Our hitch was installed upside down. We had a trailer for two days and it was so low to the ground we kept hitting the road with the trailer. Very disappointed with the Uhaul service.Rex F.

Very bad experience! The vehicle I rented was fine. The service from the employees was the problem. I'm not including the shocking details here for fear of retribution. I will say if the customer doesn't look or act like the employees you will feel the tension. The worse part is U-Haul is the only option in Toronto for cargo vans and trailers. The customer service it's very bad. They called me three times because the employee lost the keys of the car. I already put $20 gas on the car for 20 kilometres that I did and when I received the bill after dropping of the car notice that they charged me $50 gas plus $30 delivery gas fee for only 20 kilometres that I did with that car. I appreciate Tariq A for leaving the vehicle he was cleaning, to assist me, after running late, my debit card was stuck in machine by the gas pump station close by, and missed the 5:00 PM office front door, that was already closed; he went inside the employee entrance, got contract, checjed vehicle with me, then asked me to get my things out, and he said he could closed the contract if paying by credit card, which he did. the truck returning procedure was the worst I have ever witnessed at any location.Akshay T.
I was sent to this location because my original location in Etobicoke didn't have the truck I booked even though it was guaranteed. I found this location to be very well organized and had a large fleet available. The Rep I dealt with was very nice and professional and made sure she explained everything. Overall was happy with the rental even though had to drive all the way to Scarborough. Head office was able to add some free KM to make up for it.WAQAS A.

Had a problem with a default lock that was sold to. The keys would not open it and got stuck. They took a few days to resolve the issue and wanted to double charge me for a new one. My entire experience from reservation to pick up was absolutely brutal! I reserved a 20' truck with tow dolly 3 weeks prior to need. First call back, I am told that there were NO - 20' trucks in my entire area. The representative was curt and offered no alternatives but a smaller truck. A week before I needed the equipment, I checked my reservation and saw that the wrong date, quickly remedied. I then received a second call advising me on rental date that I needed to pick up tow dolly at a different location (same representative as call 1) again curt etc. Finally able to speak to different representative, I was able to pick up all equipment at the Scarborough location, arranged for pick and was given some extra mileage (thank you). I get to location and they had to scramble to locate one - my wait time almost 2 hours! Atrocious customer service through your customer call centre! Totally unprofessional! I will never ever use U-Haul again and will not recommend your company to anyone!JENNIFER M.

The service I received when I arrived was great; the customer rep was knowledgable and helped me check out my rental vehicle. I returned the vehicle within the rental time window, but it was after hours. The web platform to input mileage and fuel information was TERRIBLE. I tried at least 6 times to upload the photo of the dash and kept getting an error message. I contacted UHAUL via phone and waited over 60 minutes but still never spoke to someone. The next morning I received my final invoice for the rental and was quite upset to see a $20 "after hour service fee" added to my bill. 1. I was never told about this fee by the customer service rep, nor did it appear clearly on any of the things I read online or in person; and 2. WHAT SERVICE did I receive after hours that would require me paying a fee!? There was no one on site to help me with the poorly designed web platform and no one for me to call. I received no service and paid a fee; it makes no sense. I will not be renting a vehicle from UHAUL again and will not be recommending it to friends or family.Catherine R.

The mileage of the cargo van that I was given was in miles, yet, the contract indicated in miles. I had no time to convert the figure so couldn't verify. I opted to move my stuff to another non-Uhaul facility as this one I found to be not only overpriced but also not maintained well. My boxes were damp and right from my first day there I had a terrible time trying to close the locker door (I also had two friends attempt to close it and both struggled as well). Additionally, every time I opened the door or shut it a bunch of sawdust (our what I believe to be sawdust would fall on me). When I went to rent the trailer I asked for 11 PM drop off and they put it for 11 AM by accident. This ended up with someone from U-Haul calling me an hour into my rental time asking why the trailer was not returned. Secondly, The lady gave me the wrong trailer without a ramp. No elevator's!! Had a heck of a time trying to carry stuff up then down those stairs. Dolly's where provided both at top and bottom of stairs but useless on stairs. STOP IT! management: wake up to the fact you don't understand what customer service means. Get retrained so that the staff don't get the full brunt of the criticism and harassment because of your blindspots. I would never buy a franchise for that reason. The company is losing millions and they don't know it and probably do care. So sad. Little frustrating that you can't use your own lock especially when you are short on money and have none, yet need to store items so you can get the trailer back and get a refund.
