The cab of the truck was super clean which is great of course with Covid. However the rubber/plastic flooring was so slippery that it was difficult to climb up and out without holding on. Shoes had no traction on the floor.

Moving is hard but my experience with the gentleman at the Mendon Rd Cumberland on Friday night made it so much easier. He explained everything and was so friendly and helpful. I hired professional movers but we were able to save so much money by transporting all of the boxes and small items back and forth ourselves in the UHaul truck. I was nervous about driving it, but it was so nice to handle and was not difficult at all. Thank you so much for all you do!

Customer prior to me was in an accident, I was told to go to a different location and given another vehicle. I was told I would receive a $50 credit for the inconvenience and did not receive it. I was told at the location that the other location should send me the credit and that I would have to call them. I could not get through on the phone and was billed the full amount. Not the Cumberland stores fault, but very hard to get through on the phone and never received the 50 back and had to make more trips with the van.

When I arrived to pick up the truck I reserved the computer system was down and they couldn't process my reservation. After about 20 minutes the attendant took all my info with pen and paper and I was given the keys to the truck. It had 112,000 miles on it, I was planning on a 4 1/2 hour trip one way and back to pick up a few rooms of furniture. The truck was amazing, not a single problem, kudos for the maintenance people. The attendant was very friendly and helpful, it was actually a very positive experience

This Uhaul location is horrible Has the worst customer service I have ever seen in business. Had the horrible experience to meet Brian on Saturday when I returned the trailer I rented. I completely regretted renting from this location after this experience. It doesn't seem that there is a better person anyways. As the other lady that always call you honey is rude too. I guess I will drive further for my rental needs in hopes that not all Uhaul's are the same. Please please find employees that actually enjoy working with the local community.

There was only one person working on the first weekend of the month, we waited inside the location for 20 min with no help, I saw two gentlemen at the area for grill tanks so I asked “do either of you work here” and was screamed at. We waited another 20 minutes to be helped and while he argued with other customers. I have used u-haul multiple times and this was by far the worst experience.

It was a big truck I wanted one more littler and the place I went guy was not so good and place was so far from me I wanted something more closer to me and charge me more than 100 and I did everything correctly

Listen I was lied to about the fuel amount in vehicle and took pictures of it at the time and no one wants to make right for the mistake... after speaking with service person of this location. I wouldn't recommend anyone to this location ever. I personally will never use this location ever again and will campaign against this U-Haul facility ... all for a few stolen dollars! This is not about any money but the principal. No one wants to be ripped off no one!!! I can see if I had no evidence of this. But I do and they don't give a care! Please everyone do yourself a great favor and drive a few extra miles to a better one. Don't become another victim. Shame on this person nothing but a thief.

The check in to pick up could be more efficient. 10am reservation.. finally got in truck at 11:15.. I understand with covid restrictions this might be hard. I know there is a self check in "app" option... I suggest putting better signage on the steps of going through that process.. like you have posted for self drop off...

One employee only checking people in, hooking up trailers, cashing people out, filling propane tanks... 3 people ahead of me and it took me an hour to get in and out... and I had checked in online. The GM was extremely rude... I was there with my 17 year old and he noticed it - rude and condescending to the people in front of us, openly making fun of customers that just left, and short to us when we were hooking up the trailer and trying to assist. I've rented trailers and trucks before from UHaul - first time at this location. They are always short staffed; Considering you are booking online, should be quicker... but at least if the customer service was better, you wouldn't mind as much!

Seriously, the rental process is a mess overall. Rented a van to move a couch for parents, you'd think I was reserving a private plane with the requirements for 2 alternate contacts, that they call and check before releasing vehicle. Like you have my drivers license, credit card, home address, etc, oh AND my $50k car in your parking lot while I drive your cheap ass van. Not trashing the local franchise, it isn't their fault.

After 17 years of having a space at your center the only bright spot was Brian Rishe, who was very friendly, helpful and sympathetic to my situation. The lock had been changed without my knowledge or permission in 2007 by "David " the manager at that time. I don't understand why a perfectly good lock was removed without my knowledge or permission. According to computer notes it is alleged that 2 keys were sent to me which I knew nothing about. Why a master key was not maintained in the office defys any and all business common sense. on part of your management. Then we find the lock was put on upside down which required me to call a locksmith and spend an additional $75.00 to have the circular lock removed. Next I tried to access the unit only to have to pry open the door handle with considerable force because the door and the bar had been over painted causing both to bond together. Once in it was apparent that someone had been in my unit since the plastic I used to cover everything within the unit was dumped in the middle of the floor, boxes were everywhere, my file cabinet draws were opened and the contents were rifled through, and the floor was covered with odd and end garbage consisting of metals shards, ripped up paper, and crayola crayons , all of which had nothing to do with my contents. The place was a disgusting mess. Then the worse problem was that my Conn Symphony 8 H trombone in my original case was missing!! As if to make matters even worse, I was informed that U-Haul's policy is not to reimburse portions of monthly payments unused. I intend to contact U-Haul headquarters to resolve this but suspect that it will end up in a court battle.

The customer service was awful. I had made a reservation a few weeks prior and am used to going over everything with the representative. This time the representative did not confirm anything with me and just moved forward. This caused me to pay for equipment I didn't need and not be able to return the truck to my desired location. I realize that part of that responsibility lies on me but overall the person was not very friendly, very strand offfish and seemed pissed beyond belief that someone would ask a question about the process. My family and I have been using uhaul for the past 8 years and have probably spent close to $20000 during that time with multiple crops country moves. I will be sure to share my experience with them and happily give our business to a company that provides better customer service. Moving is already stressful enough, and having an employee in a bad mood when you arrive does nothing to make it better.

There really is only one employee and she is wonderful! She handles that Uhaul so well, and multitasks amazingly. I had a storage a year ago there before and also rented another trailer and I am thankful for this clean well informed convenient location.

UHaul forced me to go to a different location (Cumberland) for the trailer I needed after confirming that the trailer would be at my chosen location (North Smithfield). Not a big deal in and of itself, but a nuisance nonetheless. I had to pick the trailer up at this new location (Cumberland) and the rep at the front desk, Brian, told me that I could not drop off the trailer at the location in North Smithfield. No biggie, but it was not ideal. I returned the trailer at 4:15. I had to maneuver this thing into a sliver of a spot by myself because Kim, the rep at the location at the time, couldn't be bothered while she was smoking a cigarette outside. Meanwhile another group of customers were waiting ahead of me. I asked her if there was anything else she needed and she said I'm all set and I left. Come to find out a day or two later, I got charged for a whole 24 extra hours as if I returned the trailer a day late, for 15 minutes over time, which is, coincidentally, the driving time to get from North Smithfield to Cumberland. I don't usually write poor reviews but UHaul, and the location in Cumberland, RI, have really shown me where customer service is these days. Not good. If you can, avoid UHaul, and definitely avoid Cumberland location because the service was subpar and severely lacking in simple courtesy. Who smokes cigarettes anymore anyway? Especially at work when interacting with clients/customers... Very poor showing in so many ways and I would never use this service again.

I had two different people behind the counter when I picked up and when I returned the vehicle. Both were extremely slow and inefficient and wasted my time. Note that I had checked in online already and it still took Way. Too, Long to process me both picking up and returning. Service was friendly, etc., just horribly slow. There was no sense of urgency or concern about customers' time.

The truck was clean but in poor shape , for example, the driverside mirror spun in circles while driving. Also, the app froze on me causing a huge delay, and i was stuck having a huge delay, the only saving grace was the the store manager, who was very polite and empathetic towards my dilemma. The truck i had gotten had no gas, but was offered a credit $35 if returned with 1/4 tank. However, the gentleman who checked me in at the end of the day could have used some polishing. While going over the bill he was breaking down each category and when got to the gas said it was a $35 fuel charge. I asked why i was being charged for fuel, when i should have a credit, and he got a little rude, telling me i wasnt listen to him. I was clearly listening, that is why i stopped him and asked about the charge. If he had used the right terminology and said a $35 credit, a pose to a fee, we could has avoided the whole rudeness situation. I believe if he had

clerks were very helpful and friendly. clean store. my only suggestion might be to apply the deposit to the total bill once equipment is returned it would be a lot less confusing and make for a quicker drop off as well as not having to worry if deposit was removed from bank card then re charged the remaking amount due
