Not enough employees at this location to serve the amount of traffic. Poor fellas!! They didn't know I was coming and had to accept a smaller unit than intended. The unit has insulation falling from the ceiling and what appeared to be water damage. I am concerned for my belongings. I mentioned it to the staff and they advise it was not reported as leaking. The guy at front desk with long hair talks way to fast just to get you out the door. The guy beside him quoted a guesstamation when I told him what city I was going. He looked it up and guessed 3 days round trip pluss miles would be in the area of 360 $.so upon that I made reservations. So when I returned he said that will be about 568$! I said that's not what you quoted me! He said I don't remember you,I see more people than you if I did. So I had to make it in two days now to get old quote. Pitteful,pitteful.KEVIN H.

Ordered an appliance dolly several days in advance but when I arrived, the gentleman said they had none. Move included washer & dryer. I had no idea how we were going to get them moved as it was only my son and myself. When I got the truck home, turns out there was an appliance dolly in the back. I had even asked the gentleman if they had checked the trucks that had just come in. He said they had and there were none. Needless to say we were pleasantly surprised to find the dolly ourselves. Truck definitely needed better maintenance. We were only moving 30 miles away but after the trip, on the way to return the truck, the check engine light came on. Imagine what could have happened if it was a long distance move?MARY E.

the Signs at the Return-vehicle area indicated a clerk would help, but on one showed up for 5-minuets. waited in line for 15-minutes to Return vehicle, while Trainee stood around not helping anyone. once at the counter, experienced clerk asked if i wanted an emailed receipt, I replied Yes. They took the key and asked for the next person in line. no one offered this alternative during the wait in line.john B.

The inside of the trailer smelled like fish so I had to disinfect it. Then the trailer had a flat tire, which required roadside assistance, which meant I had to return it after hours. I called and let the location know. Despite that, they charged me for two extra days. When I called to get it resolved, Steve was extremely rude. I will never rent from this location again! Previously when I rented at this location two women worked there and I never had an issue and was always treated with respect. Very disappointed!MARY D.

the scheduling system on uhaul.com and the sites evidently has nothing to do with each other when scheduling the installation of a hitch. This process isn't complete and so far has taken three friction' weeks to get one your employees to install the hitch on my Volvo (after the website ignored the date I chose and randomly picked a new date for me).Matthew S.

Happy about everything. I heard one staff member mention he didn't have room for my truck when I arrived to turn in, even though I had a reservation to do so. But really, it posed no problem to me. ¡Gracias!ANDREA B.
I tried dropping off a 5x8 trailer at Merriman blvd and he could not take it so he sent me to E Asheville center and he said the same. Call dispatch he said. He turned away 6 others - no room for those trailers. Called and said drop it off at this location. When I showed him the text saying the drop off location he still would not take it but eventually and with lots of grief did take it. I rented from UHaul several times recently and always had a good experience until now.Robert G.

I did not have a stellar experience. I reserved a storage unit from on line reservation tool only to fjnd out that when I went to the facility in person that the last two bins available were damaged from a water leak and out of service. The manager on site said corporate didn't know what his real inventory was. Then I learned that this office had been operating without internet or ability to print contracts for over a day. The manager was issuing contracts with his spotty reception phone. I was in line for over an hour with only one person in front of me. The manager didnt like that I tried to make needed changes to my reservation by calling the 1-800 customer service line while I waited. He called me out in front of the four others standing in line. Good service experience? I would say not really.cathy W.

The person in charge needs to improve customer service and how he runs his business. My reservation was at 1pm. I hired movers to assist with my move beginning at 2pm. I thought the 1 hr difference would be enough time. We arrived to pick up the truck at app. 1:10. The guy in charge told us that he did not have a truck ready and he was having internet problems. He asked what name the rental was in asked us to give him 15-20 min. We did. When we arrived the second time he was on the phone (talking quite loudly) to someone about some boxes. He had not pulled up the reservation or attempted to begin processing the reservation even though he had my name, knew I had a 1pm reservation and was returning shortly. His assistant asked my name, looked for the reservation and attempted to assist us but could not get on the internet. He tried for app. 10 min. We asked about the probability of him connecting because I was supposed to meet the movers soon. He stated it could be another 15 min. before he connected. Meanwhile the head guy was chatting away on the phone. At this point I stated that I was going to another location. Almost immediately after I said that he got off the phone and voila he connected to the internet on his device almost instantly. At least 15 min. had passed. By now we are getting close to 2pm and still have to travel to the location to meet the movers who I have hired for 2 hrs. When I attempted to express my concerns (to my son) the head guy butted into the conversation and was very defensive. He even threatened to end the transaction. He should have been apologetic and offered me a discount for the problems he caused me. Instead he put my return time at 1:20 even though he said the return time would be later. Also he did not have a furniture dolly available as I requested and paid for in my reservation. I really wish I had been informed that he was behind, did not have proper internet access and that he did not have a furniture dolly. It would have been great to be given that information and the opportunity to do business elsewhere. He greatly exacerbated the stress of moving by his inefficiency and lack of professionalism. I do not intend to ever use this location again and would not recommend it to anyone. This guy was horrible and his services worse.Yvette W.

One employee working at 9am on Sunday. When I walked in he had 9 people in line. The internet was down so he was having to check people out on his phone. Location was out of rentable moving blankets. That being said I got charged for the moving blankets bc of an issue with pre-check out- your website didn't know they were out of blankets. The man couldn't void the cost of the blankets using his phone. It took me almost an hour past reservation time to get my vehicle and I was subsequently late to return it due to this. The vehicle was brand new and in great condition.Charles C.

The truck was not there. They said the other location should have notified me by e-mail, which they did not. The other location was 12 miles away in city traffic, which was about $7 dollars in gas round trip at 10 mpg. I would not recommed U-haul to anyone.Dennis B.
Hire more employees! The ones that are there are very helpful and friendly but this location is far too busy for only one or two people. This was also the case a few months ago when I was there. Manager was doing ok but the whole store of customers and another employee were wearing a mask except him. It's a pandemic so do the bare minimum.Jeremy R.

First off I get to uhaul at 515 after being on a 95 minute call wait time. Online they say they are open until 7 and when I get there the signs say they close at 5. I try to mobile pick up the 17ft truck I rented and it won't let me check in to get the truck. I see a employee walk out of uhaul around 6ish I'm guessing he was the manager and he tells me the truck I already reserved and paid for was stolen today. I was never told this. So I end up getting a 15ft truck and by the time all of this is said and done I'm leaving uhaul at 645 to move all of my stuff. This set me back by about 4 hours and having a smaller truck then needed I had to take 2 extra trips and didn't even finish all of my moving. I'm very upset with uhaul now because I have to spend more money to get another uhaul today to finish the move.Evan D.
