I made a reservation, but the counter attendant still asked me what truck I wanted, if I wanted any extra equipment, and where I was going to drop it off at. All of these things were in my reservation. It was also near impossible to understand anything he said because he wasn't speaking clearly. This is my second time renting from this location, and both times the gas tank wasn't full. That seems strange to me. How am I supposed to figure out how to fill up to 1/4 of a tank? I also had this as my pick up location in my reservation, but 2 other locations called me about picking up my rental.James C.

The truck was in need of repair. Alignment, brakes, broken ramp, ect. The location was hard to pull out of, no parking, and though there was a clear entrance for equipment return, there was NOT a clear entrance for equipment pick-up. It ended up being the same entrance.Laurence B.

I was happy with the North Glenstone location. My issue was with the South Campbell location. I had reserved a trailer over a week in advance, when I went to pick it up they told me they didn't have any so they made me a reservation to pick one up at North Glenstone which was fine. But when I went to leave I saw the exact trailer I had rented out in front so I went in to tell them they actually did have the trailer. So the guy started to go out to check it in so I could take it and all of a sudden now that trailer was reserved. I told him yeah it is reserved I have had a reservation for over a week and all he would tell me is that I couldn't take it because it was reserved so I had to drive all the way across town to the North Glenstone location to pick it up. They wouldn't give me a good reason why I could not take that trailer, it was very aggravating because I was on a tight schedule I didn't have time to argue with them so I just left and got the other trailer. Maybe they had a good reason for it but if they did they would have told me. He just kept saying it's reservedâ€¦..so how about a phone call or something to give people a heads up so they can make other plans instead of letting them go in and be told they can't have the item they reserved well in advance that's sitting right outside the front doorJOSHUA S.
I waited on roadside assistance for almost 5 hours on the previous rental and was told I would be given some form of discount for my trouble yet I did not. The staff has always been professional and friendly I felt the oversight regarding compensation for the lost time when the vehicle got a flat.....and had no jack was due to some corporate quota for over booking, the company that showed up for the flat repair were quick and friendly, and only came late because they were the last company uhaul dispatched after repeatedly telling me assistance was on the way, before finally calling the company that was available. The staff at north glenstone are always courteous and helpful. The blame for late dispatch and no compensation for time lost is on corporate.justin E.

At least this location had what I needed without the reservation. I had a reservation for the S. Campbell location but they told me they couldn't rent the truck to me even though I had it on hold because it wasn't in service. What's the point in having a reservation if you can't fulfill the agreement. I had to drive literally all the way across town again just to get another truck. North Glenstone was nice an took care of me but if I can prevent it I will never use Uhaul again. Very poor business ethics.Jenn K.

The automated truck pick-up method using my smartphone had me looking for a truck that turned out to be out-of-service. The great guys at the front desk quickly figured that out, and updated my reservation to a different truck so I could get on my way. Many thanks to the hardworking crew at Springfield-N. I was unable to specify the trailer was clean in the app check in. It would not accept anything but not clean. This caused me to be charged an additional $15. I have used U-Haul many times over the last 20 years and you guys are not not known for exceptional customer service. As a mater of facts its usually fairly poor. However, you have a young man named Sammy working at this location who is amazing. I ended up tipping him because I have never experienced such exceptional service with your company. During my trip I got sick and ended up in the emergency room. Customer service was more concerned about my health then me keeping the truck for an extra day. Ensure the vehicle windows are clean, and the storage box of the truck should be free of standing water. My rental had neither of these items done, and then I was charged a $25 cleaning fee after drop off, which I am sure the person who used it before me also paid....so U-Haul is basically charging every customer a cleaning fee, but not actually cleaning the vehicles.Mike H.

The "counter lanes" to talk to someone are too congested and uninviting. Those racks with merchandise are important to boost sales but can't they be moved to a side? I understand there are plans for a new larger building. That should help.ROGER F.

Received the truck wet and uncleaned...... I didn't realize that until we started moving stuff in it. That's my fault because I didn't check it before I left. I didnt check the mileage on the truck before I left and when I got back to return it. The 10 miles I drove ended up being 29 miles instead making it more than 50% more than intended...... also my fault since I didn't check it. I will not being doing business with u-haul anymore if I have to check everything that is done before I get things.Ethan E.

Although I do love the U-Haul brand recently I've had some troubles I was on a tight time schedule and unfortunately due to some changes with my reservation I was put into a position to where I'm going to be losing a majority of my things I don't blame uhaul, life happens but , it's frustrating and I wish their customer service team would make more of an effort to compensate or assist with the situation. *My facility recommendations for where I have rented multiple units I would say get that restroom clean and keep it fixed also that drive-in bay. The reservation process is a joke. They will let you make reservations on rooms that aren't available giving you a false sense of security. Homeless sleeping in units management ..... horrible does not care about the safety of clients rude loud . Two occasions my debit card was mishandled. Dirty trash inside an outside buildings . Never answered phone . Had to call one on Campbell street to get help . Glenstone location in Springfield mo needs new management before some one gets hurt it is that bad over there feel free to call me and my husband and three others we meet by being in a bad situation just cause we needed to use are storages . Our unit itself was acceptable, but the needles found outside of it and the sketchy people living in their unit a few doors down from ours made the whole experience super uncomfortable. The bathroom in the building where my storage unit was need some tending to. The toilet needed cleaning. There wasn't toilet paper ready on the dispenser. And, the roll of paper towels was on top of the dispenser, instead of being install in the device. Which means a person has to handle the whole thing, to get a piece of paper to dry hands. In this time of Covid-19, this public bathroom could have been a little cleaner and ready to go. It was just a matter of a little neglect. That is all. I really liked all the staff i interacted with. And the building and the unit I had was impeccable. The bathrooms just need looking after. Maybe hire a janitorial service to check on them daily?!?!garrell h. | Overall Experience
Simply out, I am a truck driver, and I just needed a locker for a month while I was in the middle of switching to a new truck. I was not able to get to the office during normal business hours and replied to an email stating the locker was empty with the date to which it was empty. I now show a past due for a locker I am not using. This is the only and real problem I have. I did try to call on a couple of occasions with no answer.
