Had all my stuff moved out of my unit before I was due to be charged for a new month, but office hours were closed so I couldn't formally close out my account until the next day, and I was automatically charged for a full month regardless. I will not be renting a unit from uhaul in the future, nor would I recommend anyone to uhaul due to the uncompromising, all-or-nothing contract and refusal to prorate unused days.Rebecca C. | Overall Experience

I appreciate the Uhal team that help me. I have been sick and suffer so much. I am Firefighters Volunteer/ Medical reserve Corps and have been with respiratory issues. Took me 3 days to move. The office was understaffed, and when I came back to return a Uhaul truck (because I was unable to acces the dasboard/online return) I was waiting for 20+ minutes with several other customers. Then after the wait, I was told to just give them the keys and not worry about taking pictures or doing anything else, this was 10min before my scheduled return time. I was then charged a $20 late fee, and a $50 fee for missing equipment that was returned. The $50 fee has been refunded after I called, but I am still having to work with customer service to get the $20 late fee back.Mariah J.

Place signs near the drop off area indicating where to find they key drop. It took us about 30 minutes. Mobile return was also down, so it was a frustrating, uncomfortable experience for us in the dark in an unfamiliar city.Josie D.
The 24/7 pick up was great, but a little tricky to use the app interface. Great concept and it worked, but just a little cumbersome at times!Jay S.
I was disappointed. No one was there when I went for pickup. Login was impossible and password prompt was delayed, necessitating me to call in for help. Then it turns out there was staff at the nearby service center that probably saw me lost and pacing for 30mins and didn't help. The truck was tucked away and hiddenâ€"almost didn't find it. The blankets I requested weren't in the truck. The truck was very damaged and the passenger rear mirror was crack so I had a fractured view. Also, not sure why the login process necessitates so much personal info (a passport? really?) on the day of. That said, drop off was easy and the staff member there was incredibly nice and laid back and credited me back for the blankets I never got without even asking.STEPHANIE G.

wasnt able to upload photos. error message was something along the lines of "not enough memory space". i deleted enough photos and video to make room for the several required and got the same message. i also was able to take pics on my phone just fine. made it much longer process than it should have been. was inconvenient but the staff was helpful and took care of it manually.natalia P.

Make sure the Uhaul door latch handle is unlocked or that a key to open it is provided on key ring to the customer. They sent off the the lot with a truck thats latch to open the back was bolted shut, and when I got to my destination, saw the back door was bolted shut. I had to drive back to the Uhaul store to have them unlock it. The woman who was checking in and out vehicles was dismissive and not completing core tasks of her job... The people inside the Uhaul customer area were very helpful and attentive.Brianna L.

At time of rental over the phone 2 weeks prior, I reserved a truck for the full 8 hours. Upon pick up- we were advised we only had a 4 hour window. We assured our reservation was for 8 hours but due to overbooking our reservation was changed. It was unbelievable, and we had to scramble and use a smaller equipment van and it was more labor intensive and a lot of pressure for an issue that a confirmation and email did not matter in person at time of pick up. Please do not overbook vehicles. If someone pays and reserves for 8 hours allow them to rent the unit and not have to change to a smaller transport. We arrived at time of pick up as agreed and spent 30min to secure a smaller vehicle. The yard was large enough to accommodate more large box trucks, and the van we used was badly scratched and no power mirrors. We could not complete our tasks as the items we needed to move did not fit in this vehicle. Highly disappointed.OLGACARMEN S.

This is a 24 hour drop off but the lot is too small for the volume they get. When I went to drop off, there was no one to direct any of us. There were 5 other drivers confused just like me - we went to the front door and saw the sign on how to return but it wasn't obvious, the lighting to read the sign was terrible, and I actually fell going back and forth from our rental truck to the drop box. An attendant would be very helpful, I really hurt myself all because there was no path between the office and the UHaul drop off lot and it was stressful trying to figure out what to do in the dark. The app was frustrating to use - it froze every couple of seconds and made me resubmit my license 4 or 5 times because it crashed. The verification when you're waiting for your rental is also frustrating. It would make more sense to be able to do this earlier (in the online check-in) so that you don't have to waste some of your rental time doing this. The self-check in was not great; however, it was compensated by the extremely helpful staff at this location who made sure my rental was a success.Allison M.

The phone-check-in process was haphazard and ambiguous. The instructions given didn't lead to where the vehicles were actually parked. We wandered around for almost half an hour just trying to pick up our vehicle. Some of the staff were friendly, but others were downright rude and seemed disparaging that we were struggling with the unclear process.Emily S.
None of the additional items I purchased (two dolleys, furniture pads) were present in the vehicle. I did not know this until arriving to the location where my furniture was, as my assumption was that it would be in the truck when I picked it up. This should have been made clear, if that was the case. Or I should be reimbursed for those items if they were unintentionally left out.Andrew M.

When we opened the unit, all of our items were covered with a film of white dust. Something must have fallen from Above. It took A lot of work to clean off our stuff. It was concerning as we don't know what it was and whether it causes a health risk. The office staff were unhelpful and just said - we should have gotten insurance.
