Everything about this rental was done professionally and timely, and worked out perfectly for me. From a close to me pick up point and drop off point to very courteous and professional staff at the site for a very happy customer.

Carol HEquipment functioned ok, but was old. Wasn't super dirty, but we did have to sweep before we loaded furniture. The door was very stiff and hard to use. I had them grease the tracks before I left, but then the whole trailer smelled like petroleum, and honestly, it didn't really help the operation much. I could barely get the door to roll up and fully down. There was sealant on the inside corners to waterproof I assume. It was just very tired looking and functioning. That said, we had no issues with it, we completed the move without issue.
LYNNETTE CThe wait in line was a little long, since one customer was holding everyone else up. It would've been nice to have other registers open, but every employee seemed to be helping another customer, so I really don't mind. Hard workers!

KAAL ACustomer Service staff was excellent. The mechanic was top notch and took time to explain everything. As a woman, I felt totally respected especially when I asked questions. I would definitely recommend Colonie U-Haul . The pricing is great and about 1/2 the price of going to the dealer.
lori hQuick, easy very fair priced. I was actually expecting the worst and left feeling very satisfied overall. These days things are just so over priced but I was very pleased to spend much less than expected which is quite rare in 2024 unfortunately

The problem is it was not my original location When I arrived at original location, 7am reservation, to do a mobile pick up (schenectady, ny) they did not have any equipment assigned to my reservation. I could not wait until 9am for the location to open so I got moved to this one in Albany. Forcing me to start my day of moving almost 90 minutes late and having a longer commute meaning more mileage charged to me. Also, when I asked for a mileage break I got pushed to 3 different people, everyone saying the next person they connect me with would help. In the end no one helped.

James DRunning a rental place with a single employee seems problematic. Alot of waiting for other customers (even with a reservation) and stress placed upon the employee. You need to plan for surge work at the appropriate times , especially around 5pm.

Marc GFirst, what's the sense of making a reservation, when the equipment you reserve isn't there. I had to go to 2 different locations and got the equipment later then I reserved. Not happy at all.
Derek MI reserved a cargo van in advance. When I arrived the sales person said "ohhh…well..I got two…neither one is a good option. One is a 'repo', and one is a ' drop and run', which I haven't cleaned yet and both of them have no gas in them". I had no choice but to take one of these because I had a time sensitive pickup to do. Luckily there was a gas station across the street because the van was on less than empty. I will never recommend this location to anyone.
Margaret PMy experience was great, from start to finish. Courteous and friendly staff, well maintained and clean truck, easy check out /check in process. Thank you for taking some of the stress away from what could have been a very stressful day. The only trouble I had was with the app - it took forever to load and then didn't work properly once it finally loaded. Everything else was awesome.

yevsey lI think Wayne should spend more time training the new gal as the straps came off of the wheel of the Lexus. I stopped at the first Service Area, after driving 100 miles and discovered this. The ratchet was opened and the strap came off the ratchet. I had to put things back together and it wasn't easy.

I had to have a refund and i was charged for a vehicle and miliage that 13 miles from my house 4 times back and forth to your facility i was charged. Extremely disappointed and still charged $108 for the vehicle. Next time stop advertising one thing and the next day its another story. They never had told me anything.

Although i like to recognize the branch manager Nicholas Diotte but to remind him that not only due covid19 but and blue code weather condition in NYS eviction are prohibited. Yes, landlords taking advantage after federal rental aid was distributed and still evict tenants but unfortunately i do not meet that category because never have been late and statement that they don't want me see at that location classify as discrimination and insult my sensitive personality, and action as blockage of my formerly rented unit what prevented to enter unit #1317 till yesterday, 2/19/2022, is classified as retaliation. Yes, i can't file small court claim while i was "tenant" but now i have green light for that including local PD twisting my both wrists. Otherwise, i am pleased as much not please apparently the others. Have a wonderful president day celebration and make sure rental equipment will be clean for the farther renters because that location has 2 new employees who do not much and these are women what would be unacceptable to see toilet filthy and flooring too. Good night for now, dear location 2043-45 Central Avenue, Colonie, NY 12205. I am glad that credit administration in Phoenix, AZ received my payment in full for the equipment and my financial advisor confirmed that too as well as Michael Kimmer??? Quite didn't comprehend last name.

Kelly F | First ImpressionsThere were a few things I didn't like. When you call your local Uhaul office number, no one ever answers. You have to drive to the place to talk to someone there. The gate remote I was given was broken and no longer opened the gate. To access my unit after the office closed was not an option because I now needed a code. I eventually got a code and was able to access my unit at my convenience. Whenever I was in the store to rent a truck etc. the staff was always nice and friendly. My only other issue was online payment. For some reason my balance did not show up until the day it was due and after. I paid my first payment late because of that. The store manager was nice enough to waive the late fees and help me. Aside from not wanting to pay $130/month for my unit anymore, my stay was nice enough. I felt my things were safe and secure.

But an attitude in conversation to value customer like me just tells me that she will be poorly skilled in cleaning either. Greetings to Christian Ashes and hope my thousand was spent at least wisely in 2016. Have a scary, funny Halloween USO and UHaul with Residency Inn Drivers..

They told me that online access codes are almost always incorrect and need to be revised on site. That's unacceptable, hence the below average rating.

When I had trouble with the gate code, I unfortunately called and was transferred to a central operator who said she'd message the local office. THat didn't happen, fortunately I called local number again. THere are no instructions to use gate access and the call button is gone.

I had to call the office and was diverted to corporate office who assured me they would contact local office. DIdn't happen. Fortunately I called the local office again and they provided a key code that was valid. The red help button on the key pad doesn't work. Why wasn't I warned that same day access wouldn''t work? Staff was helpful....but process was more stressful than expected
