Not a warm or friendly place to visit. so many hidden fees, tied to the service contract ridiculous, people need u haul services, and most have a budget, to rent a truck for $19.95 a day with the hidden cost runs about $184.00. i will shop other rental places from here on out.

I ordered a utility dolly that was never given to me, by the time we went to move the same day we got the truck the facility was closed . I then had to rent a dolly from home depot which delayed our move by 5 hours and had to pay an additional $125 for the dolly. I told uhaul they were not to charge me another dime and they turned around the next day and tried to charge me an extra day when in fact we returned the truck the same day but a few hours late.

Staff at the U-Haul center were easy to work with and professional. I did try the self checkout on the app, but it crashed, so I had to go into the store to get my rental completed. The app is not good and needs improvement. The video training instructions also didn't match the app.

The rocks and dirt really affected the cleanliness of my stored furniture/goods. Also rained during move in and made the situation worse. It would be nice if the rocks/dirt would have been pavement. I think that would make the experience much better. Also more lighting both outside and inside of the storage would be nice as well.

Staff was great. Issue I have is I over rented dollys and didn’t realize I didn’t need 3 but only the large on. I came back to ask if i could get a refund for the 2 on wheels and was told no. You have video footage we didn’t use them and came back less than 45 mins to request this. I kept the large one because thats what we needed for the large pieces. Customer service is key they heard me going back and forth or what i needed and knew it was for dressers.

I only had 60 miles with my contract and this location was 10 miles away from me.. Both locations were excessively far away from where I needed to be and it triggered an extra $25 charge.

Extra mileage should be added on one ways, as the algorithm goes from point a(uhaul) to point b(uhaul) Making extra mileage I drive to load or unload cost me more per mile …

Make the estimated cost closer to the real cost. My estimate was $20 but when I picked up the truck it changed to $60 which was very disappointing

Make sure the trucks are clean and empty from previous use. Our 3 year old opened the middle console and found a fully loaded magazine for a rifle. Not a pleasant experience. I brought it up when I dropped off the truck and no one seemed to care.

You can maintain your trucks so they don’t break down and cause people to wait 4 and a half hours to be towed to their destination. I will be seeking a refund.

The mobile check-in is ridiculous. I waited in the parking lot for several minutes before I just went into the store and checked in with them. During the check-in at the counter, the mobile check-in was approved and created a hassle for the agent in the store. I will never use the mobile check-in ever again. You need a lot of work to make it a useful tool and a good customer experience.

When booked I chose pickup in Chandler, return in Mesa but somehow when it went through it changed to return in Chandler. Talked to two agents and they could not change it back to return in Mesa. Had to drive an extra 40 miles for no reason. Wasn't super impressed, especially when the app is super slow and also fails to load half the time. Had to call a third time to check the truck in because the app wouldn't load.

Staff was always very helpful. However, the ground of the driveway around the storage units needs to be better maintained. Too much exposed dirt leading to muddy ruts after a rain. Needs more gravel.

My experience was Very Poor. I experienced several destructive break-ins at this facility and well over $5,000 worth of things stolen over several weeks, that does not include cost of repairs & time spent trying to follow up with a manager that could never make himself available to show me what video they captured of the culprit (after having filed a police report & having a right to view the videos). That facility is poorly maintained, has the same cut chainlink fence still in place from the break-ins (just chained together something lousy), & lacks proper security to deter these crimes from occurring in the future. Potholes and mud puddles never get tended to, the gate was lubed once in my time there & you could really tell the difference when it finally happened. Uhaul needs to see how they're being represented out here. It's raggedy. Would not, Do not, Will not, Never Could I Recommend This Facility, individually. Uhaul as a whole, sure. But they need to put their thumb down on this place.

If I could give zero stars I would. My storage was broken into multiple times, all my belongings were stolen. It took a medium uhaul truck to load up all my stuff, and I left with an amount that fits into my 2008 Chevy Malibu. I filed a police report and took all necessary measures to ensure some type of refund or answers as to why this had happened TWICE. I received one months refund and that was it. To say I am upset would be a massive understatement. I had things stolen from me that are priceless and can never be replaced, ever. Not to mention the sheer magnitude of stuff that was taken from me. I wouldn’t wish this experience on my worst enemy.

My unit was in the back dirt lot, a lot of dust and MUD because of the rain. My unit was in front of a huge water puddle and made it difficult to access my unit without dragging mud into it.the back lot needs asphalt. There was also no climate control available so I had to get my stuff out of there before it got too hot. If you have high end furniture this is probably not the best place to store your items. Price was reasonable. it's an old lot so don't have high expectations if you plan to store items here.

It’s pretty dusty but it’s AZ. I only worry about Pest getting in my Unit. As there was a Big rat trap in my unit. And there was no climate control option at this facility. But the unit/box truck container was clean. And for the size the price was not too bad. Easy access is a plus. So I’m happy with it.

I could never get in contact with Management nor the office when I leave emails or messages and when I finally got to my storage unit it had been rambled through and a storage tub full of expensive purses one being valued at $4000 and 10 others in a bin were stolen from employees or management at this used hall facility I do not recommend this location at all no integrity nor honesty for their customers belongings.

Everyone was good except the girl that rented me the truck to move out. She wasn’t very friend. Well rude. I was super nice to her and she wouldn’t make conversation with me but she talked to her co workers and joked with them. I washed her for a big truck and she said she didn’t have one. I found out the next day there were the big trucks. It seemed like she was trying to make my move harder than it needed to be. I had to take 5 trips in the little truck in 122 degree heat. I am 70 years old and I didn’t feel welcome at all. She had short multi colored short hair. I don’t think I will rent anything from hula again.

When I arrived at the downtown Chandler office there was only an hour till close. The staff was outstanding. The assistant manager helped me back into a spot so my wife and I could unload. While unloading time was running out and instead of telling us to wrap things up we are closing the gentleman who check equipment in helped us unload. This type of service was great. Thank you to the entire staff at that location. When needed I will use that location again. Thank you Diana & Mike Bernard

-Need better lighting; area of my unit was pitch black. -Need to be better descriptive online; I didn’t know that the units were actually are the back of the truck ,just laid on the ground. Having unit in a pitch black and the gate being left open due to non-operational is really creepy for me (woman) to be there by myself! So it really depends on the size unit Someone would need if I would recommend this facility and if they’re lighting has not changed on if it’s a woman that needed a unit at the facility! But overall, nice facility and yes during the day I felt safe! I would recommend facility!

Really dont think I was offered the insurance and when i moved my things out the storage my daughters entire bedroom furniture was soaking wait from the leaks inside the unit. Other than that everything else was good. Staff was always pleasant and helpful

This location very nice! However my experience with u- haul has been absolutely awful!! Your call center numbers are use less my stuff was missing for a month with no one that could get in touch. I would not use the u boxes again because of the HORRIBLE customer service. I suggest getting more bodies at your actual location and get rid of the phone so called “ customer service” people. Feel free to contact me. It’s because of the nice man Justin that works at Chandler that I decided to keep my stuff there.
