As a store, very little that's feasible. As the company U-Haul, customer service contact. It felt impossible to reach a customer service rep and by the time I had all trust had been eroded ( which wasn't much to begin with ), the other thing is as the company U-Haul have very little trust to begin with.Sam B.
Try to come reasonably close when listing the gas level. I was listed as "1/4 tank," but the "E" light came on about a mile from the dealer.Micah M.
Gas level was inaccurate. They told me it was at 3/4 when in fact it was more at just over half a tank. I took a picture. When I came to drop it off, it was just one person who was taking care of someone else with an issue. I waited 20 minutes before he said I can just leave it. Fantastic customer service, there was a mistake on my online reservation but the representative was very knowledgeable about U-Haul systems and was not only able to ensure that I was still able to make my move but even worked diligently to provide a solution at the same cost as my online quote. I returned the vehicle with a bit more gasoline than it had when I picked it up. This location charged me around $22 for gasoline. In the verification process I uploaded a picture of the gas meter because it didn't had what the estimate said. This is the first time I rent from this location. I rented before from a different location and didn't have this problem. I will like you to email me the picture of the gas meter I uploaded. This is very dishonest from this uhaul location.Emilio G.

The return location was very far from where I was moving too. There was a location 4 minuets away but for some reason they gave me a drop off that was 30 minuets away. This made the gas low and I was charged. Not cool at all. I tried to get the closer location by calling in, but was on hold for over 2 hours! Then when I did speak to someone they told to hold on for scheduling which I did when that person answered they said they would transfer me to scheduling. I am so annoyed by this. There was one issue with the lock I purchased from U-Haul not fitting the container. This lock was recommended by U-haul and purchased there. Other than that small issue, everything else went well.Gwendolyn O.
The garage doors were always open when I used to go to my unit. I rented different units for 5 years at this location. However, I would always feel unsafe because there were some suspicious men entering the building at different times during my visits at the unit. Of course I report it the inccident to the office, but I don't think the problem was resolved. This was one of my main reasons that I moved to a more safe U-Haul location.Patricia F.

The location of the rental van was oddly placed, and it was fairly difficult to back out. I think it took me about 20-30 minutes to back the van out of the lot. The best way to improve upon this is to place all after hours rentals in an easily accessible spot that wouldn't be blocked (for easy ingress/egress). I had some issues with identity verification too, but that was more to do with U-Haul itself. It wasn't location specific.Kristijan S.

Attendant that did the hook-up on my vehicle took the time to explain and showed me how the equipment worked and the safety features of the straps and proper chain placement. He was also very helpful with the electrical hookup and made sure they system worked. Very professional and courteous. When I dropped off he checked the equipment in and stay behind a few minutes to ensure the car hauler was checked in.JORGE H.

Multiple people called and with each call the information was different. Dates were confirmed on both ends but nothing happened on the dates that had been confirmed. I was awaken by the locations desk agent with a phone call blaming me for a bullet hole in the hood the following morning. She directly blamed me instead of taking in the fact that a notorious lounge known for shootings is not even 250ft from the lot where all the Uhaul trucks are located. I then returned to the location to get my position situated in having nothing to do with it and the lady at the desk was very rude and dismissive to everything I was talking to her about. So I go to the lot across the street and talked to a level headed employee that was in the van. This was an incredibly inconvenient situation. Blaming me because I live in a bad neighborhood and the Uhaul location is in a war zone is insane.Jerell B.

U-Haul was a poor experience. I called several times asking about access to storage unit times and was given wrong information. A security guard.close the black gate in front of this storage unit 5 or sometimes 10 minutes ealrier than the time storage unit access supposed to be closed. So, several times I was unable to access.my unit because of this issue. This past Saturday I moved all belongings out my storage unit and cleaned it out. When I enter the door it smelled like andeadnrodent or something. I informed one of your employee about the smell and about my unit being cleaned out and she told me leave door up, which I did. Yet, I still received a bill reminder and I had to call them and asked about my unit being check. Also I did not feel safe health wise because everyone was not wearing a mask. I had been a customer for 4 years and things have improved so much. For example; the rotten problem has improved dramatucally, the storage area doesn't have a foul order or dead nice inside the vins. I rented two vins and because of change in management and staff, I decided to stay a customer for 4 years. However, the first two years as a renter were horrible but because I had an injury at work I couldnt lift anything heavy, that's why I stayed at that location for two more years. I went there to rent a 10x30 on phone that was reserved a 10x30...instead I receive 2 10x15..unit wasnt long enough...and was held hostage there, not allowed to leave forced to rent a second truck when there were still 61/2 hours available on 1st truck, wasted 10 hours of time on use of minivan being stuck at facility unloading and reloading for 10 hours...being charged $500 a day to finishing packing a building whereas not getting any work there as was at 47th street location from around noon til 10pm. Reserved storage locker and will waiting for counter girl to prepare contract...she answered other call and made me stand there 25 minutes ...then finally finish rental...then took on tour of units left me standing in warehouse in my orthopedic book post amputation surgery to hobble around lost while they did something else. I am appalled at unprofessionalism, neglect and abuse by employees. Also reserved a truck at 2801 s. Pulaski and sat there for 3 hours trying to get different rental...which had a $50 Reservation guarantee be which I haven't received Your repeated lies and abuse are unreal. Good customer service and got the truck for a full 24 hours in August at the same place when I moved in I was told they don't do the 24 hours anymore I ended up being charged like 160 180 for the rental because a csr didn't know what they where talking about or just dumb af.
