It is not Deaf-Friendly accessible, so when I tried to talk to the customer service. I was not sure where could i drop off the uhaul. She was frozen and don't know how to communicate with me. She should write the paper and pen instead of stand and tried to talk orally. Why oral? I am not Hard of Hearing person. I RENTED SEVERAL TRUCKS & TRAILERS OVER THE PAST 5 MONTHS ALL THE TRUCKS EXCEPT FOR ONE HAD,HOLES & LEAKY ROOF THAT DAMAGE MY CONTENTS. MECHANICAL PROBLEMS Eg: Front end sways when braking on the highway, Check engine light on flashing, loose rotten exhaust, excessive exhaust fumes in cab, had to drive with windows down.!! It was a horrible experience using U-hal for the first time, we had to go to 3 different locations even after the reservation was confirmed, I had to spend 60$ extra for uber, moreover the customer care representative was too rude and was shouting and laughing at us as we are struggling to move around in rain, I was offered 50 $ reimbursement initially and now they are denying it, I won't recommend U-Hal to anyone at all.SANDEEP D.

I left my Uhaul rental with the check out person and she said I'm good to leave since I paid by credit card. Upon arriving at home I received a receipt that stated $25 for a cleaning fee and $16 for gas. How is this possible? I cleaned the truck and drove 20km and filled $10.Josef O.

The people were very nice and the installer was very good and polite. The problem is the ordering system. I ordered a hitch and was told it would arrive on a certain date. Not only did it not arrive on that day, it also didn't arrive on subsequent dates that were set. You need a better system to 1) track where the hitches are and 2) notify clients when their hitch isn't ready so they don't waste time and money. I spent $20 on uber when I didn't need to.Norm N.
I haven't used Uhaul in years. I was reluctant to do so this time due to past experiences but I ran out of options. I was taken back by their professionalism, courtesy, and clear knowledge of the business. And when I brought my truck rental back, the gentleman I spoke to in the yard went out of his way to take care of me. Navigating for me the after hours on line return information I needed to fill out to complete the rental. Next time I rent, Uhaul will be my first call. No one else in the business gives this kind of service that I know of and I will be sure to let my friends and family know. great experience, the trailer tacked very well the only thing I would mention is that the ball height above the ground should be noted. I have a higher and lower trailer hitch, I just happened to have the low one on my truck at the time of the rental, and the trailer tongue was riding very low. Still worked out, but I would have preferred the trailer to be level instead of tilted forward. great trailer. The staff were fantastic, very friendly, professional, excellent. There's no person on the pick up spot explaining how to use the truck. The counter person just said your truck is outside. I need to look for the truck myself and no one show me how to lift the truck door up and close it so when I drove the truck I was horned by a third party truck driver stating that the back door of my truck was still open. The call center (head office) was a disaster. First of all they don't know how to make the right appointment (by date) for customers. I had reserved online a particular storage unit base on it's size. At the time of booking there was one unit left. I had the option of paying at the counter or completing the transaction on line. I choose at the counter. When I arrived I was told the locker wasn't available anymore. I assumed they meant because of me. The staff said no, someone else rented it. When I asked for an explanation they said is was on first come basis. I don't understand how you can book online and have the store override the transaction. Access to the outside unit is good. Unit very spacious. But outside area is not well lit at night. I had to keep my car headlights on to see what I was doing. Not clear on how security is maintained at night. No security gates. Had a problem with a default lock that was sold to. The keys would not open it and got stuck. They took a few days to resolve the issue and wanted to double charge me for a new one. I opted to move my stuff to another non-Uhaul facility as this one I found to be not only overpriced but also not maintained well. My boxes were damp and right from my first day there I had a terrible time trying to close the locker door (I also had two friends attempt to close it and both struggled as well). Additionally, every time I opened the door or shut it a bunch of sawdust (our what I believe to be sawdust would fall on me). STOP IT! management: wake up to the fact you don't understand what customer service means. Get retrained so that the staff don't get the full brunt of the criticism and harassment because of your blindspots. I would never buy a franchise for that reason. The company is losing millions and they don't know it and probably do care. So sad. I was given an all-in price on the phone and I arrived with my own lock which was a high quality lock. When I came in to rent the van body, I was told I was required to purchase and use a Uhaul lock. That lock was junk and did not even secure through all three portions of the van body door fastener (but my own lock did). The staff were rude on several occasions. additionally, I was taken for the first time, on a golf cart, to see the unit, the driver smashed the roof of the cart on the opening garage door and debris flew at me. The 'gold' lock that goes on the left side of the unit is also a joke. One swing of a tack hammer would open it. Obviously this is just a means of pressuring people into paying more for 24 hour access in addition to forcing people to buy a crappy uhaul lock. The location is not secure and my unit leaked, damaging a $4000 mechanical massage chair. I have, over the years, rented many, many uhaul trucks, mostly for business purposes, but sometimes for personal use (as I did to fill up my vanbody storage rental). I did not rent from uhaul when I emptied it out. Because of your unfair, gauging policies, rude staff, inadequate facilities and the generally poor service (staff would not even provide me a paper receipt a email only) uhaul has lost my business permanently.
