Customer Service at closing was a nightmare. I arrived close to 8p and no one was available to help me nor did they want to. People who saw me coming, left immediately. I was advised to leave the keys on the counter and leave. Luckily I take care of the vehicles I use and returned in the same shape I rented it in. I've used UHaul a number of times and this is the first time I have had poor service.Patricio M.

9/10 when I rent from here, the trucks smell like an ashtray or a pot farm. I brought this to the attention to the attendant when I returned. I found half a cigarette in the cab of the truck. I told.him the truck smells but I was on a tight schedule and just had to go. He told me that he didn't want to hear my "bitchin" and if I wanted to keep "bitchen", to go inside because he didn't want to hear it. Then he said, " how about I charge you for the mess in the back?" I said if your going to do your job then do it, there was a little.bit of sand, but most of the mess was from the previous rental. I went inside to settle my new bill, since he said he was going to charge me, the guy at the counter said that he didn't, so it was a threat because I complained about the truck smelling like an ashtray. I told him my concern, he apologized and was professional and said they'll do better.Steven M.

The woman who was at the counter in Las Vegas - sorry, I don't remember her name - was a kind and helpful professional. Kudos to her! I explained that I had previously rented a truck from the Decatur Las Vegas UHaul that was horribly out of balance and blew a tire on the way to OR. She understood, said THIS truck had been fully serviced, & we completed the paperwork. Windshield was filthy-looked like it'd gone thru a sand storm. It's Vegas, so it probably had... Got to the load out and the 2 dz pads weren't in the truck. We go back to UHaul. Three lot attendants were pre-occupied with their phones... Got the pads. One of the roughest trucks I've ever driven in 45+ years of rental trucks. Felt like I was in a large washing machine. smh. How does a 2018 Ford F-150/250 NOT have cruise control? Made for a tougher 1175 mile drive than necessary. Front right tire started cupping shortly after leaving Las Vegas. Continued to worsen - balance was definitely out. Uhaul stations I stopped at in CA/OR were closed or couldn't help me. Last third of the drive could really feel the front right tire out of balance. Also, lots of noise from the heat shield - probably loose... A/C was great! Crossed the hot desert with no sweat... 9.4 mpg with a full load Vegas to Portland - Interstate 15>58>99>Interstate 5. Might look at Budget or Penske on a future move...Chris A.

I grab a 1 way 15" truck and auto transport trailer, looked clean, but as I stated driving to Vegas, truck had no transmission fluid,truck hesitation was on 100, we had to pull over multiple times. Speed wouldn't go over 55 on e way half the time. Mostly we did 30 to 40 miles all the way there. Had to drive in neutral most the night, I got to Vegas in 48hr instead of 26 hr.Transmission was slipping made crazy noise and the check engine light came on. Tried call roadside on hold for hr, each time I called it was 1he, so we cost the way to Vegas, i played over 2,800 dollars to go through this just was disaster. Rating would have been excellent if the uhaul didn't need roadside assistance. Uhaul wouldn't get out of park. Roadside was great, fixed the uhaul less then 10min but waited 90 min for them to come and it was 100 degrees. Would of liked a refund or some type of credit.Troy W.

We rented a 26â€ truck and got onto the freeway. Barely 10 mins since rental, and one of the tires had begun to unravel and blew. We were fortunate a driver told us what had happened or else we'd have assumed the noise was the appliance dolly falling in the back. After we stopped and called, I was told I had to call roadside, and by time they came to take care of the tire, it had already been 2 hours into our time.Leonard C.

Three days after i put my items into storage and moved back to California your office girl calls me at 645 am saying i owe $300 for breaking in to my unit and destroying the door. I told her i obviously didn't do that i just got the unit why would i do that. Her response "oh well all your stuff is gone". I thought you guys have cameras but you can't look at them unless i file a police report so i did that. Month later police officer calls me saying my unit wasn't broken into and that i filed a false police report. The trailer was hooked up by a new trainee and the trainer came back to verify the work. What DIDN'T happen was discovering that the ball/tongue portion of the hitch was installed upside down for an SUV tow. After I got the trailer loaded, fully following the 60/40 rule, the tongue and chains were scraping the road. Figuring that I loaded the trailer in error, my only solution was to have to completely unload and reload the trailer. Since I couldn't do this alone, I returned to the UHaul location and "hired" some "local contractors" to do this unload/reload. Instead, these well-experienced "contractors" identified the issue of the upside-down hitch. So I had UHaul change the ball, I returned to the trailer, and once installed properly, the trailer was no longer an issue. Had this been identified during the trailer installation, I would have saved the extra cash out of pocket in paying those "contractors".Richard B.

Everything went very smoothly. I had a no problems picking up or dropping off the van. The van ran great with strong air conditioning and in Vegas in the summer, that's very important. I was supposed to get 2 dozen furniture pads with ubox. I didn't have ANY and then I had to make sure they didn't charge me for them. I wasn't aware of the offer for free storage with a trailer rental. The Uhaul rep offered it when I told her our cul-de-sac could not accommodate the trailer. The storage space was a great solution. When I walked in I was told that my reservation with confirmation was just a request and that it did not mean I had a unit when I drove from Florida and arrived. The employee then corrected himself and told me the unit was available. I was provided with an access card that did not work and an access number that did not work as well. I currently have no way to access my unit. I was told the computer system was down but other customers were accessing the doors while I was loading my unit. The dock was filled with two 26' trucks of household completely lining the dock making access impossible for over five hours. Then the people had there cars parked blocking any access to the dock as well. Upon asking the employees at your store to help, l was told to figure it out. Rude and short, leave them alone loud and clear. At 2:45 when l could finally get to the dock, l was again rudely told the dock was clear an hour after l left. Twice I was in the office and had to listen to an employee talking back to the manager. Just not something I want to see as a customer. Further, I had to move three time over the past two years. I used Uhaul storage and moving trucks for every move. I just had to pay $217 so that I could simply ensure that my storage unit was EMPTY so that I could cancel the contract because the date had moved past due. It was empty and I was trying to get a family member who still lived there to check it. I was a promoter of Uhaul service. But now I am a detractor. Dan You should know how professional, courteous, welcoming and nice your team is. Arick, Jordan and Trevor were on it - from the time I drove on property; to the time I left 4 hours later. The facility was always very clean and well-lit. We had a storage unit at another facility across town and when we went to move out of it recently, we found that many of our belongings were ruined by rat/mouse droppings, urine, and damaged from them burrowing into our boxes, furniture, etc. We'll never store there again, but would gladly store with U-Haul. Enroute to Las Vegas had a tire blow out . Had to wait hours for roadside assistance. Waited so long that I drove the truck to nearby uhaul l was told l couldn't leave a disabled uhaul truck with a flat tire on the property because parking is a issue and it will be towed !!! Frustrated , l said let me get this straight!!!!! l can't leave a uhaul truck on a uhaul property ??? Yes he said so you would tow your own property l can't and won't drive a unsafe vehicle. And said wow when l returned the next day and the only truck the was blocked in was mine . I was charged for the entire month of August which is not fair when I moved out on 8/8/21. I was not aware that Uhaul does not prorate nor give refunds on storage units but, you give refunds on truck rentals, to me that's an oxymoron. Overall it is a decent place to store your stuff if it isn't long term. The building itself is very hot considering it's advertised as air controlled. It is more expensive per sq. ft. then other storage units around the area.
