David M.Nothing wrong with the facility, but the online pick up process was not very good. It sends you all over the lot to find the truck first, then makes you go inside for the key, which seemed to defeat the purpose of doing it online. Then when I returned the truck, the instructions said to park, take pictures, etc. then turn in the key. However the store employee told me I was supposed to pull into a certain area and shouldn't have parked it. He was nice and moved the truck for me, but it was an annoying process for both of us.

Ronald B.2 things. 1. I wish they had a parking area on site for day use customers. Parking across the street in the gravel lot made me a bit apprehensive. 2. The mobile check-in/check-out was fine, but I never received an email or text with my final itemized receipt. As a small business owner using uHaul for business use, this documentation is vital to my record keeping.
Bryan K.I was charged 20 dollars for after hour drop off, before I did the app I put the keys in the drop box could not get the miles the truck was full and as clean as I picked it up, I tried to call next morning to explain but the store had a 20 minute wait time, had to go to work, the bill came over before I could call back. I will not ever do business with you again!
Clifford H.Well first they didn't have the right size truk we had to take a bigger one. Then the ABS Lights come on and stay on the whole time we drove it over and down a mountain very scary for me. Then the wind shield wipers were terrible and it rained the whole drive. I am handicapped with PTSD and I called the HIckory location to see if someone could come and get it so I didn't have to worry about it but to no avail the manager said no one was at that location to drive it. To beat all I was then charged another 104.00 dollars when I turned the truck in. If I have to carry my stuff next time I move I will before I call u haul again. Charles F.Where was the drop off box? We spent almost 30 mins at this location doing the self return. We walked around the whole place looking for the key box and ended up having to shove the keys under the door.

James S.We had a 24/7 reservation but was unable to use my mobile phone on-site to pick up our truck even after the attendant confirmed we were doing things correctly and the settings on my phone were correct. We've always been forced to come inside, wait in line and repeatedly state that we don't want or need additional insurance coverage. The truck was parked so tightly next to the adjacent truck that we couldn't walk around it to detect pre-existing damage. The windshield was streaked with dead bugs and the windshield washer was non-functional.

denise c. | Overall ExperienceThere was a little confusion with another customer using counter check-in and myself using the automated check-in. I had the keys in hand from the lockbox but the other customer had also been told that truck was for them. In the end it worked out well for me. I finished the check-in process and took the truck. I am not sure about the inconvenience for the other customer.
Forrest S.I was under the impression that my experience would be contact free but this location does not seem to offer contactless rentals. There was no drop box for me to get and return the key. I had to go into the store and get the key from an associate and do the same to return the key. This was not the expectation set by U-Haul.

After waiting 45 minutes, your employee looked over me & asked the gentleman behind are you next. He politely told her no the lady that's standing in front of me is next. Now mind there's 4 more customers now, She took my key and said I'll be right back, which was another 30 min. She walk up to me & told me my total and said I could go the would charge my card the balance owed. I step to the counter mind you, because I was standing at the first social distance floor marking and told I prefer receiving a receipt now and stated to her the u to utility dolly was not in the van and I needed credit for it. She gave me 2 receipts one for the Van rental and one for credit. I asked her why didn't she make the adjustment, she stated I'll receive it in couple days to my credit card . Customer service is no longer, I waited for 1 1/2 hr to be serviced and she dismissed me in less than 5 minutes. Would I use your service again or recommend. Hopefully your next employee will be about customer service.

I was told to do the self check in which I did. 1 person outside cleaning the truck was the only person I saw. I was charged extra miles that I shouldn't have. I moved out a week before the end of the month but kept receiving invoices for balance due. Tried to contact the GM many times but never heard back. After the most recent email talking of collections and liens I called again and finally spoke to a service agent elsewhere. The bill was taken care of but I still have not heard a word from manager at the facility. Not a good experience.

We were very happy we were getting our furniture out as I imagine if we were there longer we would not have been able to get the smell out.
