I was the only client in the store. I had to wait in line to be seen by one of the five associates that was behind a counter. Even though they saw me and made eye contact with me, I had to wait for about five minutes for them to finish their conversation before one of them called me over. Once called over, I had to wait about another 15 minutes JUST for the associate's system to load so that she could find my order and then I had to wait more time for her to confirm everything, etc.!!! So very unacceptable and I am disgusted by how I was treated by this associate afterwards and by everyone at the store. Definitely going with Bristol next time and will recommend that others do the same.

I booked the trailer 2 months in advance for a 8:30am - 5:30 pm period. Upon pickup, I was told the trailer needed to be back by 1:00pm (another customer had it booked). When I showed the uhaul employee the email booking confirmation, she said " that was a head office booking", not their booking. It was completely impossible to have the trailer returned by 1:00pm, but I went along with the instruction so they would give me the trailer. As soon as I left the location, I called as I felt badly that a customer would be looking for the trailer in the afternoon and it would not show up. Nobody picked up after being on hold for 30 minutes. Uhaul called at 1:00pm looking for the trailer and I explained the above. The uhaul employee was, shall we say...not pleasant on the call, stating that I would be charged an extra day and hung up. Needless to say, this whole scenario caused me undue stress on what was already a challenging day. All because of what I am assuming is your over booking policy and most cetainly, poorly trained staff.

Truck was clean however there was several issues. 1. Only 11 blankets in the dozen. 2. Gas was basically empty and I returned it with 1/2 a tank of gas but no credit for the gas. 3. Steering was very loose and driving the truck was very dangerous. Someone with less driving experience would have crashed the truck. It also needs a new driver's seat. 4. Staff was great and very professional. It's a shame that the truck was so bad. I will rent a trailer but not a truck again from your company. Thanks

Avoid this location if possible. I rented a truck for 2 hours and they charged me for 2 days. I made sure to have the truck inspected when I dropped it off, signed the paperwork and was told I was good to go. I've read online this location is notorious for scamming people with extra charges so I was diligent in the way I handled and returned the truck but still got charged extra. It took me hours with calling head office and this location to have the issue resolved. Got hung up on twice while on hold. One rep's name was Steve. I emailed the general manager weeks ago and no response. Would recommend video taping every interaction here if you can. I will not be coming back here

Line was lo g in order to get to the counter. It was scheduled for pick up in Richmond Hill. Nobody called me and they said they did, which was not true. I had to go all the way to Scarborough, delaying my moving and spending my gasoline. Truck had almost no breaks. Also the sensor for the hand brakes was apparently malfunctioning which caused the bio to not stop all the time. Horrible experience. Ask for a partial refund to not feel the way I am feeling about your company.

The left trailer light, although working when I left the facility, pretty quickly stopped working so I had a defective light for the entire period of the rental.

From check-in to check-out all went well. Our trailer was hooked up for us, and the interior cleaned before we left. The young man who helped was personable and nice. My only suggestion is to advise people more clearly that if you are dropping off your rentals after hours, you need to stay onsite, as the drop off process requires location services from your mobile device. So trying to do it from your home won't work. All-in-all I recommend this location.

I used 55 miles , branch try to charge me double the price for absolutely no reason . They refused to give me a receipt, or even an email . This branch is fruad am never renting from there again .

20 ft truck i rented was not there due to being not returned, so they gave me credit and 15 ft truck. That truck wouldn't start. Despite these problems staff was efficient as they could be. You need to staff more, there were only 2 girls and line was out the door. I tried to do self pick up but app stopped working at the take your photo spot, so had to wait. Also the truck that I was suppose to have was rented 5days prior I heard the lady say, that should have been followed up on long before I got there. Girls were very friendly, professional and patient despite the long lines of irritated people they had to deal with.

I didn't like that I was only informed the day before the trip that the truck was to be picked up at this location rather than my preferred location which was very close to where I lived. I paid for an expensive Uber ride to get there because it was so far from home. I requested 2 moving dollies (not the platform dolly) only to be told on the day that none were available. I therefore had to scramble to make another plan on the day of the move above the stress of preparing for the day. Nobody really cared that UHaul broke its promises.

I reserved a 15' truck with a dolly in Markham with one month advance. However, I received a call from the Markham unit trying to change the schedule a couple days before my moving date, then I received a second call telling you guys didn't have the 15' truck anymore and changed to a 10' truck AND changed the location to Scarborough. On top of all that, when I came to get the truck, the person didn't have ANY truck available and just offered me a Van without dolly by the way. I had to accept because I had no option anymore as I had people waiting and elevator booked. I had to do 5! trip, load and unload when I expect to do only one! She person who attended me said I will get a discount on the kilometer charge but after I saw the charge I ended up been charge more, had way more work and I think you guys just screw me up. Very unfair treatment. Very unfair charge to me.

Collecting a vehicle is nothing short of painful at the warden location. I checked in online. The staff were uninformed. They can't find The information on their system… They waste the customers time fumbling around… The trailer was filthy… I had asked for a motorcycle trailer. I received a utility trailer without a wheel chock… This is my second dismal experience with the location in two recent rentals. The pick up location was surprised I was going one way although my reservation clearly says so. It is like they could not navigate their system.... There is no sense of urgency or acknowledgment of the customer. I do not intend to purchase services from this location again. If you are listening this location needs a serious upgrade in staff qualifications.

When I dropped off the traders we discovered the restraining clip for the receiver was missing. We suspect the staff here took the clip off to put on the chains and forgot to reattach it. Fortunately the pressure kept the pin in place, but it could have been bad.

I rented a cargo van, with partially filled gas tank. I put on 50km and filled it with 10l of gas (estimated 20l/100 km, prob. in excess of what I used). To my surprise $15 was added to my bill. UHaul does not respond to emails and every time you call it is over 20min on hold, listening again and again what a great company UHaul is. Finally I got hold off Marian(?) who was repeating like a broken record that I returned the truck with less gas on fuel gauge (totally oblivious to the fact, that when i picked the truck, parking was uphill and when dropped it off it was downhill - which will affect gas gauge. UHaul is company which uses tactics of tiring off customers by ignoring them on hold (today 23min) and sarcastically wishing me best to fight $15 with head office. Thankfully there are other options than UHaul. I will remember that next time, and so should you.

Damaged trailer, was not told when I picked up the equipment. Equipment was returned on Nov 2nd at 12 noon while location was still open. Went inside and told them of the return and they said: that's fine we will check it in as returned shortly. Location checked it in the next day and then charged me for an additional day.

We were at the location for almost an hour. We waited for the initial allocated van. Then they changed to another van, for which we had to wait again. No reason was given to us for why they switched vans. As a result, we were late for work

I booked a trailer 3 weeks in advance at a nearby location only to find out a day prior to pick and after online check-in that I had to drive half an hour away to pick up the trailer at 1555 Warden Avenue; not a pleasant surprise. I had scheduled everything around my pick up time and location and at the new location, upon calling, I had to change the pick up time so to avoid waiting. Again, although I arrived before opening time and my scheduled pick up time, I had to wait an additional half hour to be served and then another 20 minutes to get someone in the yard to help me with locating and hooking up the trailer. Not something anyone would want especially already stressed out about everything else that happens with a move.

Ensure representative walk through the customer and hand over the vehicle instead of just handing over the keys and asking Cx to look for the vehicle in the parking area. Also, show the Cx where he/she can drop off the keys after hours of operation. And importantly sanitize the vehicle after drop off.

First off, I would like to say that I did not choose this location. I reserved my truck at a location on Weston rd, which was close to my home, but Uhaul re-routed me across the city to this location in Scarborough because they said the truck that I reserved online was no longer available. They told me this at 8 pm the night before I was supposed to pick up the truck at 9:30 am the next day. I rented 2 dollies and furniture pads, but they were not available. I was told that this location has not had dollies available for a long time, but the system still allows people to reserve them. Almost every person that reserved a truck requested dollies and the staff (who I don't blame at all) had to repeatedly apologize and say they didn't have any available. That's very frustrating when you're moving and you're relying on this additional equipment, which the system makes you think you've rented, but it's only available for purchase in the store for $80. Also, the app doesn't allow you to fully completed the check-in process so you have to waste time at the desk after waiting in a line up that almost snakes around the building.

Left side head light not working, need brighter light if end up moving night time. I was charge for extra day yet I returned truck 13 hours after I got the truck. Also, trying to confirm return in the location @11:00ish P.M. , but website not allowing me to share location. Which is weird when I'm in front of the store and I'm already logged in the sites but not allow to do last steps. But overall it's alright I guess, jobs done. It would be nice if I was not charges for an extra day that I did not use the truck. (Got all the screenshot of websites not allowing me to share location, and all other info needed). But I guess it doesn't matter my card was already been charged. At the end of the day, still thankful that our moves were done.

I misunderstood the website while I was trying to reserve a large vehicle a week before my move. When I arrived at the u-haul store we realized I had not completed the reservation correctly. However, the customer service representative was so helpful in finding a smaller vehicle that worked perfectly for my move. She even checked nearby locations for us for other options. She was very understanding, friendly, and efficient.Thank you for making this stressful time an enjoyable experience!

Honour the reservations made online - i had made a one-way rental from a pick-up location close to my home. Less than 48 hours before pick-up day I received a call in which i was TOLD my one-way was not possible and the pick-up location would be changed from a location 10mins away from my home to one that is 45mins away from my home. Overall experience is 2/10. The customer service at the 1555 Warden location was very good; the associate was knowledgable and effective. Just not impressed with the last minute changes. And just because the website and confirmation email after making the reservation says that the reservation will be confirmed 24 hours before reservation date, doesn't make this policy OK. I will strongly consider NOT using UHaul for any future moves.

I was given an all-in price on the phone and I arrived with my own lock which was a high quality lock. When I came in to rent the van body, I was told I was required to purchase and use a Uhaul lock. That lock was junk and did not even secure through all three portions of the van body door fastener (but my own lock did). The staff were rude on several occasions. additionally, I was taken for the first time, on a golf cart, to see the unit, the driver smashed the roof of the cart on the opening garage door and debris flew at me. The ‘gold’ lock that goes on the left side of the unit is also a joke. One swing of a tack hammer would open it. Obviously this is just a means of pressuring people into paying more for 24 hour access in addition to forcing people to buy a crappy uhaul lock. The location is not secure and my unit leaked, damaging a $4000 mechanical massage chair. I have, over the years, rented many, many uhaul trucks, mostly for business purposes, but sometimes for personal use (as I did to fill up my vanbody storage rental). I did not rent from uhaul when I emptied it out. Because of your unfair, gauging policies, rude staff, inadequate facilities and the generally poor service (staff would not even provide me a paper receipt a email only) uhaul has lost my business permanently. Your service is terrible!

The clerk was awesome. One suggestion: When a clerk at the desk is serving people in the line; it is too much for her or him to answer inquiries on the phone at the same time. Add more staff.

Rent increased 3 TIMES in ONE year. We had the 24 hour access but a few times the alarm had gone off making it really inconvenient and loud to move things around! Expensive to rent. Staff were nice.
