Main “supervising” employee was extremely rude and unfriendly. (Short hair, masculine female) forced herself under the hood of my vehicle even though she admitted having no idea what to look for fuse wise. She kept my paperwork after forcing me to go get a different vehicle (not needed) then accused me of taking it. My check in was a opening and didn’t get to depart with rental until 2.5 hours later.

Show on the website which locations have self pickup!!!! I chose a location right by my house cause we don’t have a vehicle and we walk there to find out it didn’t have a self pickup and we had to take an Uber across town making us late for our appointment! It was a disaster and complete waste of time

Despite having reserved a UHaul van in advance, I arrived and had to wait in a line that was at least six people long for almost 30 minutes. The clerk was rude and unapologetic — and slow in checking me in. Then, the van I received had a dashboard light come on that said the right front tire is low and needs air. I have been a regular monthly customer of this location for more than 10 years — and I felt I was treated with disrespect. I feel UHaul should credit my account about $100 for the 30 minutes I had to wait in line and then for renting me a van with a right front tire that was low on air.

Customer service! I ended up being extremely late for work because I had to wait Over 30 minutes to return a freaking tow dolly. I ended up crying because I was so pissed off. Personally I think I should’ve been able to keep the tow dolly, Or at least should not of been charged for it because it was already worn and didn’t hardly have any tread left on the wheels but I had to return it before went to work so I didn’t get charged anymore.

The equipment return is the weak link. Had to wait in line close to 30 minutes before staff was able to accept and inspect the return.

The people at Kinfolk saved the day! Found out at 3:30 the day before an 8 30 am pick up we were rerouted 22 MI to pick up another truck. I called U-Haul talked with Shawna who never came back to the phone so I started calling around myself and found kinfolk had one truck although it was larger it was the only truck near me I could find at the last minute. I had reserved a truck the beginning of the prior week yet I didn't find out till the afternoon before that I couldn't pick it up in Marion North Carolina as planned. It took hours to get this situated, of course at greater expense since we had no choice but to get a larger truck at the last minute. When we checked it into Asheville North Carolina we were told it needed gas yet my husband had filled it up prior to return. He agreed with the woman who was so rude that the level of gas wasn't registering as full yet no more gas could be put in as would spill out. We were not aware there was an issue with a gas gauge reflecting correctly. The woman who wouldn't listen and who treated my husband like he was dirt wouldn't consider that there might be an issue with the gauge. We understand it's her responsibility to check these but there's no reason to be mean.

The sanitizer or deoderant spray used in the vehicle was way too much. We had to drive with the windows down in 18 degree weather because we had headaches and trouble breathing.

The tire light came on and stayed on for the duration of my rental time. I pulled over to check tires myself and had to call UHaul Roadside Assistance to make sure the vehicle was ok to drive. Other than that, the vehicle was clean and worked well.

This location was wonderful. The Key West location cost me 3 extra hours by saying my car was prepared for the trailer when it needed hitch lights. I’m grateful the smart and capable long red-haired woman in Asheville locates it for me in Greenville and the squired never into their schedule at the last minute.

It came as a surprise that U-Haul had to make a phone call to an alternate contact in order for me to rent the truck. It was confusing and only slow down the process for me and everyone in the long line behind me. I made the reservation by phone so would have sped up the process if I knew ahead of time.

Since cell coverage is weak, it would be nice to have several kiosks to do check-in that does not require an associate.

The truck had mechanical issues (no heat or defroster) for the entire trip. I had to wear a hat and coat to stay warm for 12 hours. The windows kept fogging up and I had reduced visibility for the entire trip. The receiving employee in the 28805 office was not concerned about addressing my concerns.
