The two employees i spoke to at pickup & drop off were nice and helpful to me. Both were quick and easy to do. No issues with that. However the truck had all of the dash lights on, check engine lights etc. Driving over a certain limit felt like it was gonna fall apart at times. And I reserved a dolly but they only had ones you could purchase. That's very inconvenient for ppl who are moving and expecting to have the right equipment in order to move things. Get more equipment or don't have it available to reserve if you don't actually have it for ppl to use when they come to pick up.

The young man that helped me at checkin was awesome. Super nice, polite, fast, and efficient. Unfortunately he had to cope with a coworker who was ill tempered, rude, and not interested in helping customers at all.

When I moved in my stuff to storage and upgraded to a bigger unit, I was given two different prices. The unit on the first floor price was higher than the unit on the throes floor, C304 for $246.00. After making the payment and transferred to the bigger unit, payment cleared by the bank, the previous store manager increased the price to be the same as the one in the first floor. In person discussions with the store manager, he requested documentation for the $246.00 payment. And even promised a free month with the documentation. I submitted my bank statement with the $246 payment. Rescinded on the offer. Put my unit on a lien, added additional fees and charges for late payment. I submitted my documentation to the Uhaul top management. All the extra fees I had paid were returned. Moving out of the C304 storage unit after escaping from a toxic, hostile living situation, I found a safe house. I got financial assistance from the Church of transfiguration, At Vincent the Paul to pay for my August 2023 unit rental. They sent a check. After 20 days, the Uhaul Piedmont store never found the check. I used my last money to pay for the rental and vacated by September 12,2023 to avoid another month rental. I kept the store manager aware of the vacated unit to no avail. Per conversation with the store manager, she wanted to charge me for an extra month. On September 26,2023 I agreed to closed the account due to the missing check. And the same day the uhaul Piedmont store tried to charge the additional month to my card without my authorization or knowledge. I have documented my previous comments and sent them via email ti the top UHaul management and the store manager. As a loyal UHaul customer since 1977, you have some bad actors within your organization that are affecting your brand loyalty. Thanks. Juan

The people in this location are very RUDE!!! They don't check the trucks when returned!! They OVER CHARGE you for everything!!! I suggest using the location in the 5000 block of Roswell Rd Sandy Springs. They are very helpful and kind. Will help you with any problems you have!!!

I booked my truck reservation a week in advance and confirmed it the day prior. I chose the Piedmont location because it is only a mile from my apartment. While booking the truck, U-Haul solicited me with moving company help, so I booked a 8:30 am truck with 9am movers. As I was arriving to pick up the truck, the U-Haul attendant called my cellphone to inform me that they did not have a truck for me there. I pulled up anyway to confirm the strange information to find no customer parking available. I then received a text from U-Haul informing me that my truck was available in Smyrna 20 miles away! Granted, the movers were already at my apartment waiting on me. After half an hour of back and forth, someone returned a truck that the attendant offered me. I drove back over and picked it up.

The Van smelled and was not clean. I would expect the interior and cargo bay to be vacuumed well. The cloth seats should also be shampooed at least annually. The staff were nice though.

I was supposed to pick up the equipment in a different location and somebody changed it to the one at Piedmont without notifying, I had to get an Uber to get to Piedmont and another one after returning the equipment. My reservation was made to pick up the equipment at 151 14th St NW in Atlanta an I also spoke with a customer representative to confirm that location. Other than that the service was excellent... but.... please take in consideration the location reservation.

Initial setup and paperwork in the u-haul system took exorbitant amount of time. It took almost 45 mins to complete. Including standing in line. The process took over an hour.

The back slide door locked and we were stuck for 3 hrs waiting on a guy with a crow bar to open it. Also waited for an hour returning because there was one guy (gentleman who got me set up and was the best part of the experience) working and apparently the other guy showed up an hour late. This location needs better management.

The van did not even have 3,000 miles and there was NO air conditioning in the van. It was about 92 degrees today. I said something to the attendant and he said that the hot air had to blow out first and it would get colder. It was just blowing HOT air. Please fix the van for the next renter.

This is the second time that I have rented a U-Haul trailer along with 2 dozen furniture pads. The pads were not included in the pickup. I had to drive to another location to get the pads. No one mentioned that the pads needed to be folded until I returned the trailer in Atlanta where I was rudely informed that I would be charged a "clean up fee" because the pads were not folded. I'd like to charge U-Haul for the time and expense incurred because I had to chase down the pads that I paid for and load them myself. I feel that U-Haul should not charge me anything in addition to the trailer rental. For the next customer - provide what was paid for

I was charged a cleaning fee for dirt that was caused by a previous customer. We didn't think of the issue as a big deal when we picked the truck. I have pictures to show that the dirt was already there. I believe that the truck wasn't checked thoroughly before handing it over to us. I have raised dispute against the charge providing the pictures.

I rented a truck for one day and when I returned it, the workers said they would take care of the return later that day since the internet was down. It did not get taken care of that day and their program thought that I had rented it for 2 more days and was charged for that. I still have yet to get reimbursed and I've had to call multiple times to try and get this taken care of.

the app reservation experience was good and convenient. but when I came to pick up the van, I had to go inside to get the keys, which I guess I knew had to happen but wasn't clearly spelled out in the app (it told me where to find the van, and I kinda assumed I could just pick it up). Staff was efficient, I'd rent here again - renting the van was definitely cheaper than paying for furniture delivery by 50%!

My unit leaked all over my belongings, I was told someone would look at it on Monday … obviously I’m not going to let my stuff continue to get leaked onto so I had to move it out and was told the manager would call me the next day . I didn’t receive a call until 2 weeks later when I was at work and tried to call back the number they left and was sent to an automated system .

It took two hours just to get a truck. The first one had a check engine light and we had to turn around to get the back unlocked. We got it all the way back to the site to learn that the back was full of someone else's stuff. Took it all the way back to exchange. Staff had an attitude about who was at fault. Then we get a new truck, but when we go to return it another staff says you were supposed to have this back earlier. We paid for three hours and it took two just to get a working vehicle. Terrible service and won't be back.

It was unfortunate that the internet was down causing difficulties in checking out equipment and proceeding with peoples orders, perhaps more emphasis on tech or back up options needs to be improved at this location. However, Chris Rukundo was in charge of handling all the people from backed up reservations, trying to get the internet while coming up with options so that we could all proceed with minimal delays. I wanted to recognize that Chris did a great job, excellent customer service even when other people were getting short for the delays, he was very helpful in guiding us for next steps and he was very on top of all of the tasks he was juggling, very intentional with his actions and efficient. For a difficult situation he handled it very well, give this man a raise!!

II rented at this location on 7/19 and retuned the truck on 7/20. I rated this location as poor because the woman working there on 7/20 was rude, and unprofessional. She was a a very poor representative for U-Haul. If all U-haul employees were as rude and unpleasant as she, was I would never use U-Haul again. It appears she very much dislikes engaging with people. She should not be working where she has to interact with customers. I am sorry I did not get her name or I would have included it here. Conversely, the initial person I interacted with; Chris was just the opposite. He was pleasant professional and helpful.

The app didn't really work at all for me on the pick up or drop off without staff intervention. Jymika (sp?) was amazingly helpful and friendly. She turned have been a very frustrating situation into something enjoyable. I looked forward to interacting with her when I returned the truck. She was helping two other customers and being just as kind, patient, and friendly as she had been with me earlier. I'm glad for this review opportunity.

The Uhaul was not clean (cigarette ash on the passenger seat) and departed with just under a half tank of fuel. All worked fine. The mobile check-in process is very tedious. It would be great if more of this could be done in advance of actually arriving.

I was one of many people that showed up only to learn there was no equipment for reservation made in advance. Only 1 person was working, I stood in line for 45 minutes to learn there was no equipment. Luckily, someone returned a van right before I was about to give up, so I got a dirty van 1.5 hours late.

I was charged a $25 cleaning fee. Only thing left in the truck were 2 sandwich wrappers and a drink. The 1/4 of a tank extra in gas I left in the truck should have taken care of that.

I was given a truck with a lock on the back and keys I received did not open the lock. I had to call roadside assistance, and meanwhile, had movers who I was paying by the hour, sitting around because they could not fill the truck with furniture. Service at the U-haul location was terrible and I will certainly never rent a U-Haul from that location ever again

Truck was serviceable, staff were friendly. Truck was dirty. We swept before our move and got a lot of dirt from the floor. Moving pads were dirty too. I reserved moving dolly but none were available. I returned truck in better shape than I picked it up

Took over an hour to check in due to short staffing. While the staff were doing the best they could, the situation was awful overall. When finished with check-in, the vehicle I received was out of gas and had incorrect mileage by 1,100 miles, so I had to swap out for a new van. And none of the request equipment was available. This resulted in me getting my vehicle an hour and a half after my original reservation start time, and resulted in a late return.

My only concern was that my New storage units locking apparatus did not feel secure. It moved when I secured it with my lock and I'm a little concerned about that. There wasn't another unit that size to move into on 6/24/23 so I'm hopeful Management addresses that discrepancy ASAP so that I feel secure in knowing my gear is safe. Otherwise, the move was effortless ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The Manager on staff Saturday 6/24/23 was excellent. Her ability to multitask was Amazing and effortless. She took care of every customer as if it were her first and I was completely amazed at how calm she stayed even under the pressure of 7 people waiting while she took care of me and another customer. Wowwwww totally Awesome is an understatement. When I brought to her attention that my storage units locking system looked tampered with she immediately gave me reassurance that she would call someone to address the issue and, notify me as well. I am so happy she was there Saturday🤗🤗🤗🤗 to make my transition from one unit to the next unit smooth. Thank you for another excellent customer service experience with Uhaul🥰🥰🥰

How dare you make your first claim that i was somehow criminally liable when the truck has been parked at your location the whole time. Disgusting behavior.

The staff were very helpful. I was greeted immediately by the staff upon arrival. I was provided a tour by staffer Steidrick of the facilities units (I was unsure of the size). Parking at this location can be tricky especially when there is a lot of rental equipment in storage. I’ve had a few issues with that causing me to avoid this location when I bough moving supplies even though I had a rental unit there. Other than that relatively clean and secure, had a few minor issues with the gate but nothing that couldn’t be solved with another card swipe.

It is not a great location for the storage facility as it is a super tight space with not a lot of room to move and my main complaint, well really only complaint, is that the door to the area where my storage unit was, was pretty much always blocked by a truck or trailer making it difficult to navigate with boxes or items in hand. Also, it made it impossible to use a dolly so had to carry everything in and out by hand. If I had not only been using the facility for a short time while my floors were being redone, I would have moved to a different unit. Burt I would not go back to this facility mainly because it was a poor location, really too small to maneuver around in especially when multiple people where there at the same time. Service and staff were good. Just the location was poor.

Called 100 times could never get through to someone at the actual facility. Tons of water damage. I had bought insurance but when I moved my stuff out, the manager said I’m not gonna close out your unit just to make sure they know it was yours and you won’t get charged for it. Completed the move out online because I didn’t trust him and Got charged for a second month when the unit was empty. STAY TF AWAY

I have used U-Haul services many other times, from various other locations. They have all been very good. This experience, however, was by far, the worst I could have imagined. My storage reservation specifically stated a climate-controlled unit, but I was given a non-climate control unit. I was never informed before hand or even during the check-in. I called back several times wanting to speak to the manager, Trell, but was given excuses that she was not available and rudely dismissed. That reservation with a Rent-Now promotion would have provided me a free lock, but told I needed to pay, and so I was charged unnecessarily. By the way, I rented a cargo van in the process. The worst part was yet to come, one month later, when I came to pull my contents out. Again, I reserved a cargo van. Pick up was noon on Saturday. I flew into Atlanta, and was running late due to an issue with the rental vehicle at the airport. I arrived at the Piedmont location at 12:45, and told that my reservation had been cancelled. There should have been a courtesy call asking, but nothing, not even considering that I had an active storage unit rented there. Staff was rude, and pushed me off to the Peachtree location where that reservation was close to not being honored, if not for my pleading. When I came back with a truck rented elsewhere, I asked to rent a hand truck dolly, and again not allowed, even though there were 6 of them available and the store was going to close in 3 hours. Again, I asked to speak to Trell, again I was denied. Staft and management were just so unprofessional. This was the absolute worst experience.

I got locked in on one instance because I wasn’t told any time limitations. When I cleared my storage unit, the employee on duty was made aware before she hurriedly left for the day and told me she would deactivate my access that day. But never made a note in the system. This date was before my free 30 days was up, I called to schedule the walk through the day before my 30 days and was told I couldn’t proceed with the walk through until I paid mY outstanding balance. I explained the situation and the so called manager on duty (not Trell) said that even though the employee neglected to note that I was moving out on a date prior to my 30 days I still had to pay.

I was blatantly ignored when I walked in and had to ask multiple times to get answers to questions or to get help. I have never seen worse customer service at a Uhaul than at this location. When I was trying to rent a truck to move out of the storage facility, the staff was nowhere to be found for more than 2 hours after opening time (maybe longer). I was forced to go to another Uhaul location to rent a truck because they didn’t weren’t there when they were supposed to be.

The storage areas were easily accessible and clean. The carts were useful , but some had bad wheels and did not work well. The bathrooms were always filthy and in bad repair with broken toilets and water on the floors. The toilets were left unflushed and feces on the seats.

When I arrived she couldn’t find my reservation and I asked her did she need my reservation number she said she couldn’t look that so eventually she found it only to tell me they had nothing available I threatened to call customer service because I drove all the way from Cumming then she made a phone call and I sat and until she did every move out just to find me a unit that was somewhat comparable but I ended up with a non climate controlled unit on the fifth floor very dissatisfied with my experience because it set me back I was in the location at least an hour with a line of customers behind and it also resulted in me having to extend my truck rental an additional day because both places where I reserved through uhaul dropped the ball putting my day off schedule and incurring extra cost

Advertised as 24-hour storage but was not the case upon arrival. Representative in the phone was not helpful and coerced me into getting a unit that she insinuated was the same as the one I had reserved, turns out it was a wine unit. The gate code did not work so when I came back the next day and discovered the situation with the wine unit I tried to explain to the manager that I already had a drive up unit reserved and he stated that because it was a few minutes after 6 he couldn’t help me so I’m on day 3 of sorting this out. Very disappointed as I have been a U-Haul customer for 10 years and never had issues like this before.

Trell really helped me in this inflation being a single human with no kids i have been forced to do the unthinkable... I couldn't not renew my lease because I don't make 3 times the rent and I needed a place to store my things while I stay in airbnb till I find a better living arrangement... when I got in 10 minutes before close and I know workers want to go home but that was the only available Reservation I could find.. Trell had no attitude, she helped 3ppl and me all at the same time, never once was she overwhelmed she worked well under the pressure... and again very informative on the company!

I was given the wrong address online and it wasn't open when I arrived during the hours of operation, then they gave me the correct address but the first unit they gave me a unit too small after I told them I needed a bigger size. They then gave me a bigger unit but it had stuff in it so I had to wait for it to be cleaned before we can put our stuff in....When asked for compensation i was looked at as if I was crazy! I'm honestly glade that my stuff isn't going to be in there long... The whole experience was just too much for me.
