Firstly, the people we dealt with were very pleasant and professional! No problem with the staff, especially Gendys at the Weston location. Now,I understand our move was on the last day of the month, but we had a truck reserved. It was changed to the Weston location to be picked up at noon. When we arrived at the pick up, there was no truck available. ( I felt like I was in a Seinfeld skit about “ taking the reservation “) Glendys found us a truck at the Warden location ( we were thankful for, she is great!). However, that truck needed to be brought back to that location. Not, Weston where the reservation was for and where we were supposed to bring it back. It was very inconvenient, and I believe mileage fees should have been waived. Also, a notice before we arrived at the location where there was no truck available would have been appropriate. It was wasted time to go to a location were no truck is available.

I will not recommend the Sheppard and bayview location. My moving out was a nightmare thanks to this location. I had booked a 15feet truck a month prior and when I got there they didn't have it. They simply asked me if I wanted to cancel it. I told them to find a truck for me so they sent me to warden. The staff there was very nice, the manager and a new employee, her name is Day. Thanks to them I was able somehow to carry out my moving. I will not go back to Uhaul Sheppard and bayview location. Avoid it please

I purchase uhaul services because - honestly, nobody else offers a comparable service. it doesn't matter the location you go to, it's the same problem period. 1.) For a variety of reasons, It takes too long to get in and out when picking up equipment. 2.) The equipment is ofter, poorly maintained; 3.) It is just mind blowing that your engagement proses for singing out equipment involves your staff employees using their personal mobile devices to capture customers personal identification; 4.) It seems there are so many steps in your sign in process that have broken steps of logic, the entire process from signing out equipment all through to signing in or dropping of equipment needs a total review for logic if your ever to improve.

I was supposed to pick up in Toronto and drop off in Whitby. Having to go to Scarborough was a huge inconvenience. In addition, it meant more milage for me which made it more expensive. On top of that, I thought that I was supposed to have some milage included in the fees I paid online but that was not the case. The location was fine but I will never use U-Haul again.

I had a truck get cancelled on me from a different location, so they told me to call this location at 1555 Warden. I called them, and was told they also don't have anything and can't help me. I called the 1-800 number, and they told me there WAS something at Warden, and they booked it for me. I went, got the truck that they apparently didn't have, and went on my way. So I really appreciated feeling like the staff was too lazy to care there.

I will never use uhaul again. Horrific experience. Booked over a month in advance and called twice before to double check, and was (rudely) reassured everything would be ready. We arrive and lo and behold! Nada. My truck isn't there, my truck Will Not be there, and literally EVERYTHING ELSE NEARBY is gone. Then we drive an hour for something we don't want (a smaller open trailer) and wouldn't you know they gave us trouble too. Wouldn't give us any covers to use, even though we obviously didn't plan for an open top trailer, until 4 ohone calls later (one of which i was hung up on after 10 minutes hold). Then! that trailer is broken and they can't give it to us. So we had to be downgraded TWICE over your failures, fought with countless people to get any kind of service, and was delayed 3 hours. I ended up missing my move in time and had to wait another 4 hours after i got there. We also had to do more than one load, doubling our gas bill. I will never use uhaul again, i would rather walk each box individually than ever give you my money.

Despite booking 6-8 weeks in advance they did not have a truck for us. My son was moving from a 3 bedroom apartment and had the elevator booked from 2 to 6. We had a 15 ft truck booked. I waited an hour and was finally able to take a 10 ft truck but lost an hour on the elevator. We had to make 2 trips instead of 1 and we're unable to get everything out. We had to abandon property and are now facing removal charges from the landlord. The manager gave us a $50 rental guarantee credit. We rent often and this was the worst disruptive experience yet

First and foremost, when booking my truck I spoke to two representatives that confirmed and made sure the availability of truck was good to go for my moving day. I get to location and waited 30 minutes just to find out they didnt have my truck ready, then the manager told the lady from location being a man named vibe, to send me to other location where I then had to wait another 40 minutes and still didnt get the truck I needed, they gave me a small truck. What a disaster and late move! I will never use uhaul again, the staff were all unprofessional, system's weren't working, staff is eating at front, laughing, talking about personal information…. Terrible, vibe is also a terrible manager, how dare you.

The fuel truck was 3/8 when I got it. It would be easier if It was full of fuel to return it full. When I asked about it they apologized with a “Yes we know....”. I booked my truck almost a month before my move (one-way trip, pick up from Warden and drop off at Oakville) but 4 days before my move Uhaul called me and said that they don't have a truck. The only way to get the truck was to bring it back to warden(round trip) before 7 pm the same day. They offered a $40 discount and extra km to me. This offer was just the expense to bring back the truck. I had no choice but to accept this offer. When I picked up the truck I asked if there is a way to bring the truck after hours and they said that I would have to check out online. They didn't explain to me the steps on how to do it though, just to follow the steps on a link. I parked the truck in the area they showed me and when I tried to check out online the app never asked me to upload files. For some reason, I was charged another $20 more without knowing the reason. I feel that they are trying to trick you.

The mobile check-in process was a bit lengthy and tricky with the photos. I had to enter a lot of duplicate information in my "check-in" and "pick-up" steps. Otherwise a great experience.

Initially, I have rented for 1 day and extended to 2 days. I have returned around 7.45pm and I got charged for 3 days and i am not happy. I was renting at U haul for a long time and I should not be treated this way. Thanks, Rex

My in-person interaction with their staff was positive. The truck was clean but it was given to me at only 1/4 tank of gas. I was unfairly charged for missing/damaged furniture pads; not only was the charge fully unwarranted, but they charged me 4x their retail price for the pads. Mind your details and document everything.

Honestly, this location has completely restored my faith in Uhaul. The staff there were amazing. Specifically, Everton and Norris (as well as the lady that worked inside at the cash). They went above and beyond to help my husband and I . Because of them I will try to only ever deal with this location!!!! They all deserve a raise!

the customer service was ex excellent, however when I went into storage unit I could see on the bottom of the unit mold spores I could smell it and as I was moving I noticed that the mold was on my couch my mattresses my dresser my deep freezer and as I unpacked some of my clothes and art work and picture frames with wood framing I am very dis pleased as I thought there was tempature control in each unit as well as I was paying insurance on the unit

First vehicle offered was dirty, wet and muddy. After notifying staff a new vehicle was issued. To improve, make orders more clear for online receipts and transactions for customers and staff. I had purchased a mattress bag that was not given at point of pick up because it was not showing on my reservation receipt. Neither of us could go back and check the original order either. Eventually I had reborn the item after showing I had already paid for it online. Make the reservation and add ons more clear.

I rent U-Haul trucks all the time. I don't understand why the process can't be faster. Everytime I have to wait in line for 10-15 mins and then when I get to customer service I have to show them my drivers license even though I uploaded it online. They take forever to process my rental which makes it very frustrating for me. U-Haul needs to figure out a way to make this easier for people who rent often.

I would have definitely recommended this location to friends prior to this barcode scan for after hours drop off. First of all the sign is so high on the wall it's almost impossible to take a picture and the scan didn't work for anyone trying. Myself and several customers were stuck outside trying to figure it out and take many different pictures to hopefully have it work. None of us were successful and we ended up doing a live chat and phoning the 1800 number for assistance on what to do. 45mins later I was successful and was on my way, but left 4 others who were trying what I did exactly and still not getting anywhere. Something has to be off or was that night with the system. After a long day of moving who wants to deal with an extra hour of hassels and possibly late charges that are to no fault of our own?! Then to find an email a few days later claiming I owe almost double of what I paid. I returned truck on time, with correct mileage and gas OVER the amount of what I was supposed to. I rent from uhaul regularly (and always quote correct miles to ensure my intial payment is as close to correct as possible) and this by far was the worst and most frustrating return ever that now has some incorrect extras charges attached. Also going to mention that the pictures required to return the vehicle are only allowed to be taken with live time in your app, which is fine for us to not have copies, but not fine when there is a dispute in the charges. Had I have not been so exhausted from the move and the extra technical scanning barcode issues maybe I would have taken pictures myself to keep in my phone for records. Maybe you can email us copies of the pictures along with our final invoice as it will save the headache of comparisons when there may be a dispute.

I had reserved online a particular storage unit base on it's size. At the time of booking there was one unit left. I had the option of paying at the counter or completing the transaction on line. I choose at the counter. When I arrived I was told the locker wasn't available anymore. I assumed they meant because of me. The staff said no, someone else rented it. When I asked for an explanation they said is was on first come basis. I don't understand how you can book online and have the store override the transaction. As I already booked a truck I was forced to take a smaller unit.

1)Light was required in the storage since it was a 24 accessI selected...I was there until 9pm and I had to use my phone light. 2) When the rain fell water settled in front of my #700 storage and was a Hazzard for me.....with my in and out of the storage, the storage became dirty and I feared I may fall. But apart from the 2 above, all others were good ..

Being on the second floor I found it very inconvenient to move things into and out of my unit. and it didn't effect me thankful, but I did have a huge I beam in the middle of my unit. But other then the price being a little expensive, I WOULD recommend people to your facility

Access to the outside unit is good. Unit very spacious. But outside area is not well lit at night. I had to keep my car headlights on to see what I was doing. Not clear on how security is maintained at night. No security gates. Also I would recommend dropping the $10 charge for 24 hour access since anyone can get into the area at any time of day or night so what are you paying for?

Had a problem with a default lock that was sold to. The keys would not open it and got stuck. They took a few days to resolve the issue and wanted to double charge me for a new one. The sales rep who said that she was acting manager wasn't very nice. Thank God I'm out of there. Wouldn't choose this location again

I opted to move my stuff to another non-Uhaul facility as this one I found to be not only overpriced but also not maintained well. My boxes were damp and right from my first day there I had a terrible time trying to close the locker door (I also had two friends attempt to close it and both struggled as well). Additionally, every time I opened the door or shut it a bunch of sawdust (our what I believe to be sawdust would fall on me). The containers were not in good condition and I was not willing to risk having my stuff in there during the Winter months.

No elevator's!! Had a heck of a time trying to carry stuff up then down those stairs. Dolly's where provided both at top and bottom of stairs but useless on stairs. Not informed of this when I accepted a 2nd floor unit. If I had known stairs were involved wouldn't have accepted a unit on the second floor.

STOP IT! management: wake up to the fact you don't understand what customer service means. Get retrained so that the staff don't get the full brunt of the criticism and harassment because of your blindspots. I would never buy a franchise for that reason. The company is losing millions and they don't know it and probably do care. So sad. Get the president to become ab undercover boss if he/she really care about the huge losses.

Little frustrating that you can't use your own lock especially when you are short on money and have none, yet need to store items so you can get the trailer back and get a refund. The drop off location is not at the storage unit and you are already very stressed with everything else going on that this just adds to it.

I was given an all-in price on the phone and I arrived with my own lock which was a high quality lock. When I came in to rent the van body, I was told I was required to purchase and use a Uhaul lock. That lock was junk and did not even secure through all three portions of the van body door fastener (but my own lock did). The staff were rude on several occasions. additionally, I was taken for the first time, on a golf cart, to see the unit, the driver smashed the roof of the cart on the opening garage door and debris flew at me. The 'gold' lock that goes on the left side of the unit is also a joke. One swing of a tack hammer would open it. Obviously this is just a means of pressuring people into paying more for 24 hour access in addition to forcing people to buy a crappy uhaul lock. The location is not secure and my unit leaked, damaging a $4000 mechanical massage chair. I have, over the years, rented many, many uhaul trucks, mostly for business purposes, but sometimes for personal use (as I did to fill up my vanbody storage rental). I did not rent from uhaul when I emptied it out. Because of your unfair, gauging policies, rude staff, inadequate facilities and the generally poor service (staff would not even provide me a paper receipt a email only) uhaul has lost my business permanently. Your service is terrible!
