My experience with UHaul at this location and in general has often been frustrating, but I want to give a shoutout to Fantasia, who personally made this experience my best yet. Staff should note major dents in vehicle. Did not notice til next day that left front fender was bent in very far and roof had dent so severe it let in water during rain. I was not made aware of these damages and cold have been moving things that were not water resistant. All customers should be made aware of dents like these.Margaret G.

The line to rent my truck was rather long and I completed paperwork online. It may be a good idea to have a line for â€œcompleted on lineâ€. And when I returned my truck I had to wait 25 minutes because a truck was blocking the entrance while a car was secured to a trailerPaul H.

Could have just been a bad day for everybody at the store, but had a reservation for 9am (and I understand they opened at 9am) but it took until about 9:20 to get the key for the truck with the employees rushing through the process. When I got the truck I didn't have time to look it over because they didn't extend the end time of my rental. When I finally opened the back to pack it up at my house, there was lots of broken glass in the truck.Nathan H.

I did the apps checkin, received a truck assignment and number, handed a key which was taken back within a minute to give to another customer who had a one way drop-off. I need to note that I had a VIP credit that I used to order my truck. My original order was cancelled, I was given another truck and had to pay again and was not able to use my VIP credit when my order was cancelled, but I was assured when I returned it would be credited. The mgr, Pedro, said he would inform his staff about my rental. Upon returning, none of what I was told happened. The mgr had left, I wasn't able to use the credit, and was told to come back the next day or call uhaul's customer service to get my credit. The mgr, Pedro, needs to train his staff properly, follow through on his word, and honor customers concerns instead of causing hoop-play with the intent of making his stores quotas. What good is the app, if the mgr can dismantle your reservation and make you jump through unnecessary hoops when moving is already a stressful day. Pedro and his store should receive a â€œ0â€ rating based on how they handled my rental and other customer rentals that I observed and over heard, which mounted in to approximately 8-10 customers. Now, I have to fight to get my money back. Wish me luck.Mark H.

When I got there, after 20+ minutes of debate, they told me there was not a truck available, they were sorry and offered to refund $50.00 of my total payment (when I paid over 100). When I told them this was unacceptable, that I reserved a truck, I spoke to someone who confirmed the truck would be available, one was promised to me, and I wasn't leaving until there was a truck for me, because I had to move today, it took them over 45 minutes to figure out I could actually use the truck that they initially thought was scheduled for a trip later in the day. no one knew what they were doing, and to tell someone, sorry, too bad, so sad, there is nothing for you, (when I had spoken to someone and confirmed that the truck would be available, I was there the stated 10 minutes early to pick it up) is not ok. it caused unacceptable stress and frustration to my morning. don't rent from u-haul, I know I won't ever again.Joe F.
The manager of this location is rude af! Stood in line for over a hour beyond our pick up time and got to witness her yell at customers and belittle staff. Location was severely understaffed and instead of valuing the employees she has she forced one to clock out early after screaming at him in front of customers. Then let's talk about the parking lot. Holy cluster eff! Once you have your rental contract expect to use another 35 minutes of your window getting the vehicle off of the lot. Single lane entrance/exit with rental vans blocking it at all times. If you HAVE to use this location? Add at least two hours more than you anticipate needing the truck to compensate for the time you will be wasting in their customer service area/getting the truck off the lot. The only time the manager at this location exhibited any signs of joy or happiness was when she got to call a customer on speakerphone, berate him for being 5 minutes late (he had similar time delays caused by this location at pickup) and laugh as she charged his card a $350 late fee and announced it to the customers in line waiting and chuckled. Time's are tough, there are staffing issues everywhere, I get it: but this woman should not be in ANY customer facing role or managing staff.Kyndal S.
It is not the location I have a problem with it is the process. Twice now I have reserved a UHAUL for a big move out of Cleveland. The first time when we arrived the truck was not there so we had to scramble to get something else. After this occurred I learned my lesson and called a few days before only to find that the location I reserved did not have my truck and I had to go kind of out of my way to pick one up. I called this location the day of only to find out the truck would not be available. After getting home to load the truck we noticed that there was a lot of pill capsules scattered all in the box of the truck as well as water or some liquid in the cup holders and door handles. We also had to go back and pick up the wire to connect the tow dolly to the truck because it was not provided initially. Clearly no preinspection done before renting this out.James K.
The staff for placing the reservation was friendly. The person the brought the truck to front wasn't. I had a complaint that the truck was loud appeared to be the muffler was concerned about getting a ticket for the noise and was told "just give the ticket to U-HAUL if you get stopped. Further upon driving up hill the transmission appeared to be slipping and the brakes were grinding. If call this in and was on the phone on hold multiple times and still get the issues totally resolve. I put in a complaint on 7/23/2022 to get a discount or some type of compensation. The truck was dirty and the transmission didn't shift right. It struggled the whole time I had it. When the greats did kick in it would jerk the whole truck. They wouldn't let me return the truck closer to home. I had to take it back across town causing me extra mileage and gas to the originating location. They told me they would charge me double. First I was over charged I asked for 2 furniture dollied but they only had one I was charged 14 dollars when it should have been 7 dollars for the furniture dolly. I was told they would take this off. When I returnd the truck they couldn't print me a receipt and the internet was a dead zone could not get the e receipt. The truck was not cleaned and it was on its last leg 126 k some miles I thought it would break down on us steering wheel was jacked up. When I picked up the truck it was almost on Empty. I have rented from this uhaul location close to a dozen times and this was an unexpectedly bad experience. When I got in the truck, the gas level was on E and only had about 20 miles left. Thankfully I was not charged extra for returning it below 1/4 tank but I was not expecting to need to get gas in order to get across town. The lot was very crowded with trucks that had nowhere to go so things had to be shuffled and it was an uncomfortably tight squeeze for me to even pull out of the location. There was also no room for me to get into the area in which to return the truck so I ended up having to park it in a customer parking space as it was returned after hours. Again, I usually have no problems whatsoever with this location but this go around was surprisingly difficult.Jessica D.

Follow through when you give instruction. I was told my uhaul would be checked in the next day by the brown skinned heavy set girl with glasses & braids, the next day. My uhaul was checked in 4 days later after I called customer service to check. I was charged over $200! Luckily a young lady (pregnant) inside quickly reversed the extra charges and charged me the correct amount! Not enough employees for how busy this location is. The right side mirror was shattered when we got to vehicle. We were told it was fine and we'd still be able to see out it. We did hours of highway driving and it was scary and dangerous without the use of our side view mirror. We were so anxious from driving blind on one side, I forgot to stop and fill the gas tank to 7/8ths so ended up being charged more. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone. At return... 10 minutes to closing... Willie was already postured to close shop and run out the door. Stated I needed to check truck in online as "we are closed". BS!!! I demanded he stay and finish his damb job by checking me in. Your staff here has a major attitude problem towards customers. I felt I was inconveniencing them having to show up to work on a weekend. In morning gal who checked me out was abrupt, wanted transaction over, and just stood there with her hand out ready to grab my card. I have many scars and battle wounds from the lights turning off while I was in the middle of storing my stuff the manager clean that she would get it fixed, never did. I had an original issue when I first got here when there was no staff there and they all bailed and didn't tell any of the customers what they were doing and they just left and they were extremely rude and I told the manager about this and she calmedsomething of mine and it was nice for you to do that but you know they never fix the security issue with the lights the employees are still lazy do not care about them the customers and the last time my last day there I still had an issue where I was trying to check out of my storage unit and there were three employees sitting outside doing nothing and they were customer sitting inside weeding doing nothing but waiting for somebody that's going to come that's not going to come because they're sitting outside talking to other employees I would never recommend this place I almost wanna never use Uhaul again it was the absolute worst place I could ever go everything I did but into that place had a fit through the size of a door otherwise it was a nightmare to try and get this other side door open and I just absolutely hate this place.Brandon G. | Overall Experience

I hired a move help abd paid the crew (via Uhaul recommended site) to offload my stuff into the storage that I paid for (at Uhaul site). I was informed (by the move help) that Uhaul staff told him not to offload (unload) the Uhaul truck. The truck was just sitting at Uhaul yard. Uhaul keeps on charging me everyday for the truck I did not use even though it was returned (parked) at the Uhaul approved return location. Not only that, without communicating with me, Uhaul went ahead to close the storage I fully registered and paid for. I see this as a sabotage. I contacted Uhaul supervisor few times for help, she did not offer to help. All I was hearing from her was I cannot help. Add storage facility when you were in the dark damp and deep recesses of the building The light can go out and there are no motion detectors inside of the storage units inside of the hallways leading all the way back to the entrance, I tripped on my stuff in the pitch black and then try to tell one of the people that work there who stared at me through a glass window and laughed at me after that as I was trying to move my stuff a very rude employee want to head and locked a door as I was trying to go through it and walked away saying she had a closet as I said it would've been nice to know before hand and she just mumbled something I probably didn't want to hear. I have to remove all my belongs from Uhaul and put them into another company's storage because whomever took my reservations made my life difficult at this point by putting me into a too small of a storage space and all my belongings did not fit they claim they couldn't find my reservation so I stood around while she searched had to call around to other Uhaul's for storage no luck. Workers was not clear on how to properly check into unit. Also, I feel as though they one of the workers at the location (nahrie or jahrie) did not take her job serious. She was extremely rude and unprofessional. I asked her to change my access code and she told me they couldn't do it in store and that I had to call customer service but I told her customer service said that's something that had to do in store. After I told her that she still insisted I call customer service and kept stating they can't change it in store. I called customer service again and they told her the same thing. I was not knowledgable about the sizes of the unit so the unit I was assigned was to small. I shared what I had so the could recommend a size. I needed to exchange the unit which was on the second floor. I wasn't informed of the facility set prior to purchase or else I would have went else where. The larger unit was on the other side of the facility. We had unloaded the truck and turned it in and it was raining. I ended up having to pack y car with what I could and throw the rest away. The gentleman told me to close the door because it was closing time and we would not have any access. I said the young lady at the counter said I could. He went to verify and said you only can stay until 10p after which the alarm would sound and the police would arrive. I was frustrated and disappointed to say the least after driving 1025 miles to Cleveland. This was the location the Uhual company in Florida recommended. It should be said prior to purchase what the storage space set up is. Everyone is not familiar. I have never had to do this before. The rates at this location are almost double those in other areas.
