The worker was awesome, yet he was by himself. I was in line for 66 minutes, after taking time to make sure all my stuff was filled out. When I got to the counter it took me less than 3 minutes. Again, the worker was outstanding!! A man jumped to the front of the line, cause he was an idiot and was bitching about adding his license. I believe the worker was trying to just help him and get him out of there, which I don't blame him. The equipment was well maintained and the overall experience was great.

Customer returning the vehicle is a pain in the butt. Rental rates are still the same but the customer has to do most of the work for you. Find your vehicle in a crowded lot, check for and verify damages on severely scratched up vehicles, verify mileage and fuel levels, and then do the same and more upon return. That is part of what I pay you for...

Truck passenger and driver door was difficult to keep shut. This particular truck has seen its better days. Water leaked into the cargo area and soaked my boxes.. The weather was the challenge however the enterior truck hold should have stayed dry. What a mess.

Several problems: Even though there were parking spaces available on site, customers had to park across the street on the side of the road. The manager was in a hurry and impatient. I also was unexpectedly charged a fuel fee that I should not have been charged. The manager disagreed and became impatient about that. I'm expecting Uhaul to reimburse me for that charge. I will not rent from this location again and will tell others not to. If Uhaul doesn't respond to my request for the reimbursement I'll be reporting this incident to community agencies.

No interactions with drop off location. I was very disappointed after 2 long days of moving in snow & rain to arrive at drop off location selected at time of booking whose address is printed on our confirmation, only to be unable to complete the drop off online because it said we were at wrong location. Customer service by phone was very helpful to resolve the matter.

Make sure the lock box for keys opens easily. I had to go in and ask the fellas to open it for me. He came out with a tire iron and had to beat it to open it. Also, please put the correct vehicle key in said lock box. I had to go back in to ask for the right key. Very relieved I didn't pick try to pick this up during non-business operating hours.

replace the GM with the assistant GM! I was overcharged for my in town 4 hour 20Ft truck rental- $1340!!! Of course, I was shocked and immediately reached out to have it remedied. The assistant GM of the Swannanoa River RD branch was incredibly helpful..but could change the charge and printed out the info for the GM to review take care of and most importantly, communicate with me. He never did call..not did he return my 2 phone calls asking for help. I would rather have hot needles stuck in my eyes than work with u-haul.

Ensure onsight staff are trained accurately in returning equipment so customers don't have to follow up multiple times and require refunds for being overcharged.

Clear the driver ahead of time by asking for secondary identification in the initial arrangement so they aren't stuck without secondary identification. If I didn't have my passport in the car, I would have been really stuck.

PLEASE HAVE YOUR STAFF MEMBERS WEAR MASKS!!!!! I've been there twice this month and both times NONE of the damn staff were wearing masks. This is irresponsible! And with the majority of the staff being black men, it suggests that the company doesn't care about them, or that they are too unaware of it to care. Both possibilities are disturbing. Get with the program U-Haul!

Return online is terrible. I had someone driving the haul I rented. Since I was in Mooresville NC and truck was returned in Asheville I could not do on line return. Even though I had pictures of odometer and fuel level sent to me by driver.

Two locations refused to accept return oh 6 x 12 trailers, in spite of me being told repeatedly that they would accept the trailer. U-Haul corporate, the origination rental location, and notes attached to my reservation all indicated these locations would except the trailer. Simply not true.You people we're not communicating, were poorly trained, and your policy and procedures stink.Very bad wrong instructions to one location. I wasted four hours of my day trying to find a drop off location. What a colossal hassle!

The app is awful. This was also the 5th location my uhaul pickup had gotten changed to. I had made a reservation at the end of November for my uhaul in a different location. It took us an hour to figure out the app in a location that is not very safe in Asheville. When I got to the town I was originally supposed to get my uhaul from, there were many just sitting around that I could have chosen from. Uhaul is unreliable and gives away your reserved truck regardless of how early you reserve it.

I rented a van, when I approached it my first thought was how filthy it was on the outside. When I open the door it smelled like vomit. Very appalling smell. There was dog hair all over the fabric seats. Both front windows would stick every time you open and close them, passenger window I put down 2 inches I was never able to get it back up. At certain speed when you apply the brakes the whole front end shock. When I returned it after a few hours I told the guy at the front desk that that vehicle should've never been checked out to anyone and I would say nobody even laid eyes on it or I would never have been rented out. I have rented many many many vehicles from that same location and never had a problem until today. The smell was so appalling that it truly smelled either like vomit or maybe the dog that was in there was so smelly and left his hair stuck all over the damn seat. The cargo area was broom swept but it was filthy. I rented out to go pick up a few brand new mattresses and thank God the mattresses were all wrapped up because they would've stunk and it would've been dirty. Shame on U-Haul for letting this vehicle go out the way it did

Mark the key drop box better. Pic provided on site was an orange drop box. The drop box at the store was a slot in the window with a green sticker and the drop box was surrounded by signage for other things that were also green.

I had to get a smaller unit than I had scheduled because they had no record of my reservation when I arrived and the larger unit wasn't available. I only stayed 2 days because the into had insulation falling from the ceiling and what appeared to be water damage . I didn't feel safe leaving my items in the unit provided for an extended period of time.
