I reserved a cargo van weeks in advance get to location they dont the van, then they found 1 van on lot but cannot locate keys..so switched to 10 ft truck they are all reserved. So had to get a 15ft..very unprofessional and ill never use this location / uhaul again.

My rental was originally scheduled to be picked up at another location, Grayson Auto Sales on Memorial DR. When I arrived at the appointed time and got to the head of the line, they informed me that the van I'd reserved was actually in the shop. Evidently someone put it back on-line, according to the woman I spoke to. They did make a call and determined that there was a van available for me at Peter St, so I went there. They gave me a price quote for 170 miles, even though I had created the reservation with a 270 mile estimate. The amount was roughly what I expected, but for 100 miles less than the original website quote. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and assumed it was because your website is faulty, having the incorrect discount / 24 hour mile inclusion information or whatever. When I was standing in both of the lines, I heard that other people had also been asked to go to new locations to secure their rentals. Please fix your reservation system! I'm going to see about going to your competition in the future, not just which u-haul location, but U-haul itself. I hope I'll have better service at Budget or whoever else is renting moving equipment.

Noon the day before my expected container drop off I was notified that it wasn't going to happen because they did not have a driver. I had to load up my contents that next day, I didn't have the option they proposed of pushing it out a week. I was left to figure out what to do on my own and I ended up hiring the Move Help to deliver my container from another location.. That next day UHaul called to tell me they could get a driver, but I already had to arrange something else. Since that time, the original location has been confused and called me multiple times because they couldn't update their records to show that they never helped me. Online it shows multiple orders. Over 3 weeks I must have received 5 calls from the original location about my order that they never delivered on! Even after I already have my container delivered to my destination I was getting calls from my origin location asking about my containers. I called the main UHaul number to ask them to clean up my records to avoid confusion and was told she could not. Your locations do not provide consistent service and they obviously are unable to communicate with each other. I found the entire experience annoying and overly complicated and wouldn't recommend it to others. The one exception is the UHaul delivery service at my destination. Even though they didn't deliver on my originally requested date, they were thorough, on time and very nice to deal with.

If there was another truck rental in town, I'd use it. But you are my neighborhood spot and I want you to be good. You can do it!

Your system seems to be top notch but there are a few glaring problems. I had a lot of questions and it seemed like i was alway on hold in Phoenix for a long time. I tried to get a hitch installed and the hitch did not arrive in time even though I had ordered it 2 weeks in advance. The local usual dealer did not seem aware or concerned that i was renting a trailer the next day. It sometime seemed like the local people on the ground didn’t really know what was going on. The system seem to be run from a central location and none of the downstream people were aware of the big picture.

I reserved an appliance dolly and utility dolly but neither were available when I arrived to pick up the truck. This caused a bit of an inconvenience for me. But the pick up and drop off process were easy. The customer service rep that assisted me was really nice as well.

Customer service is very slow at this facility. The personnel is not in a hurry at all to move the line at all! Although in house service is at professional m, the manager is. I had to deal with the manager who proved to be quite professional and pro active. My vehicle worked out okay, but had not had a oil change at the designated time and the manager explained that the service light might come on but it is okay. Of course, I felt nervous and asked if it was possible that the vehicle might not perform as desired. He said that it was okay. I asked if he would give me a discount because I could not wait to see if someone would check in another van. He said that he did not know when that may be, so I asked if he would give me a discount and he agreed. Hence, my experience turned out okay, but I think this facility could benefit in being more professional and follow through with finding a vehicle like one has reserved.

This location was very nice and the employees were nice and helpful. The only complaint is that the contract states the gas tank had to be 3/4 full, even though when I picked it up the tank was a little less than halfway full. So I had to return it with more gas than I received it with, which is stupid to me. Filling up the uhaul with gas was extremely expensive so spending extra to get the tank to where the contract states it needs to be at was upsetting. Also, when I returned the uhaul, they let me know that since the tank as full as it needed to be, they would have to charge me $60, so instead I just took it to a gas station and it was less than $40 to get it to 3/4th full.

The main reason for my lower rating was the checkin process. The poor guy checking me in really didn't seem to have a good grasp on what was going on and what stock they had outside (dolly). Otherwise it was fine.

The shift stick what u put in gear something was wrong with it, had to leave the truck running So I could put it in start. My grandson left his bag in the truck we had to call them and when we got it his Marta card was missing. When I call 4 hours later and ask did they find it she said yes.

The service was good, nice people. The truck was ok. It had been sitting, so was covered in sap and bird feces. There was trash from someone else's move behind the seats, which I wasn't going to touch. The passenger side (specifically, the inside of the door) was full of ants. There was no food in the truck and fortunately I caught it before they got to my purse and backpack. I did have to pull into a station and spray. It rained during my drive and water leaked inside the cabin, soaking a couple of the boxes.

I was charged for gas even though I had put in enough gas for the miles I drove. If the attendant had offered to review the invoice/receipt be reviewed in full before the charge was processed, we could have caught that. Now it's going to take a lot of effort to make me whole.

The vehicle was fine but the customer service was poor. I was charged twice on my card and called to resolve it. Thought it wouldn't be too difficult but I kept getting the run around. I waited on the phone for an hour or 2 just to have the manager make up some story about trouble outside they needed to take care of. It's a new day but I don't expect much from them. Tiffany said she would call but I really doubt it. Probably go to different location next time.

This is a very high traffic store. Additional agents need to be on duty during daily pick hours. This is an area that's being revitalized and fast returning to its prior standing as part of a great historic district.

They didn't have any of the equipment I needed. They reported the gas level at 1/2 tank and it was actually 1/4. I drove 112 miles but they charged for 224. Currently on the hold with U-Haul to get my refund.

Only 1/4 employees in the office were wearing a mask....in the middle of a pandemic! This includes the manager who did not wear a mask, and the woman who checked me in who refused to wear one even after I asked her to. This is completely irresponsible and unacceptable. Please address and correct this ASAP. I will say that the call center staff was very helpful in making our reservation.

I would like to get the 50 dollars guarentee. My reservation was for 9am. I was in line at that time. The associate was training new employee and stopped taking care of me and took care of that person. What do I need to do to get this? I got my truck around 10am

My first issue with 300 Peters St Uhaul location was making a reservation online. I was able to choose a pick up time of 8:00am for my truck rental. 300 Peter St does not open until 9:00 am on sunday.  My second issue was with the general manager. After I approached him to ask about my reservation, he quickly caught an attitude and rudely stated that We ARE NOT OPEN, WE DON'T OPEN UNTIL 9! After a conversation with myself and another customer who had the exact same issue, he let us in and proceeded to start checking us out. He then questioned a Uhaul storage customer about why he was in the building, how did he get in, etc. The customer politely stated "That he had a storage unit and he was allowed to enter his unit. The General manager began to argue with the gentleman and stormed off saying" I don't have time for this". This was very unprofessional in my opinion. You don't treat paying customers like they are a burden, when their business helps your business.  Needless to say, I will never shop at Uhaul again.

Everyone at this location was extremely professional. They salvaged the experience of two mishaps at another location, where I had a scheduled time/location and I couldn't pick up the truck.

Was no help and was told (with attitude) workers were busy doing other thing. I personally observe a worker diligently helping non customers while actual customers waited in line. I got no details on the gas issues and no paperwork to determine if I wasnt overcharged because there was no mileage details at the time of pickup.

I would say have the vehicle ready at the original pickup location. I had to pay for an uber rather than walk to the original pickup location. Someone from Uhaul could have just had the truck dropped off also. That would be a nice experience. Like with some other places.

The mileage you gave me did not allow me to reach my destination. I truly did not have the opportunity to go from the pick up location to my house, drive to the new place, and return the truck. In fact, because I had to turn around a couple of times to find the location, I ran over the mileage. It would have been nice to add an extra 20-30 miles to provide some buffering. Otherwise service was good, even though my truck was not available on time.

I Rented a Cargo Van because my wife had a job setting up for a wedding. We was able to put all of her stuff in the van. It saved us a lot of time because we would have had to load my pickup, her car, and my daughter's car if we didn't rent the van. It worked great.

The Building is very old and full of rodents . I had to trash about one half of my belongings. Shared mice drippings and then roaches with Mr. Oday and 2 staff members named Tiffany. Everyone was kind and helpful giving me mice killer and roach spray.

I received my reservation late. The truck had been flooded because the window had been left down. The inside of the trailer was wet as well. The tire pressure monitoring system was on. No other trucks were available. This was the worst experience I've ever had with Uhaul.

When closing our unit, the staff had locked us out saying our payment was overdue, when in fact our balance was zero as we were on autopay. When we notified office staff, they were apologetic and asked a team member to unlock the unit. No one had the lock for the key that Uhaul placed on our unit, and we sat for two hours outside of our locked storage unit waiting to empty it’s contents, until someone finally found the right key. No one accepted responsibility and everyone blamed one another. No sense of urgency to fix the problem that was caused by Uhaul was in place by the employees, and we had to keep coming down every 20 minutes to ask for an update. Only one staff member at the front desk was friendly and actively trying to solve our problem, and apologetic on behalf of the company.

I moved into a unit for no more than a month, a week or two to be exact. I told the person on staff at the moment that I was vacating the unit and called back to reconfirm and that everything was taken care of, that was August 2019. Here we are in 2020 they are send emails, letters and phone calls about a storage until that I left a year ago. Even calling to the property directly and speaking with whoever the acting anything is for the day is, I get no luck. In the past in other cities I have used U-Haul but after dealing with this and not being able to get this matter taken care of, I will no longer patronage a business who communication skills is anything less than professional and accessible.

Though staff eventually answered questions and resolved issues, my overall experience with the customer service here was poor. I was there Friday, Saturday and Sunday - two out of three days my experience was severely lacking or an inconvenience to my move out from my apartment. On Friday the manager was rude and impatient in communication with me. First, he seemed frustrated because he couldn’t hear me through my mask, then he got an attitude while gesturing for me to hand him my card, despite the card machine being within my reach. There was simply a better way for a employee to talk to a customer, let alone Black man talk to a Black woman, or human being to a human being. On Saturday morning, there were so many people in line that we were there for an hour which delayed our move. Saturday evening when I arrived to move my stuff in, we had a delay with the elevator and finding our unit because some of the lights were out. We also stumbled upon a leak in the ceiling. When we found it, my units door was broken and there was stuff still inside. The staff member transferred me to another unit which still had a lock on it. She then showed us some other units with issues such as they had roach motels in them or weren’t climate controlled. She did inform us ahead of time of the latter. All out of her control but clearly the system needs to be updated with accurate info. We had been up and down the elevators 5 times already with heavy furniture and she informed us that the building was about to shut down and lock us in so we gave up and tried to get a refund. The machine wouldn’t not issue the refund despite her attempts. She was nice enough to extend the truck rental. Sunday, the manager did end up canceling our contract and refunding the money which I appreciate but I was already soured on my experiencia. He was slightly more polite on Sunday but again, first impressions are lasting. Won’t be doing business here in the future and still waiting for the money to hit my account.

I was calling by the uhaul staff on two occasions telling me my storage unit was open and my lock was missing and it appears to have been broken into and I want my stuff replaced or money for stolen items because I was advised that I had rental insurance and upon my move out it was never applied to my account and that's your staff problem. I'm a loyal patrion with uhaul over 40 years of rental history with you. Please contact the store and they can verify everything I have told you. I was given a schedule for entering and returning for vehicle, schedule changed 3x and at that point we left. Both of my storage spaces were riddled with rat droppings. Even after I spoke to them about it, there was no changes and up until the time that I cleaned it, it remained with rat drippings. Worst of all, when I cleaned it out, there was a dead rat in my storage that had decomposed and maggets were everywhere. In fact, I had to throw out some of my clothing as a result of it.

I wish it was explained on the website that my unit was going to be above a level but not on the second floor which made it difficult to move some items and I would have changed my unit given the option. The place was somewhat dirty and the bathroom was disgusting and reeked of cigarettes while the outside of the building smelled strongly of weed. the inside of the locker had mold or something on the floor of it and there were glue and poison traps for rodents which does not make me feel good about keeping valuables there.

I was very disappointed in how many people helped. It was a very stressful time having to move out and this made it even more stressful. I know many people that did not get in on time from having to hours just to get served. Many people could not have anticipated to wait hours just to get their storage registration done. Also the lines could have been more organized depending upon what people needed to get done considering all the rush for college students. Ex - line for only purchases , line for car rentals and line for storage units.

Self entitled Mgr and customer service representative. I asked for a floor-level access storage, paid for it and when I was walked to my unit, I realize it’s the wrong one. No issue I say to myself since we all make mistakes but when I returned to counter there was no apology from CSR or Mgr. I was put in a unit that had a pillar in it and that took away at least 1 sq foot of space in a 5x5 when there was one totally empty in front It. I very calmly and matter-of-factly explained the dilemma and requested the change for 2nd time in a row. The manger most of clearly knew that unit because he made no fuss but didn’t apologize either. The attitude was surprisingly arrogant and self entitled. As a home owner of a loft next door I was excited about supporting a neighbor business but I can’t and won’t recommend our local uhaul and will make that know in our HOA and Nextdoor platform. A simple sorry and thank you goes a long way. Uhaul falls short.
