Poor service. Uhaul rescheduled my reservation 4 different times. My trailer and pickup was supposed to be all under 1 roof. Uhaul worker told me to drive somewhere to get a trailer. Super unprofessional. I agreed to the reschedule location. Never agreed to not have everything under 1 roof. To top it off. Took 3 hours from my reservation time 330. Wasn't out of uhaul till 640pm. Unreal. Best thing. By the time I made it back. I Couldn't even use the truck or trailer because it started to rain. The window wipers didn't even work. Have pictures to prove that. Would like an entire refund for this inconvenience. I use uhaul very frequently and always openly spent my money there. This was a horrible experience. Would love to continue to work with you guys. La verdad estube muy agusto por un tiempo no tuve problema alguno... El problema fue con Alfonso García el manager cuándo descubri que un cliente tenía llave para poder abrír una de las puertas grandes yo pedí hablar con el manager quien es el ! Y le pregunte cómo esa persona tenía acceso a esa puerta solo el ? Cuanto tenía que pagar más o que debía de hacer ? Su respuesta fue que esa persona tenía un contrato exclusivo y es la única persona que tiene una llave para poder abrir esa puerta por la madrugada... Que yo no podía hacer nada para evitarlo hablara con quien hablará... Solo esa persona tenía acceso a esa llave y nadie más no me parece justo xq todos pagamos lo mismo para otra persona tenga ese beneficio por esa razón decidí dejar el storage ... The condition of the box was poor. There was damage to the walls of the box. There were also many carpentry staples that were sticking up (some more than a fingernail's length) from the floor of the box. Rather than drive the staples into the floor, they simply covered the floor in butcher paper to disguise the damageSteven B.

The online ordering process, coupled with the emails, texts, and phone calls, made for a very smooth and always well communicated process. Frankly, I was surprised at the high level of professionalism, reliability, and support. This was a cost effective and extremely convenient way to move furniture/boxes, etc. cross country. Staff was rude and dismissive. At drop off area, sign clearly states to stay in vehicle and staff will assist or do mobile drop off. We stayed in vehicle as instructed and not came to assist. Eventually got frustrated and went into the store, which had glass windows and they can clearly see the drop off area, staff was found sitting in the AC looking out that very window. She had the heart to say "oh that is only for when there are many drop offs a staff member ill be there," though the sign did not express that. Regardless they could see us but would rather for us to keep waiting for their none existent service to arrive. There was 4 staff members, and none had the courtesy to come get us or signal us inside. There is convenience for the staff but not the customers. Very backwards!Petra G.

If I never have to use UHaul again it will not bother me in a bit. With over a month of planning, multiple visits to this location, multiple calls to customer service, the day of pick up the unit was not there due to someone cancelling off my reservation just a day before. Gabriella is the one whom you should look to for keeping her happy as an employee. Went over and beyond unfortanetly all of her hard work got messed up by others.MICHAEL N.

They can care for the vehicles more the truck had no numbers so I was not able to find my unit the truck had the change oil light on then I brought up the issue to the assistant manager on duty and she told me I should of just assumed the truck with no number was my truck super rudeMartha T.

Setting up the move, I was not called about scheduling my UBox drop off. I waited and gave them until the day before to call and I still heard nothing. Then when I tried to call, there was no answer. I had to call UBox help customer service and they told me that there was a note that someone called, spoke to me, and scheduled the Box for an evening drop off time. This is not only false since I spoke with nobody (no UHaul numbers on my call history), but I was unavailable during that evening drop off time and would never schedule a drop off during that time. It was extremely frustrating because then UBox told me to call this location first thing in the morning to reschedule. 54 calls later over the course of the day (with UBox and this location), I spoke with regional scheduling centers, UBox customer service and nobody could get through to the Brighton location. They had to call the manager's cell phone directly a few hrs before their original scheduling time but by this point it was already just before the drop off. Over all, a horrible experience with the scheduling/drop off. The pick up was also not ideal since they only had 1 time frame and if I knew I would be getting the box dropped off in the nightime on Tuesday when it would be too dark outside for me to pack, have 1 day on Wednesday to pack after work, and have it picked up Thursday early morning then I would have picked an additional day on Monday for the drop off. The drop off/pick up driver was helpful and friendly. The movers were PHENOMENAL. They contacted me the moment I paid to the days leading up to it and were very responsive. They were extremely helpful carrying my items and moving them with care. Now on my receipt, it says I have a credit owed to me, which is confusing because I'm not sure where I was overcharged. I called UBox and the person did a lot of searching and can't figure out where or how this happened so I need to now file a claim for their accounting department to look into it further so I'm not excited for this next process as I thought I was done with UHaul. Tl;dr- poor communication from the local Chicago scheduling center/drop off process. GREAT movers in CA. Confusing additional credit now after it is all over.Stephaine V.

The self serve pick up and rental is a bit confusing. It directed me to look for a lockbox with the keys when they were actually locked in the rear of the truck. I plan on sending a more detailed review extensively documenting my arduous journey with the U-Haul Box service. Overall, I am grateful and satisfied our goods arrived safely. That being said, my booking service was extremely disorganized and not customer friendly. As a store, very little that's feasible. As the company U-Haul, customer service contact. It felt impossible to reach a customer service rep and by the time I had all trust had been eroded ( which wasn't much to begin with ), the other thing is as the company U-Haul have very little trust to begin with.Sam B.
Try to come reasonably close when listing the gas level. I was listed as "1/4 tank," but the "E" light came on about a mile from the dealer.Micah M.
Gas level was inaccurate. They told me it was at 3/4 when in fact it was more at just over half a tank. I took a picture. When I came to drop it off, it was just one person who was taking care of someone else with an issue. I waited 20 minutes before he said I can just leave it. Fantastic customer service, there was a mistake on my online reservation but the representative was very knowledgeable about U-Haul systems and was not only able to ensure that I was still able to make my move but even worked diligently to provide a solution at the same cost as my online quote. U-Haul was a poor experience. I called several times asking about access to storage unit times and was given wrong information. A security guard.close the black gate in front of this storage unit 5 or sometimes 10 minutes ealrier than the time storage unit access supposed to be closed. So, several times I was unable to access.my unit because of this issue. This past Saturday I moved all belongings out my storage unit and cleaned it out. When I enter the door it smelled like andeadnrodent or something. I informed one of your employee about the smell and about my unit being cleaned out and she told me leave door up, which I did. Yet, I still received a bill reminder and I had to call them and asked about my unit being check. Also I did not feel safe health wise because everyone was not wearing a mask. My unit had roaches i bought roach traps to place on my door . It looks Like their coming from some one around my unit .. I had been a customer for 4 years and things have improved so much. For example; the rotten problem has improved dramatucally, the storage area doesn't have a foul order or dead nice inside the vins. I rented two vins and because of change in management and staff, I decided to stay a customer for 4 years. However, the first two years as a renter were horrible but because I had an injury at work I couldnt lift anything heavy, that's why I stayed at that location for two more years.
