In the future. If an individual puts a Trailer on reserve, please have at the location it is reserved. I went into the the location was told. they did not have the trailer that was reserved. The agent made a phone call and I was told a "customer was returning one at 6PM that evening at another location 20 miles away and there is no guarantee it will be there. The after hours check in process was extremely awkwardâ€¦I did everything I was supposed to do and it stopped working when it got to show/hide rental picturesâ€¦I had to start all over again and when it came to this spot the second time, the continue button was litâ€¦when I finished it was not at all clear WHERE I was supposed to park the truckâ€¦and it was loaded with warnings about parking in the wrong location.Barry L.

Before accepting I asked if equipment was ready to go? Rep. acknowledged that equipment ready. Equipment was not ready. Switched out to another vehicle and it had been smoked in. I recommended that the first vehicle be checked for lighting issue. Tech found that the fuse had blown out. He replaced the fuse and I got on the road. Later to find the left front tire of the Auto transport only had 20 psi. Had Les swab tires air up tire. Now that's a safety issue.Erasmus P.

this wasn't the original requested location and i wasted over 3 hr. of my time driving across phoenix 3 time due to this mistake. the chandler location was great but the U-Haul Moving & Storage at I-17 and McDowell was terrible customer service was shit. and they didn't have my reservation the first guy who helped me sent me to the corporate location around the corner and completely blew me off. when I returned the second guy "Nathan" I believe, was able to arrange my trailer but it was clear across town.JOHN C.

Effective check in process but VERY rude employees. We turned the vehicle in moments before they closed, so I understand they wanted to leave, but we were never even greeted with a hello. Next time, we will throw the keys and run. I asked about an emailed receipt as we were leaving to be cut off and told it was just emailed. I never received the email. All in all, this location is great (clean, organized, ample parking, well labeled, etc.), however the staff could use some customer service skills.Amanda H.

Reserving and getting the truck we needed was quick and easy. The truck was in great shape and ran very well. Returning the truck was where we ran into issues. When we returned the truck we pulled up and had to wait for the gentleman to come check it in, walked inside and there was a couple waiting at the counter with no employee in sight. As I walked in another lady walked in behind me and the 4 of us sat there close to a half hour with no employee in sight except for the gentleman that checked in my truck walking in and putting keys back on their key rack and walking off again. Finally the gentleman that was helping the couple came back and was working on finding them a trailer they needed and probably another 10 minutes before the young lady that had checked the truck out to us came in and printed out the updated receipt for us and got the propane that the other lady and I needed. This was a Sunday afternoon/evening and it just seemed they were either under staffed, taking care of other things instead of taking care of their customers or just didn't care about the customers. I guarantee every person probably thought the same as I did that the employees didn't seem to think their customer's time was important. While we waited another couple of people walked in behind myself and the lady that walked in behind me. There really needs to be more attention to the customer and if that means adding another couple of people on a Sunday afternoon to make sure your customers aren't standing around waiting for someone to take care of them. The amount of time we all had to wait was totally unacceptable.David P.

I visit this store often and the veteran employees are always doing their best to keep your customers of this busy location in and out. Again, this is a busy store, and the only thing I've noticed is how visiting customers can be a lot nicer. I don't know if overall your store employees nationwide deal with impatient, complicated, stressed-out individuals, but this store does. Every time I'm in there they are greeted with at least one. Praise this veteran team I've seen employed there for the last year. They work hard! They work together! They work the day they're dealt with professionalism!ROZANNE C.

First they forgot my dolly and I had to delay the start of my move. Second, the latch on the trailer was so rusted, I could barely get it opened. It got easier over repeated openings but was awful the first couple times. When I called about the dolly Daria was very unapologetic. An, â€œI'm so sorry.â€ Goes a long way. No apology and sounding like I'm inconveniencing her made an inconvenient oversight a much bigger deal.Dana H.

I turned my truck in two days earlier than expected and was told I was good to go. Two days go by and I get a call saying I haven't turned my truck in and I'm going to be charged. So then I spent all morning on the phone being transferred to a million different people to FINALLY be told yes my truck is on their lot and they don't know what happened.Jessica S.
Since I returned around closing time on same pick up day may 8th the person told me that all good and don't require online return and I don't need to do anything. But still the return was still showing in my account and was in confused state until I called today morning to explain that I returned but didn't do online return. I had a question about whether this location would remove driveline from vehicle to be on dolly. Your website also said only they could answer this. after requesting call backs multiple times and NOT receiving a call back I had to go to store to find out they would not remove driveline and that they did not call back because they were too busy! The staff lacked customer service skills. The van we rented was parked so close to the other vans that we had to climb in through the passenger side. Then we couldn't back out because they parked a big moving truck behind all the vans. Went inside and let the staff know and they literally said nothing. One guy left. I though he might be going to move the truck, but nope. We had to go so we climbed through the passenger side and between two of us, slowly backed out after about 5 different tries. First of all, not being able to schedule a pick up place and time in a timely manner is just unexcusable. Plans had to me make for the pick up as we live in Kansas. I had to call, the afternoon day of pick up, trying to find out info when the info said we would be contacted the night before. Then the kid tried to say insurance wasn't selected. I had one of the worst experiences when it came to our reservation with Uhaul. We were given the runaround for several hours even after the reservation time. The truck I used was VERY well used. It ran great. But the transmission shifting stick (on the steering column) was very "flaky". And it had to be in the EXACT position in order to get the vehicle KEY to be able to be pulled out of the steering column.Dorthy M.

Over all the location was more than acceptable. My only issue was the moving can they provided was not full of fuel in the same way I was required to return it. I drive 8 miles and filled up with 5 gallons of fuel. When I mentioned it to the clerk she was just like... OK did not even offer to make that right. If it was 5 years ago it wouldn't have been a problem but now that gas is 455 a gallon that adds up. I don't mind returning it full I do mind is having to replace the gas they didn't put in it in the first place.Howard T.

Everyone was good except the girl that rented me the truck to move out. She wasn't very friend. Well rude. I was super nice to her and she wouldn't make conversation with me but she talked to her co workers and joked with them. I washed her for a big truck and she said she didn't have one. I found out the next day there were the big trucks. It seemed like she was trying to make my move harder than it needed to be. I had to take 5 trips in the little truck in 122 degree heat. When I arrived at the downtown Chandler office there was only an hour till close. The staff was outstanding. The assistant manager helped me back into a spot so my wife and I could unload. While unloading time was running out and instead of telling us to wrap things up we are closing the gentleman who check equipment in helped us unload. This type of service was great. -Need better lighting; area of my unit was pitch black. -Need to be better descriptive online; I didn't know that the units were actually are the back of the truck ,just laid on the ground. Having unit in a pitch black and the gate being left open due to non-operational is really creepy for me (woman) to be there by myself! So it really depends on the size unit Someone would need if I would recommend this facility and if they're lighting has not changed on if it's a woman that needed a unit at the facility! This location very nice! However my experience with u- haul has been absolutely awful!! Your call center numbers are use less my stuff was missing for a month with no one that could get in touch. I would not use the u boxes again because of the HORRIBLE customer service. I suggest getting more bodies at your actual location and get rid of the phone so called " customer service" people.
