their belongings out. Of course this was not okay with me so she involved Larry which seems like he has to handle everything. Several customers waiting to be served and 3 employees, Larry being one and the only one trying to help everyone. He took me and got me a unit and I was able to move my stuff in. Thankful he was there. Oh,and I was told I got a free month for the inconvenience but they were doing that anyway for all renters....overall turned out okay.

Larry (Irby St. Florence, SC) was very helpful in finding the size storage unit to fit my needs. He walked us through the building and let us see actual units that were available and allowed me to choose between those. I wanted one on ground level, however one wasn't available but he located one that was right at the top of the stairs with a large door for easier access to load and unload large pieces of furniture. He was very polite and courteous. He answered any questions that I had even prior to me asking them. After renting the unit, he walked us back over to explain to us how to use the access key and then showed me how to put the lock on the door that I was also able to purchase from him. Excellent experience if you're needing a storage unit.

There were so many roaches and roach eggs throughout my unit. Spiderwebs came with that, so the eggs were stuck every where. The unit was nice outside of the pest issue.

Great location! Initial contact to reserve the storage was pleasant. But as I interacted with Staff, they were rude in most encounters. Did not try to make situations more accommodating.

The truck I received was very old. The headlight were dim I couldn't see at night. The check engine light came on. This truck needs to be taken out of the fleet.
