DO NOT USE THIS U-Haul location, as they can cancel your rental without speaking with you. There are several other U-Haul locations in the area with better service and reviews, and who are also listed as A+ business with the Better Business Bureau. I wish I had done my research in advance. We rented a 15-foot van for 6 hours using the U-Haul app two weeks in advance of our move. We secured this rental with a credit card. Our 6 hour reservation was canceled because we did not arrive at the start of the 6 hours, even though that was not written or stated when we secured the reservation with our credit card. It was written that we were required to make any changes to our reservation by the day before, or we would be charged the full amount. We did not make any changes. We encountered heavy summer, Saturday traffic on the long drive to U-Haul from our home, so we were not able to pick up our U-Haul at the start of the 6 hour rental period. Without speaking with us, U-Haul canceled our rental and rented our truck to another customer. We did not even know U-Haul canceled our truck until we got close to U-Haul and opened the app. When we called U-haul to see what had happened, the employee on the phone told us that they canceled our reservation because we were not there at the start of the rental time, and that there were no other trucks available to rent because it was a busy Saturday. He was very rude and even hung up on us. Since we were almost at U-Haul, we went in to talk in person, as the employee had hung up on us on the phone. The employee had been untruthful to us on the phone, as there was one truck left. Unfortunately, it was only a 10 foot truck, so our move took us more time (and cost us more U-Haul miles) than it would have been for the 15 foot truck. Additionally, the U-Haul truck was run down with 106,000 miles on it, and the transmission kept slipping. When I spoke with U-Haul's corporate office, they verified that it was not in the contract that I had to arrive at the start of the 6 hour rental period. However, they said that some locations chose to cancel with customers do not show up at the beginning of the rental period. If this policy has been stated, we would have contacted U-Haul to let them know we were running late. Unfortunately, we were concentrating on very heavy traffic, and did not think to contact U-Haul as we had secured our reservation for 6 hours with a credit card. This location choses to cancel your reservation and rent out booked U-Hauls to customers who do not have advance reservations. This is likely because they will make much more money on the $1.19 a mile Saturdays than just the base $29.95 daily rate.

My issue wasn't the location. The web site after hours drop off of an auto transport was complete disaster and a non starter. It was full of errors regarding geo services (site Scripting error, not a phone problem), drop off hold failure, and mileage (auto transport). Then there is message on the drop off sign to use a bar code when there's only a misleading qr code to take you to the inoperable web site. You have to find the small info bubble that says find the bar code left side of a building in a place surrounded by buildings. I eventually found the inconspicuous bar code about 50 years away from the drop off. So i finally got the location the register. But due to the inability to get past the mileage, it was a total waste of time. Then i wasted more time in the chat and another hour on the phone and ended the call unsure if i was done with my reservation or not.

Initially, we were given the wrong truck and would have driven off with it had WE no noticed that the truck number did not match the number in the contract. The correct truck had two hand trucks in it that we did not order (which we returned). The tow dolly we were given had a bend in the tongue that attached to the hitch. The trailer was not centered behind the truck, and after 300 miles the tires had worn enough that one of them ruptured, stranding me for 5 1/2 hours on the side of the road.

I only ordered a 26 foot truck, and a large dolly. I confirmed the day before, both were available and ready. When I showed up, uhaul didn't have the dolly, and said I could drive to Durham or elsewhere to see if one was available. I booked the truck 3 months in advance. If someone rents your items, you should have essential supplies for the use. It's unacceptable to think people can move refrigerators, washers, and dryers without a dolly. I was not very happy about this, especially since I was moving myself.

When we arrived to pick up our uhaul that we had reserved it was no longer available. They then transferred us to another location where the customer service was horrendous. We were also promised free miles for our trouble but we never received them. We will be avoiding using Uhaul in the future at all costs.

I was told to fill the tank for what gas I used. I did so! I filled 3 Gallons right before turning it in. I was charged 3 Gallons of gas from U-Haul on my final bill and I don't know why. I would appreciate this being refunded. Please call if you need more information.

I had a reservation for a 6 by 12 trailer and when I arrived there were none available. I received no word via text or email that there were none there. They said that the college students moving took them all. This ruined my trip to PA where I needed to empty a storage unit. I have a Uhaul account, a storage unit in State College , PA and have rented trailers 20+ times. This was the first time this has happened. Not Happy

My only advice is to alert customers of rental equipment confirmation survey BEFORE the customer leaves the lot. Otherwise, checkout (this young man was exceptionally polite and cheerful) and check-in were a breeze and the product was most helpful. I'll be back if the need arises.

So, this was supposed to be a non contact mobile device rental, NO Nothing worked, pickup was 20 minutes. WiFi not working, person in line behind also same issue. Every time I go in there, there were issues. Exterior doors that didn't lock, key cards that didn't work. I had two climate controlled storage units and one covered RV parking. All we're supposed to linked to auto draft, but they weren't. When I've rented trucks or trailers they just give you the number and you have to go find it yourself. When renting trailers you have to connect and disconnect yourself. Poorly run in my opinion.

I marked number 5 as "no" because of a maintenance issue. I rented and paid for a CLIMATE CONTROLLED unit, yet the air conditioning was out for months. UHaul still charged me the premium rate. The staff was great and I knew it was not their fault. Luckily, I do not think any of my items were ruined.

I had used this location about 1.5 years before. Precious the manager was great and everything I ordered was delivered. However this last experience was totally different. I had prereserved the truck and storage area. When I arrived for the truck they did not have the dolly that I had ordered. Since I was moving from a second story apartment with MANY boxes this was unacceptable!! The clerk did try to find a dolly from another facility but was not successful. The truck that was recommended did NOT hold all of my belongings. Also I thought I had reserved the largest climate controlled storage unit but when my truck with belongings arrived they did NOT have the unit Available. So I wound up having to rent 2 units which cost A LOT more. I would recommend that you personally check your truck and storage unit BEFORE your moving day. I didn't and got scr***d. It wound up costing me significantly more than I budgeted for

The gal behind the desk is wonderful. I'm just sorry I forgot her name. My only complaint is the lock on the door for our building broke and it was never repaired even tho we reported it a couple of times. The door did close but the added security of it locking was gone.

I used the storage facility for 4 and 1/2 years. There were no problems and everything was kept secure. The one problem I had was that U-Haul somehow discontinued my automatic billing earlier this year and treated me as though I had not paid my bill. It was eventually straightened out.

This is the busiest Uhual I have ever seen! The General Maanger, and his staff went above and beyond to help me with my returns, and storage. I traveled across coutry, and drove more than 20 hours to reach my destination. They were the kindest and most professional staff; and I was truly appreciative of it. Initially I was scheduled at another location, but they couldn't accommodate the storage I needed, so I found and transferred to this one. I'm very glad I made the switch. Luke Williams is the General Manager I believe. He was extremely patient and helpful with each of us - his customers; and the place was swamped with trucks being dropped off. I was impressed with his resolveand patience! Very glad I chose this Uhual location instead! I will definitely recommend others to them. ¡Gracias!

Precious ran a tight and welcoming ship. Luke has been rude and arrogant, two hours late, told me he didn't like my attitude and he had his masters and was the manager and he didn't care. We have been 2 weeks with no air and he was on vacation and not available.Need I say more ?

U-Haul truck reservation that was part of the Storage order was not avaialble. I made the truck reservation well over a month ago for 11 AM pick-up yet when I arrived I was told that there was no truck available and that the "online resevation system is not accurate". I traveled in to Chapel Hill from Pennsylvania to helpmove my son and this created a major issue for us. A truck was provided to me at 12:45 PM however this almost 2-hour delay was unacceptable. I will now think twice about renting from this location for future moves (August).

The turning off the alarm system by first putting access code into a different keypad was a little confusing. Overall liked the process and the facility very much. Employee on-site was very helpful.

There was a problem with the climate control - it was not working while I was there in July and August. Wine stored there was ruined and I was unable to sort through the belongings as needed because working in the heat made me ill. A repairman was there but the problem was not resolved. The staff was great but I was very upset. Precious has gone above and beyond . The premises are safe and clean. The entire staff professional and helpful.
